Chapter Twenty-Three.
Tyler's POV:
Alaynah nods.
So. She sees my car, that I clearly left on the bridge last night and I can't even see it but it doesn't have a shadow. I think she is going insane.
"Alaynah.. Are you sure that you are okay? Are you dizzy? Have you been getting enough sleep?" I ask her. I'm really worried now.
"You don't believe me do you? I see a fucking car. You're car. The one you picked me up in on my first day at school, the one that smells exactly like your deodorant. Like you. Yes. That one!" She is almost yelling by the end of her rant.
"Well how am I meant to fucking believe you when I can't see jack shit Alaynah?" The words fell out of my mouth, I didn't even know I was saying them.
Alaynah's POV:
Did he seriously just say that? I look down, my chin further down than usual. I had not realized that my chin had dropped to the ground. How could he have just said that? I pick my head up and storm into Tyler's home to pack up my things. I can hear footsteps following me, of course he was following me. As soon as I enter Tyler's room I turn to face him.
"Stop. I am packing up my things and going home."
His mouth drops. Almost smashes through the floor. I try to lock eyes with him, I was serious. But. He didn't seem to notice me, he was looking right through me. I spin right back around, my eyes lock with what I am pretty sure Tyler was looking at. My chin hits the ground, I swear. I turn back to face Tyler again.
"I swear I-" I start, but he doesn't let me finish.
"Get out." His voice calm, but there had to be another emotion in it. He could not be calm.
Disappointment.
