Soft Sand and The Moonlight
Hey guys! I hope you guys liked the first chapter this chapter we will see a new character! This character will play a big part in the story :)
A week went by and I was surviving, I wasn't at the point where I wasn't enjoying it either. Before school ended our teacher Mrs. Trader a 40 year old widow with crooked teeth and always those runs in her stockings forced us to write about our summer vacation, "luckily" I'm at my grandparents and there just a ton of things to write about, yes I am very sarcastic.
During the farmers market we sat down at a bench, my Grandparents were high school sweethearts and got married as soon as they graduated, but that's all I know about them.
"Hey Gram? I'm doing this um thing for school and do you mind telling me some stories about, well your life.", I said as I started flipping the pages of my ever so empty notebook.
"Well what do you want to know", lgramps said as she sipped on the straw of an almost empty cup.
I looked at her, "Well, everything I guess".
"Grab a pen then sweetie and Tuchekins get her a drink, we'll be here a while", she said.
"I was born in 1926 New York City, I suppose, mainly because I was adopted so early I don't really know where I was born , all I know is someone dropped me off in a box near a house, I have 3 siblings 2 girls 1 boy.", She said.
"Gram that was great but I need detail, more depth please", I said as I dipped my drink.
We spent all afternoon talking about Gram's life. She always talked about how she never looked like her adopted family and how she always got questions from her friends about how different she was, but over all this sadness Gramps was the light through all the pain , I might put this story in my final copy of My Journal, that's it's unofficial name, it's called the Bay kiss.
She sat looking at the moonlight, as its reflection twinkled in her eyes, she rubbed her hands against the soft yellow sand, a soft footstep came behind her "Hello", he said as he inched closer to her and sat down, they both looked at each other as the sun set, he leaned in closer to her as she leaned in closer at the very same moment their lips locked, the sweetness of the sun complimented each embrace and the water touched their feet on that evening.

So that night I walked down that dirt road to the bay I sat down on the sand taking a big whiff of the air, I sat there for a couple of minutes just overlooking the sunset. I heard footsteps behind me he sat down next to me saying nothing for about 5 minutes his eyes were puffy as if he was crying he wore a oversized flannel with light blue jeans and a white tank top his hair was in one of those Shawn Hunter like styles, and his eyes were crystal blue and big. After those 5 minutes he finally said something. "So what are you the other daughter?", he said, with his face straight.
"No", I replied "Grand daughter", " I'm guessing you know my grandparents, why weren't you at the party?", I said wanting to slap myself for saying something so stupid.
He had one of those silences again for about a minute he replied, "It was just too hard" right after he got up, "I gotta go", he said looking as if he was going to bawl his eyes out, I never caught his name never knew why he was the way he was.
"Wait!", I said and then he disappeared into the night.
I stayed up all night thinking about him and how short our conversation was, Was it me? Was he disgusted of me? Did he think I was weird? Why was he crying? All these thoughts raced through my mind before coming to a conclusion, I looked at painting that Lucy made of her and the Strange boy, I inched closer to the painting and read the print it stated "Ray and I '93" Everything started to come together, I had to interview him for the story, that's it! A documentary, I said as I flopped on to my bed and turned off the light.
