The Prince of India Part 2
(Lena)
As I got up I made sure Ciel didn't see my tear stained cheeks. I started walking away when Ciel grabbed my wrist. I let a gasp of surprise escape my mouth. "C-Ciel."
"Please stop crying Lena. It doesn't suit you." Ciel said wiping a tear from my face. I felt the heat rush to my cheeks and he smirked. "The criminal will make his move soon then I'll need your protection."
"Yes, Lord Phantomhive." I said and he let go. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight."
"Sweet dreams." I said as I walked in to my room. I got on the bed and hugged my knees. "Why can he make me blush so easily?" I mumbled. "Mom what's wrong with me?"
************************************************************************
I sat there in silence waiting for my cue until I couldn't take it anymore. I found Ciel and Lau in the parlor. Ciel looked at me. "You look better." He said.
"I feel much better my Lord." I said. "Thank you."
"He's made his move my lord." Sebastian said hanging from rafters of the building.
"Good let's follow him." Ciel said.
"Finally." I said.
"Take me with you!" Soma said appearing in the doorway.
"You? Why?"
"I know Agni has been sneaking out after I fall asleep. I want to know what he has been up to. That is my right."
_________________________________________________________________
"A nice place. Who lives here?" Soma asked as we watched Agni walk into the estates gate.
"This estate belongs to Harold West Jeb. He imports a wide range of goods from India. He also owns various stores like coffee houses. I met him once. He's disgustingly obsessed with his social stature." Ciel said.
"People in his coffee houses were trussed and hung upside down, but since Mr. West, is representative, happen to be away, West so he escaped unharmed." Sebastian said.
"My isn't he lucky." Lau said.
"I don't like him already." I mumbled as I hugged my jacket tighter.
"Shall we have a look?" Ciel said.
"Indeed." Sebastian said picking up Ciel and jumped the fence.
______________________________________________________________
Sneaking into the estate wasn't that hard. No guards. Nothing. Ciel opened a door only to hear a man say. "Why not relax with a nice Scotch? An excellent one from Justerini & Brooks, they hold the Royal Warrant." He said. Agni sat on the couch with an emotionless face. "Our plan had been perfect so far. You've done well for me, Agni. I think we've done all we need to. Hanging anyone else won't be necessary." The man grabbed Agni's wrist. "With this godly hand of yours the Royal Warrant is as good as mine."
"A Royal Warrant?" Ciel said. "That's what this is?"
"And if I carry out this plan as promised, then Mina..."
I saw Soma's eyes widen and tried to grab him before he ran into the room but I was too late. "Where is Mina!"
"What the?"
"My prince!"
Ciel tried to step forward but Sebastian grabbed him and covered his mouth. "West is most likely going to recognize us my Lord. We must stay back." He whispered.
"What is this? You have known where Mina was all along Agni?" Soma yelled.
"I see this intrusive young man is your master."
"And you are the man who took Mina away! Get him! Do you hear me!" Agni looked torn. "Well what are you waiting for?"
"Let's grab that idiot prince an get out of here right now." Ciel said.
"But West will recognize you as soon as you walk in." Lau said.
"I'll take care of it." Sebastian said.
"Well Agni are you going to take care of this brat for me?" West said.
"This brat!" Soma spat.
Agni started shaking. West smiled and said. "Well?"
Agni brought his hand up. "Agni?" Soma said in shock. His hand came down only to be stopped by Sebastian.
Sebastian had a deer head on his head. "Deer?" Agni and Soma said.
"A deer man! What's going on here!" West yelled.
"Yes thank you for stating the obvious. I am a deer. I've come for the Prince." Sebastian said bowing.
"He's a foreign spy! Get him!"
"No, I'm simply one hell of a deer."
"Kill him! Do something or our agreement is over!" Agni's eyes widened. "Now."
Agni started to cry blood and fell on his knees. "Since I was reborn I have had only one god and master. I vowed to myself I would never swing my fist for anyone but him. I am guilty of betraying that vow. Please forgive me!" Agni said.
"Don't do it, Agni." Soma said.
Agni tried to hit Sebastian smashing things in the process. "Sounds like trouble." Lau said.
"It's time to go." I said.
I heard Ciel gasp as Lau picked him and put him on his shoulder. "Hey! We're drawing too much attention! Grab the kid and get out of there Sebastian!" Lau grabbed my hand and pulled me along.
"Yes sir." Was heard.

