Chapter 11: Wounds
Kanan's POV
Both men looked up to see Ahsoka standing at the door and from what Kanan could tell, she had probably been there for most of him and Rex's conversation. Kanan looked over to Rex for approval and the Clone War veteran gave him a small nod. He walked out of the room as Ahsoka replaced where he had sat and headed down the hallway to his and Ezra's room. Now where is that holocron?
Ahsoka's POV
"How much did you hear" was the first thing Rex asked, "all of it" Ahsoka replied. She had come in here hoping to make amens with her old friend but even for a former Jedi, she was having trouble figuring out how he was feeling.
"I'm so sorry" Rex said as he lunged in to hug her which she had to admit, surprised her a bit. Instead of questioning the sudden embrace, she hugged him back until Rex let go and sat back in his seat.
"These past few months without you have been so hard because we all had to get back into the fight straight away and I guess I never just got to say goodbye. But then you showed up alive and everything and then claimed that Anakin is Vader and...and" Rex spat out coming to a stop.
"Rex, it's ok. I actually came here to apologise for throwing you off balance. I should have waited, I mean you just found out I'm still alive" she said, laughing a little towards the end.
"Ahsoka, I've known you to long to know that's not the only thing you came here for" Rex said. "Well you're right about that" she said, making them both laugh a little. "Rex I have a mission for us. Go to Coruscant and recover evidence of Anakin's turn.
Darth Vader's POV
Vader sat back down in his meditation pod and reached deep into the force. He had been to shocked about Ahsoka's survival to even release that the clone was his former 2nd in command, Rex. First Obi-Wan then Padmé, then Ahsoka and now REX?!? They will all pay for their betrayal
Darth Maul's POV
He sat the TIE down on the surface of the planet and hopped out falling straight to the ground, his wounds in agony of the touch to the hard surface. Pushing past the pain to stand up and start walking, he was glad he landed in an isolated part of the planet that wouldn't attract any attention but the only negative part to that was the fact that there was no medic close. Sure he could have gone to Dathomir and used Dark Magik but going back to that place would have opened up more horrible wounds than the ones he currently had, wounds that could never be healed, mental wounds. Right now his only goal was to survive, and he had gotten pretty good at that over the years.
