Chapter 23: Clan Wren
Ahsoka Tano's POV
Ahsoka, Rex, Bo and Lux were now on their way to Takodana to meet up with the rest of the rebellion and see what needed to be done. Bo had told her cell to scatter and stay off the radar until further notice and unlike most Mandalorian's, they knew when to backdown. She had noticed that Lux had seemed a little on edge most of the trip but she had figured that he was probably just a little worried that The Empire might be on their tail.
"What could Maul have possibly wanted with Mandalore again?" Bo asked as she joined Ahsoka and Rex in the common room and sat down on one of the seats.
"All I know is that he doesn't know when to quit" Rex stated
"Ahsoka, you know him the best, do you have any clue?" Bo asked taking off her helmet and setting it down whilst flicking her short orange hair to the side,
"Your guess is as good as mine" Ahsoka replied but the truth was, she had an idea of what he was up to. She thought back to when she had to ride the temple lift with him on Malachor.
THREE MONTHS AGO
Once the lift returned back to the bottom of the temple, both Ahsoka and Maul walked on and started heading up to meet with Kanan and Ezra. To say she was surprised to see Maul here was an understatement and she made it her mission to find out what he was really doing here.
"Alright Maul you may have fooled Ezra and Kanan but I know you too well to even believe you for a second so you're going to tell me what you're really doing here" Ahsoka spat with her arms crossed against her chest.
"Ah Lady Tano I told you earlier that I also want the empire to fall on its knees" replied Maul with a smirk. Ahsoka just looked at him with one of those looks that had how-dumb-do-you-think-I-am written all over it.
"Let's just say that when the Empire is destroyed power will be scattered and went that power is scattered I will collect some so that I can hunt him down." Maul snarled at her. Ahsoka was about to ask who Maul was referring to him when he said him but he didn't get the chance as their ride was at it's end and an Inquisitor was about to chop of Ezra's fingers.
Kanan Jarrus' POV
"Glad to see you all showed up" Kanan announced once everyone had entered the room and taken a seat. Before him stood Hera, Sabine, chopper and Ezra. Zeb was meant to show up but he was still missing, a search party had been sent to look for him but so far they'd found nothing.
"Now what I'm about to discuss with you is very important and must stay confidential. If you do not agree with what I'm about to say you must promise me that you won't tell the rest of the rebellion." All of them except Ezra looked at Kanan funny.
"We have a mole" Kanan quickly stated and watched the horror form on Hera and Sabine's faces, his accusation even earned a few beeps and bloops from chopper. His was about to explain further but Ezra cut in.
"We think it's Ahsoka" Ezra said getting up and standing next to his master. Once again, Hera and Sabine looked surprised and gasped a little. "Kanan was explaining it to me earlier and it all makes sense once you hear the story.
"Well for starters, do any of you know where she is right now?" Kanan asked, the two of them looked at each other and then back at Kanan who knew the answer was no. "Don't you find it a bit suspicious how she won't tell anyone where she's been the past three months and have you noticed how ever since she returned we've lost about three or four bases that are vital to our operation? I say she's working for The Empire but more directly, Vader."
Sabine and Hera once again looked at each other with a knowing face. Hera then signed and said "well I'll always support you Kanan so if you say Ahsoka's turned then I believe you." Hera got up and walked over to stand with Ezra and Kanan who each gave her a smile.
"We already have Lux Bonteri on our side and I already have a plan in my head which will help us to catch her before she realises that we are on to her. So Sabine are you in?"
Sabine looked up at everyone in the room, they were all on the other side except her. "No, no I'm not in!" Sabine said as she stood up.
"Sabine..." Ezra started
"NO. Kanan you've lost your mind!" She said turning her gaze from Ezra to Kanan. "In case you've forgotten, Ahsoka is the reason your not dead on Mustafar, she's the reason you two aren't dead on Malachor and she's the reason we've got so much Intel to strike against the empire!" Sabine yelled as she stormed out of the room.
"Kanan what do we do, Sabine will surely tell Ahsoka" Hera said.
"Let her. She'll be to late"
Sabine Wren's POV
Sabine made her way down the corridor of the rebel base and turned the corner into the hanger. She decided to contact Ahsoka via her com but the voice that replied didn't belong to Ahsoka.
"Who is this?" The voice asked. Strangly enough, Sabine recognised the voice.
"This is Sabine Wren" she answered.
"Sabine!" The person yelled and that was finally when Sabine recognised the voice of Bo Katan.
"MUM?!?!?"
Sorry for no updates lately but I've just been so busy but that I'm on holidays, they should be frequent, also that's how we spell mum in Australia which is where I'm from so don't say that I spelled it wrong. See you all in the next update.