I was in the library reading when I heard something shatter. I got up and ran to see what happen. I made it just in time to get knocked into by Soma. "What happen now?" I said walking in to see a tea set smashed on the ground.
"Just look at the Haviland tea set I've ordered. So well suited for my master." Sebastian said. "Children. It seems that this one in particular will require personal disciplining." Sebastian said.
____________________________________________________
Soma was under the covers so Sebastian pulled The covers off causing him to fall to the floor. "You careless pig." Soma spat.
"I'm the careless one?" Sebastian said. "You're in England, at the estate of my master Lord Phantomhive. What you don't childly seem to recognize is as it stands your presence in this household amounts little more than a nuisance. You're helpless child who can't do anything without Agni at his side. And now your pillar of strength has left you."
"You're right." Soma said. "I've lost everything. Everyone who matter to me."
Sebastian chuckled. "Lost? You're more of a child than I thought. You haven't lost anything Don't you understand? You couldn't have lost what you didn't have to begin with. Status from your parents. A palace from your parents. A servant from your parents. Never in your life has anything ever really belong to you. Isn't that right."
"It's not."
"Some part of you must have known the truth about Agni. you were too much of a coward to face the truth."
"You're wrong! You're wrong! You're wrong!" Soma yelled. I stepped out of the shadows as Sebastian shut the door.
"You know I'm / he's not wrong." Sebastian and I said.
"You're finally seeing the truth Soma. And now you're trying to play the tragic hero." I said.
"What are hopelessly pathetic brat you are." Said Sebastian.
"They said they'd be with me forever."
"You actually believe that?" I said coldly. "They lied Soma. No one will stay with anyone forever. Not servants. Not parents. Not one person will stay with you forever. "
"Why on earth would they stay if they have nothing in return. That's something most three-year-olds would understand. It's time to face facts. nobody actually loved you."
"That's enough of that." Ciel said appearing at the doorway.
"Master?" Sebastian said.
"Who knows? I could've ended up the same way as him. If it hadn't been for that month."
Then I thought about what Ciel said and said. "As could I. If I hadn't have met my father."
"What are you talking about?"
"My family. They were killed, my home was burnt down, and I suffered humiliation worst then you can inflict on any animal. I was helpless. Just a child. But I came back to make the people who did all that to me suffer the same humiliation. if the are nuisance to those who killed my parents, then if I stay the family head, he'll eventually come after me.it's what I'm waiting for. Someday they will come to take my life as well."
"But why?" Soma said. "Why do it?"
"Because the alternative is grief and melancholy. If I standstill and I might as well be dead with them. But I'm alive and still standing. Moving on my own two feet. I'm going to die someday, and I'd rather do it without any regrets. I'm not going to pretend that I'm doing anything noble. This is no ground revenge. It's just a game. I'm waiting to see who wins. However far I fall. As long as there's so much as a thread left I will use it to climb. I'll take hold of it and refuse to give up. I am still human. I can do that much. But every person much must decide on his own whether to grab it."
"Lena?" Soma said.
"Let's just say one night I was running an errand for my mother when I was ten. And if I hadn't been gone when I was I'd be dead today. If my father was out of the country like my mother said I'd be in an orphanage or on the streets right now." I said coldly.
'And it will always be my fault she's dead.' I thought.
"Enough of this idle talk." Ciel said. "Sebastian, Lena we need to talk about West."
"Yes." Sebastian said.
"Of course Lord Phantomhive." I said.
I walked next to Ciel while Sebastian walked behind us. "Ciel! Lena! I am seventeen, but compared to you two I'm still only a child. I'm nothing more than a spoiled brat. I knew there was something that was bothering Agni, yet I didn't ask him about it. Now I want to know. I want to see them in person and ask why they left me! I'm begging you! Let me come!"
"Don't think so." Ciel said. "You're naïve idiot. I don't want to chaperone you. Of course it's not like I'm going to go to the trouble of lock you in here."
"Thank you!" Soma said hugging Ciel around his neck.
"Get off!" Ciel said.
Then he hugged me from behind. "I'm sorry Lena." Soma whispered in my ear.
I felt my cheeks heat up slightly. "F-for what?" I said as I got out of his hold.
"Losing your mother so suddenly like you did." He said.
"It's fine Soma. I've gotten over the grief."
"Oh and Ciel I'm sorry that I lost my temper and destroyed your tea set. Please forgive me." He looked at Sebastian and hid behind Ciel and I. "And you too. I am very sorry."
