I looked down at phone as I clicked on that new app called FaceQ to make cute, mini avatars and started to make my best friend, Claire, on there. I was waiting for her at the local park because she needed advice, but she told me to meet her here, so here I am
"Y/n?" A familiar voice asked. Oh no. I turned my head to see my ex boyfriend, Joey Graceffa, standing there with a shocked look on his face
"What do you want?" I growled and looked back down to my phone
"I-I thought you moved away" He stammered
"I only made up that excuse to get away from you" I muttered
"The accident was three months ago! Can't you please forgive me?" He pleaded
"How can I trust you?" I pondered
"Listen, I've changed. It turns out that Brittany was a lesbian and she was a little too clingy before I figured out her secret, so then all I wanted was just to be your friend again. I wanted you to be there to comfort me in my darkest times, like you did at prom. Besides, nobody is like you. You can actually save me from depression and wanting to kill myself. Whenever I feel like I'm worthless, I just have flashbacks to those days when we had our kisses to making fun of horrible movies and just laughing at our own videos on Youtube. I miss those days, y/n, I really do. I want to go back in time and fix that mistake. I was so stupid to let you go and I never want to again. I don't have to be your boyfriend, but at least let me be your friend again" Joey was in tears and practically on his knees begging for forgiveness
"I guess we can be friends again" I shrugged with a small smile. To be honest, I missed our days together too, just not as much as he did
"You serious?" He asked with hope in his eyes
"Do I love to tease you?" I aksed with a smirk
"Oh my gosh! Thank you so much!" Joey cheered as he gave me a giant hug and sat down beside me on the tiny park bench
"I think this bench is a little too small for the both of us" I chuckled. I had headphones in, also, and the song The Only Exception by Paramore came on
"Then let's just move" He shrugged as he grabbed my hand and pulled me up
"You are the only exception" I sang along to the song quietly
"Paramore much?" He questioned while we walked down the sidewalk within the park
"Well, you are my only exception" I chuckled
"So does that mean your exception can do this?" Joey grabbed my waist and gave me a passionate kiss. I was so tempted to pull away, but I just gave in and kissed him back. After a minute, we quietly pulled away and looked into each other's eyes
"Yes, yes it does" I smiled and poked his nose. "Big goof"
"But I'm your big goof" He gave me a quick kiss and grabbed my hand as we started down the sidewalk again. I leaned my head onto his shoulder and kept on walking until we made it to the entrance of the park
I only just now realized I forgot about Claire while walking with Joey. Oops. I quickly pulled out my phone and texted her
Me: Sorry that I forgot about you today! I ran into an old friend and tied up all loose ends with him. His name is Joseph Michael Graceffa
