Aubreys pov later on that night
I was sitting on the couch eatin popcorn watching love nd hip hop i heard a knock on the door i got up and answered and it was aug i could look and tell sumthin was on his mind
Aubrey- hey babe
August- hey bae
He pecked my lips i pecked him back and he came in i looked down at his shoes and i saw blood my eyes lit up and i grabbed his hand we walked into the living room i sat next ta him and he wrapped his arms around me i looked at him and he was avoiding eye contact with me
Aubrey- august what happened
August- what chu mean?!
Aubrey- i know you aug, sumthin on ya mind then on top of dat its blood on ya shoe
He looked down at his shoe then at me
August- i just had ta handle sumthin thats all
I looked at him and he looked away
Aubrey- ight then
I rolled ma eyes and looked back at the tv it was quiet until i looked down at his shoe and he looked at me
August- you makin it more than what it is bre its ok nothin happened
Aubrey- if nothing happened then why cant chu tell me you dont gotta hide shit from me
August- i care about your feelings bre and sometimes things are not meant to be told

August- baby please dont do this to me im really tryna protect you i dont want your feelings to get hurt

I raised and eyebrow and looked at him

I looked at him and nodded
Aubrey- na go clean dat blood off ya shoes
He kissed ma forehead and got up and walked out da living room i looked back at the tv
10 mintues later
He came back and sat next ta me i looked at him and he pulled me into his arms i rested ma head on his chest and we watched tv his phone went off and i looked up at em but he kept his eyes on the tv
Aubrey- aint chu gonna see who texted you
August- no
Aubrey- why
August- just in case you kno i never text anybody back i hate texting
Aubrey- oh ok
August- yea
I looked back at the tv
Aubrey- did you eat?!
August- nah
Aubrey- you hungry?
August- im chillen
Aubrey- nah you aint im bouta make you some food
August- babe im not hungry
He laughed and i smiled
Aubrey- you aint eat nd dats not good and just kno if you rollin wit me you gon stay fed
He laughed and so did i he picked me up and carried me to the kitchen he sat me on the counter and i looked at him
Aubrey- na what chu wanna eat?
August- Tacos
Aubrey- ight i got chu
I hopped off da counter and washed ma hands i started ta cook and while i did that he wrapped his arms around ma waist
20 mintues later
I finished cookin and now we was upstairs in ma room he was sittin on ma bed and i was in ma closet i pulled out ma black night shorts and a white tank top i slipped them on and layed on the bed
August- one thang fa sho you can cook yo ass off
I giggled and so did he , he had food on the corner of his mouth and i wiped it off he finished his food i took the plate down stairs and washed it when i came back upstairs he was sitting on the bed watching tv i got back in the bed and got comfortable
2 hours later
I was layin in bed wit aug when my phone rung it was Kimberly i answered on the second ring
Aubrey- Hey girl
Kimberly - girl, where are you
Aubrey- home
Kimberly- are you sitting down?!
Aubrey- yes why whats wrong
Kimberly - when i tell you dont scream
Aubrey- alright
I sat up and aug looked at me
Kimberly - Deandré was shot
When i heard that i froze i was numb for a second
Aubrey- is he gonna be ok?!!!
Kimberly - yea hes cool he gonna have ta use crutches
I put my hand on my head
Kimberly - you good?!
Aubrey- honestly No , i need ta hurry up and try ta digest this ill call you back kim
Kimberly- ight ma
I hung up my phone and sat it on the nightstand
August- whats wrong babe?!
Aubrey- ...... Deandré was shot
August- damn thats crazy
I looked at him
Aubrey- god!!! , i told him stay out them streets its like he keeps gettin lucky as bad as dat sounds but its true he always get shot come back from that shit and thinks he untouchable
August- listen ma sometimes people just do things the way they want to and aint shit you can do ta stop it you gotta let em learn on they own
I looked at him and he kissed my forehead
Aubrey- yea your right
He cuddled me up in his arms and we fell asleep
*The next morning *
I woke up and felt the other side of the bed aug wasnt there i called his name but got no answer i rolled ma eyes and turned on work by Rihanna i danced in the mirror alil bit and went ta go take a shower i did my hygiene shit and got dressed

I grabbed my car keys , phone and book bag and drove ta school i parked ma car and i seen kim and Dez standing by the door i hugged them
Dez- you good ?!
Aubrey- yea im cool yall seen aug?!

Aubrey- just askin , anything on dré?!
Kim- awww you still care
Dez- of course she do dip shit
Kim- shut cha black ass up but nah not yet all i know is he gone have ta be on crutches
I nodded and the bell rung we said our goodbyes i was sittin in class when aug walked in i looked at him and he sat next ta me he pecked my lips

August - i had ta go home and get some clean clothes
I just nodded cause sumn wasnt right i jus knew aug wasnt tellin me the truth but ima let it slide fa right na
The bell rung and it was time a go ta ma next class when i got in algebra i felt nothing but stares on me I heard whispers i looked at my clothes ta make sure i was good and yea i was so ion knoe wat the problem is i shrugged sat down and starter ma work

So shit is startin ta go around somebody runing they mouth , from what i Hea people sayin i killed Deandré , i mean ion care what people really say I just don't want bre hearin sumn dats not true den on top of dat she still got feelings fa dis nigga even if she didnt say it i know fa sho she does he was ha first everything she gone always love em its nothing i can do
I put my shit in my locker and walked ta the lunch room everybody at this front table started starin at me

I looked at the rest of da niggas who was quiet then back at them and walked off i seen bre and ha girls at a table i walked ova dea and she smiled

I looked at kimberly and she rolled ha eyes at me
Kim- ya ugly ass
August- shut cha bald head ass up i came ova hea ta talk ma girl not chu
I snapped bre got up and i wrapped ma arms around ha and we walked off

She made a confused face

She smiled showin ha dimples

I looked at ha
August- beybe i gotta go i get at cha latta
She made a confused face i kissed ha lips and ran off i got in ma car and drove ta the spot
