Chapter two
The moon

"May the moon shine upon you."

"Woah! You have a pretty voice!" Luffy pointed out with a grin before look around the cave. "...This cave is huge." He added before turning back to [Name]. "I am Monkey D. Luffy! I'm gonna be the king of the Pirates!" He introduced with a grin.

"D..." [Name] muttered quietly remembering a certain man that he entrusted with the broken piece of the Iridescent Moon. "What do you want?" She asked. "Me?" He replied pointing at himself looking at her in confusion. "Yes."

Luffy tilted his head. "I got lost. And the kuneki lead me here." He explain pointing at the Kuuhenki. The Kuuhenki spun around before flying towards [Name]. She gently extend her hands holding the Kuuhenki.

"Luonnotar." [Name] called gently. The silence was broken by the sounds of growling. Luonnotar and [Name] both turn their head looking at Luffy who only grin sheepishly.

"Do you have any food?" Luffy asked. [Name] blink in confusion. "Food?" She repeated in confusion. "I'm starving." Luffy admitted without hesitation as his eyes look around for something edible. [Name] remains silence. She had expected demands.

Power.

Knowledge.

Blessings.

Revenge.

Not food.

"There is none." [Name] casually replied making Luffy pout. "Aw." Luffy sat on the flowerly ground with a disappointed sigh. [Name] frowned. "Why are you still here?" She asked making Luffy turn back to her. "Hm?"

"You have nothing to gain from me." [Name] pointed out. "Oh." Luffy thought for a moment before casually replying, "I don't need anything." The answer came so naturally that she almost thought he was mocking her.

"Everyone needs something." She claimed turning her full attention to him. "Not really." Luffy rebutted. "Then why speak to me?" She asked. "'Cause you're here." Luffy replied casually with a grin. [Name] fell silent, most people approached her with fear. Others with worship but expect something in return. Some just plain greed. That is why many always seek Nod-Krai to get something. Lauma is the one who have to help them leave Nod-Krai.

Yet this stranger who claimed to want to be the King of the Pirates looked at her the same way he looked at a normal human. Just another person.

"You don't know who I am." She pointed out. "Should I?" He asked. "You aren't afraid." She asked, though it was more of a statement than a question. "Nah."

"What if I'm dangerous?" [Name] questioned making Luffy grinned.
"Then you're dangerous."

"..."

He said it like it wasn't important.

No judgment.

No fear.

No expectations.

Just a fact.

For the first time in a very long while, [Name] didn't know what to say. She felt something she hadn't felt for 20 years. Something warm.

After several minutes of silence, Luffy suddenly stood up. "Well, I'm gonna go find food." He turned toward the exit but stop looking back at [Name]. "You wanna go with me?" He offered with a grin.

[Name] remains silence. "No." She replied simply making Luffy pout a little before grinning. "You're boring." He said making [Name]'s eyebrows raised in surprise. As Luffy used his rubber power to go back up. As soon as she was alone, her mouth form to a smile and soon enough she was laughing a little.

"luonnotar." She called. Luonnotar float towards her tilting her head in confusion. "Guide him to where his crew is." The luonnotar hop in the air before disappearing. [Name] turn away and walking back to her sanctions. "This world still had people like you..." She muttered to herself with a sad smile.
