Spiral and Salt

A symbol that repeats everywhere — in shells, in cracks, in the patterns on Lorna’s skin, and later on the doctor’s own skin. The spiral is not an ornament. It is a birth map of the Abyss, a being that exists outside of time and space. Salt is the smell that remains after every contact with it. realizes that he is not a doctor, but a midwife. And the births he attends may be the last in the history of humanity.