"It's alright. I find you quite entertaining." Sebastian said with a fake smile.

Sebastian had brought in another chair so I could sit at the table with Lau, Soma, and Ciel. "Here you are Miss." Sebastian said.
"Thank you Sebastian." I said with fake happiness.
"Of course Milady." Then he went to pour the tea.
"I didn't realize West was after a Royal Warrant. Though even with his obsession of status it does make sense."
"I was wondering exactly what is a Royal Warrant?" Soma said. Then Sebastian put a cup of tea down and he moved away from the demon slightly.
"It's an endorsement the bestowed by the Royal family on their favorite vendors." Lau said."Royal warrant holders are official purveyors to the crown."
"Yes indeed. And in one week a curry exhibition will be held as part of the festivities at the Crystal Palace. I am told it shall be quite the event." Sebastian said.
"Curry?" Soma said.
"Once more, from what I've heard much is that her Majesty widely known to be a lover of curry will be in attendance that day."
"That's nothing but a rumor." I said. "Ever since her husband, Prince Albert passed away Queen Victoria rarely make any public appearance." Ciel gave me a 'how would you know' look and I shrugged.
"What do the curry expedition and the recent crimes have to do with each other?" Soma asked.
"The connection is the curry. It's the specialty at West's coffee house. If he obtains a royal warrant for his curry sales of his sales are sure to increase dramatically. My guesses he was using Agni to target specific men. They were probably his rivals for the curry expedition. When he hang the man he included notes that were insulting to the English. That was done to make it seem as if the attacks were carried by a better Indian. Likely, mean it was Mina was West bait, she's probably the only reason Agni got involved. And I'm guessing he did it all for you."
Ciel put one of the notes towards Soma. "You worship Kali, A goddess who is depicted with her tongue sticking out. Agni worships you as his god along with Kali. The connection seems obvious. He clearly sign those papers as an apology to you." I said.
"He may indeed have left, but everything he does is still for you no one else." Sebastian said. "Agni lives only for you he is a fine Butler."
"Agni." Soma mumbled.
"My,my,my I Love a happy ending. It looks like everything is wrapped up no need to get more involved. I'm sure the yard can handle the rest." Lau said.
"Wait! No! There's Agni and Mina. What will happen to them?"
"We know the criminal underworld isn't involved with this. Which means this has nothing to do with us." Ciel said.
The note got crushed in Soma hand. "You're right. This is my problem I need to be strong and find a way to do it on my own."
"That's the right attitude." Ciel said stretching his arms in front of him in the process. "And it affords me the liberty to look over my own agenda."
"What are you planing Ciel?" I asked out of the blue.
"I was called to the city during winter for this idiotic case.I think I deserve to be compensated for the inconvenience. Don't you? Thanks to West notorious activities The competition this year will be considerably slimmer than it normally would be. So perhaps the Phantomhive company should enter it's own curry. We would only have to beat West. Then the Royal warrant would fall into our hands." Soma gasped. "I was already thinking about expanding into the food business anyway. Winning a royal warrant for our curry will generate some buzz. It would be an excellent way to get started."
"But you only have a week before the contest. Can you find an adequate curry chef and gather equipment in time?" Lau said.
"I don't think that will be necessary. Isn't that right Sebastian?"
"If I could make a good curry for my master then what kind of a butler would I be?"
'Human.' I thought.
"I shall secure the Royal Warrant."
"Impossible. There's no way you can win. They have Agni cooking for them and his hand was blessed by the goddess Kali.
"Yes I'm willing to admit that of me is a remarkable fighter, but this is a cooking competition. It's not combat." Ciel said.
"That is what I am saying. None and do you have even seen his true power yet. You don't know real curry."
"What is this real curry?" I asked.
"The key to curry is a mixture of spices , The possibilities are intimate. Choosing the right one is a very difficult task. It is like trying to find one true in a vast universe. But Agni can do it. he creates words out of nothing. His power is the same as the gods. That is why he's known as the 'Godly Right Hand of Kali.' Neverhave I tasted a bowl of curry that could even begin to compare to his."
"How interesting, Agni's true power is creating the curry of Kali." Lau said then he started to laugh.
"Oh what do you think?" Ciel asked Sebastian.
Sebastian smirked. "Fascinating indeed. Sounds like a challenge."

I'm sitting in the corner of Ciel's study reading my book I've been reading. "Ciel if you don't mind may I stay the night one more night? I'll be out of your hair in the morning." I asked Ciel as he began to write on some kind of document.
