Part 15
The Second Sin War
Part 2
Faced with complete defeat, Jaldabaoth resorted to a desperate measure. He summoned all his priests to perform a terrifying, all-consuming ritual of evil. From the very abyss known as Tehom, the most nightmarish creations of the universe were unleashed. Among them were the Nephilim-hybrids of humans and angels. Their atrocities, these "abominations," so overwhelmed the Almighty's patience that they gave birth to the Great Flood, and their corrupted souls were cast into the abyss of Tehom.
There, in Tehom, there's only emptiness. An eternity for the prisoners to reflect on their misdeeds. The cold penetrates to the bone, and breathing becomes torture. Time stands still, sounds and colors vanish, every force, like a sponge, absorbed into the ether. The prisoners "enjoy" the eternal silence.
Jaldabaoth, learning of this, plotted to summon the souls of all the Nephilim in order to, drawing energy from Hell itself, create a monster that would put an end to all existence.
Yaldabaoth and his priestesses summoned Ogya and Hakhia, the sons of Samiyazi. Yaldabaoth's initial attempts to sway the brothers to his side failed-they were too rebellious. Yaldabaoth then bound them in hellish chains, using them as vessels for the remaining souls of the Nephilim.
The heavenly host, having learned from Metatron, the Face of God, that Jaldabaoth had opened the gates of Tehom and was collecting the souls of the Nephilim, rushed into hell, led by Apollyon and Abaddon. Fighting their way through hordes of demons and sinners, they reached Jaldabaoth's castle, but they were too late. A roar of incomprehensible horror emanated from the palace. The roofs and walls of the castle collapsed, and a colossal figure emerged from its heart.
Even before the arrival of the Heavenly Host, Jaldabaoth began fusing Ogya and Hakhia into a single entity. Millions of Nephilim souls screamed in unbearable pain, sealed in a tight embrace. The brothers could not bear the torment, but Jaldabaoth, resorting to ancient knowledge and spells, merged the two vessels into one. When the ritual was complete, the new being, woven from the souls of the Nephilim, began to uncontrollably destroy Jaldabaoth's palace.
The Beast of Sin appeared to prevent Hell from being consumed-failing to stop it would create a black hole that would swallow the entire universe-and the Heavenly Host launched an attack to disrupt the ritual that would take control of the Beast, which Jaldabaoth intended to control. Apollyon set out to find Jaldabaoth, while Abaddon, with the Legion of Hell and the Heavenly Host, launched an attack on the Beast of Sin.
Apollyon reached Jaldabaoth while his squad held off the onslaught of sinful demons. Apollyon summoned his celestial labryss and advanced toward his enemy. Jaldabaoth's servants attempted to block the angel's path, but Jaldabaoth stopped them and stepped forward himself. He stopped a few steps away.
"I will never be king while they fear only your God," Jaldabaoth said, summoning his spear. Their weapons clashed. Apollyon attempted to strike with his fist, but Jaldabaoth blocked it, pushing the angel back with a sweeping swing of his spear. Apollyon slid back, stabilizing himself with his wings. Laying down his weapons, Jaldabaoth approached smugly, but stopped when he felt a wetness on his face. Running his hand over his face, he saw blood on his finger.
His face changed, his brow furrowed, and his gaze fell on his opponent. Jaldabaoth was engulfed in hellish flames, transforming him. Giant demonic wings sprouted from his back, and horns with a fiery crown appeared on his head.
Without waiting for the transformation to complete, Apollyon rushed toward him, fist raised. But Jaldabaoth intercepted his arm and twisted it, instantly piercing Apollyon's side with his weapon. The angel grabbed the spear's guard with both hands. Jaldabaoth abruptly wrenched it free. Apollyon glanced at him, but Jaldabaoth sent him flying with a powerful kick to the chest, sending the angel of heaven falling to his knees, his hands braced on the ground.
Jaldabaoth approached the fallen enemy with a smile. But suddenly, a beam of pure light struck him. It was Apollyon's squad, coming to the aid of their leader. Jaldabaoth covered himself with his wings, enduring the blast of light, then, with a roar, spread them wide, dispersing the last of the angelic power. He rushed at the squad of angels and destroyed them in seconds. Pulling his infernal spear from the last fallen warrior, he surveyed his deed.
Apollyon, leaning on his axe, rose to his feet, bleeding from his chest. Jaldabaoth, intercepting the spear, looked at his opponent with a smile. Apollyon rose, his gaze clouded by the effects of his enemy's actions. Breaking the air around him, he appeared before Jaldabaoth. He raised his axe, snapped the spear's shaft, severing his arm, and kicked him in the chest, knocking the wind out of him and sending him crashing to the ground. Apollyon towered over him, flipped him over, and plunged his hand into his chest. Immediately, Jaldabaoth began to emanate searing hellish lightning, and he screamed as his soul was torn from his body. Apollyon withdrew his hand, holding the thick, red hellish energy of the soul within it, and squeezed it with all his might, destroying it, thus breaking the Beast's control and killing the enemy of creation. Not satisfied with this, Apollyon swung his axe at full height and severed Jaldabaoth's head.
