Our clothes were soaking wet by the time we got back to Jacks place.

Once again, nobody was here.

"Well that was something" Jack laughed, "you can borrow some of my clothes, I'll go start a fire" he smiled.

I slowly made my way to his room, I felt weird doing this.

His floor creaked in his room, the dresser squeaked when you opened it.

I grabbed a pair of boxers, and a shirt. The boxers were big enough that they're basically knee high shorts.

I slipped into his bathroom, removing my wet clothing. I slipped off my shirt to realized that the gauze was wet and ripping.

Shit.

I was to emotionally drained at this point to panic(!) so I just threw out the gauze, slipping off the rest of my clothes.

"Okay, fire's started," Jack announced, stepping towards me. I noticed his eye's drift to my chest but quickly back up to my face, "I'll go get changed" he smiled.

"Thank you" I muttered outside of his door. "For what?" He asked back, followed by a little bit of shuffling.

"For everything," I proceeded to explain, "for letting come over, for letting me use your clothes, for taking care of me, for not mentioning my chest" the last part was muffled but still audible.

He stayed silent for a couple seconds before the door opened.

"I know how hard it must be, well, I don't know but it must be difficult. I know you don't want me to say anything, and I didn't and will continue not to because I know what you're going through, even if I don't know it on a personal level" I felt my eye's burn.

Tears staining my cheeks once I finally fell into his embrace. "Thank you thank you thank you"

I sniffed, "I really needed to hear that" I let go, not wanting to though.

His eyes stared into mine, kind eyes.

He smiled, walking to the cupboard and grabbing a bag of chips.

"I'm not used to skipping school" I chuckled, wiping away the remaining tears, "it's not all that bad" he responded.

"Your house is comfy" I spoke, walking over to the couch with him. "My house is lonely" "whys that?" He chuckled, "because my family left to go to work three years ago, haven't came back"

"So you live alone?" I didn't bother asking about his family, it's none of my business.

"Pretty much. I like you here though, reminds me I'm not alone" I flutter my eyes up to his, his eyes are as blue as the sky.

Well, the sky's not blue right now, it's kind of grey with a-

Bang.

And with a flash of lighting and a clap of thunder, the lights flickered off with a tiny squeak escaping my lips, followed by the laughter of Jack.

"That was so cute!"