"You don't want to come to the Crystal Palace?" Came Ciel's response.
"I wouldn't want to be a bother, my Lord."
"You're not the one that's going to be a bother."
"Soma." I sighed. "Alright I'll come."
"I'm glad to hear that." Ciel said.
"I'll have to go buy a new dress." I murmured. "Where's Grell when I need him?"
Knock was heard on the door. "Pardon me sir. For today's tea we have gateau au chocolat." Said Sebastian as he came in holding two plates with chocolate cake.
"Lena and I need proper dress for a royal audience." Ciel said.
"You assume she won't come though you dress up anyway. How amazing the Queens guard dog is a well-trained little pup." Sebastian said. He walked over to me handing me one plate. I simply nodded a thanks. "I'll have Mey-rin help you go shopping for dress."
"Alright thank you Sebastian." I said as I took a small bite of the sweet chocolate cake.
"Have you been able to cook a curry better than Agni yet?" Ciel said.
"No. According to Prince Soma something is still lacking."
"Then get back to the kitchen and stop wasting your your time on making cakes. You have more important things to do."
"Yes, I understand my Lord."
"And anyway I am not really in the mood for chocolate right now. Drop it into the curry or something."
"Indeed my young master."
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
"Mey-rin...... your going......to kill....me." I said through short breaths.
"I'm sorry Ms.Lena, yes I am. I have to make sure your corset is tight because you barley have a figure. Please bear with it for a few more moments Miss."
"This is why......I hate corsets." I said through my gasps for air.
"The worst part is over. Yes it is."
"Thank Goodness." I said.
"Let me help you with your dress." I nodded in approval.
Once Mey-rin helped me get my dress on I looked in the mirror. (Pic of the dress is at top just say it stops at her knees with black tights.) "Now for my hair and makeup." I said.
"You should leave your hair down. It's so pretty."
"Thank you Mey-rin." I said. I ended up keeping my hair down but having a little curlier than normal and wearing a whitish/silver eyeshadow, mascara, blush, and a pale pink lipstick.
As I walk down the stairs I saw both Ciel and Soma waiting for me. The funny part was, they both had a faint blush on their face. "Ms. Lena you look beautiful." Sebastian said.
"Why thank you Sebastian."
"Shall we my Lord?"
"Y-Yes." Ciel said.
"Come on then." I said.
________________________________________________________________________
"It's beautiful." I mumbled to no one in particular. "My mom would have loved this." I caught Ciel's gaze and looked away.
"Well, I have some preparations to make. I must excuse myself." Sebastian said giving me a look saying 'protect Ciel.'
"Good luck Sebastian!"Finny and Bard yelled.
Just then Soma ran off. I grabbed Ciel's hand and whispered. "Come on!"
I followed Soma and hid behind a statue. "Lena what are you...." Ciel said with a slight blush on his cheeks.
"Sh." I said putting a finger to my lip.
He looked at me puzzled and I pointed toward Soma hugging a woman with black hair and black eyes. "I'm so glad. Agni got you back." He grabbed her shoulder. "you don't have to worry now. We can go back to the palace."
"Highness?" The woman said confused. Then her face turned in discussed. "how stupid are you? Go back with you don't make me laugh. Why would I ever want to go back there? I already went through so much trouble to miss it. People born into royalty can lounge around, never doing a day of work in their life but, since I was born into a lower caste I was forever doomed to be a servant. I don't want to spend my whole life trapped by the cast system."
"You went with him willingly?" Soma said in shock. "It was your decision?"
"Yes that's right. The lowly servant or a rich mans wife. Even the child knows which one is better. I spent my life taking care of you, you selfish brat. I'm done with it. I promised I would not tell you. But now here you are, you're old enough to know the truth." And with that she ran away.
"Soma." I said quietly. "No one deserves that." I had hoped that no one heard me.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked to see Ciel. "Relax." He said. I only nodded in response slightly blushing.

"Thank you all for waiting! Welcome to the Curry Festival! The best curry London can offer!" The announcer announced.
I looked at the judges to see that blonde hair, violet eyed menace, Lord Druitt. "This guy again?" I said under my breath.
"Attention seeker." Ciel muttered.
"And now let the cooking begin!" The announcer said only to have trumpets start to play.
"That sounds like....." Lau said.
"It can't be." I said.
Ciel and I turned at the same time and Ciel said. "Her majesty."
