The Prince of India

(Recap)

"But you helped..."

"Lena." I said.

"Come on now we have to get you ready for Ciel's birthday party." she said.

"Okay." I said a little confused. "Hey Lizzie."

"Yes?"

"Thank you." She smiled.

During Ciel's party father came to pick me up. I thanked the young Earl and the demon, said goodbye to Lizzie and the servants, who were sad to see me go, and went home with my father. The next week I was in a depressed state for come Christmas Eve would be my mother's birthday.

I've had to help Will with a few reaping jobs lately. Currently I was sitting on a roof watching the Scotland Yard look at the men's bodies. I watched as Ciel and Sebastian walked up and start to talk with the inspector. I saw Sebastian's gaze wander on to me. I smiled a fake smile and waved. Soon I got board and left only to see Ciel and Sebastian walking on the road beneath me. I jumped off the roof next to him. "Hello Lord Phantomhive." I said.

He jumped. "Lena why would you...."

"You should be careful. I've been on the roofs all day." I said tilting my head back.

"Let me guess you reaped those men."

"You should be more quiet when you speak of what I do. But yes I did."

"Did you see the killer?"

"Nope."

"You're useless sometimes."

"That's not very nice my Lord." I said.

Just than a man bumped into Ciel and acted hurt. "That hurt! You fiend! I think I may have cracked a rib! I might die from this!" An Indian man said.

"Hey what happened?" Another said.

"What a terrible injury. He should pay you back for it." Another said.

"Yes give us all your money brat." The first man said.

"What a cliché bunch of thugs we've seem to run into. Master, should I handle it?" Sebastian said.

"Yes but make it quick."

"Certainly. Miss Lena if you could ever be so kind to protect my young master if anyone passes me." Sebastian said pulling on his black glove.

"Of course Sebastian." I said.

The first man grabbed Ciel "Listen boy, you are outnumbered. Everybody within a mile from here hates you English dog." The first man said Sebastian flicked him in the forehead and I kick his stomach.

"Did he hurt you at all Master/Ciel." Sebastian and I said in unison.

"No he did not." Ciel said.

"Damn brat." The man spat pulling a knife. "You drag us here and then you toss us away like rubbish!"

"Your people have trampled your filth all over our homeland." a second man said.

"How about we show you the humiliation of being robbed?"

"Excuse me!" A teenager with plum/purple hair (whatever color you want to call Soma's hair) and amber eyes called. "I'm looking for this Indian woman. Perhaps you Gentleman have seen her around."

"Who the hell are you? Just stay out of this!"

"Oh my, are you having a duel?" The teen said. He looked at me and then Ciel and Sebastian. "He has a butler with him. Are you an English nobleman?"

"What if I say I am?" Ciel said.

"And I'll have no choice. I must side with my countrymen." he glanced at the man be hind him. The man had white hair and blue eyes. "Come Agni."

"Yes sir." Agni said.

"Defeat them."

"I shall use my holy weapon which I was given that I might serve my master." He said unwrapping his right hand.

I felt uneasy all of a sudden. He ran toward us and Sebastian grabbed Ciel while I jumped away myself but hit my head on a wall. "Stupid wall." I muttered.

He was so fast I could barely see his movements. I felt myself get grabbed from behind. "Are you okay Miss?"

I jumped out of the teens arms and ran toward Ciel. Sebastian shoved Ciel in my direction. "He's fast." I said. Ciel nodded. A man ran toward Ciel and I. I jumped and kicked him in the stomach.

"I have repeatedly hit many of you vital pressure points. A normal person's arms would have gone numb. Why can you still move?" Agni said.

"We weren't doing anything!" Ciel yelled.

"We were just walking down the street." I said.

"Are you nothing more but a reckless savage who will attack anyone who crosses your path?"

"What? Tell me men, did you attack them for no good reason?" The Indian men grunted. "Unfortunately, my countrymen are wrong this time. Agni we are on the Englishmen's side now."

"Right." All the Indian men ended up in a pile and Agni said. "It is done Prince Soma."

"Good." Prince Soma said.

Ciel cleared his throat. I noticed I was holding onto his shoulders in a protective manner. I let go and said. "I'm sorry." I felt heat rush to my cheeks. Wait why am I blushing?

I saw Soma pick up Ciel's hat. "Well, there's someone I need to find. So I'll be on my way. Goodbye." Soma said.

Ciel turned to me and his eyes widened. "Lena your bleeding."

I felt my head and when I brought my hand down I saw blood. "It's nothing. Probably happened when I hit the wall." I said.

"You really think that?" Ciel said. "I can help.

"The shops not that far." I said.

"Just except my help."

"Fine."

"And I'm on a new case. I want you to protect me during it."

"Why you have him." I said poking a finger at Sebastian.

"I feel the need for extra protection and a reaper should work."

I sent a glare at him. "Should work? Are you calling me weak?"

"N-no!"

"Lord Phantomhive I will lend you my services until your case is over." I said. "But I would have to go to my home and get some things."

"Okay."
______________________________________________________

"Well that was a waist of time." Ciel said.

"One of those Indian men might be the criminal. Let us wait for Sir Arthur to contact us." Sebastian said.

"Master." Bard said.

"Welcome home!" Finny said.

"Lena!" Mey-rin said happily.

"Hello!" I chirped.

"I'll never get a piece of this rate if I'm called to London for every silly little thing." Ciel said.

The door opened to revel Lau. "My lord, how good it is to see you." He said.

"What is he doing here?" Ciel said. "How many times have I told to send a note first."

"I haven't kept a tally."

"Shall I bring out some refreshment for our guest?" Sebastian said. "Perhaps some tea my lord?"

"Might as well."

"Perhaps chai rather than Earl Grey?"

"Fine. Whatever."

I looked at the door and Ciel followed my lead. "What..how?" Ciel stuttered.

"Oh them, I ran into them on the street corner. They said they wanted to speak with you."

"So you just come barging in here."

"Why certainly. We're acquaintances now. Surly you haven't forgotten me." Soma said.

"We met during a street brawl." Ciel said.

"And if you recall I save you."

I narrowed my eyes and Ciel said. "Saved me! Excuse you!"

"Back home if someone does you a favor you offer them hospitality. Is it the British practice to leave you savior out in the cold?"

Ciel slammed the door open to see the young prince on the bed. "And just who the hell are you anyway?"

"Me? I am a prince."

"A prince?" I said.

"This is the son of king of Bangal, would you please extend your warmest welcome to Prince Soma Asman Kadar." Agni said.

"Thank you for your hospitality kid."

"A real prince in our own home." Finny said.

"A prince?" Mey-rin said.

"I've never seen one up close."

"You three are talk about him like he's an animal." I stated. "I am going to retire for the night Lord Phantomhive."

"Okay goodnight Lena."

"Goodnight." I said. I went to my room and changed into a grey nightgown and let my silver locks fall. I got into bed and fell asleep.
______________________________________________________

"Good morning Miss Lena." a voice said.

"What? Who's there?" I said groggily. I opened my eyes to see Agni. "Oh, good morning Agni. Why are you in my room?"

"You and Lord Phantomhive will be showing us around town!" Soma said.

"Why should we do that?" I asked. "Even if I said yes Ciel would never go for it."

"We shall see." Soma said walking out of my room and into Ciel's.

"Now that I'm awake I might as well get ready." I muttered as I got out of my nice warm bed. I put on a grey dress, white tights, black boots, and black jacket. I put my hair in a high ponytail then put my mother's necklace on.

Just then I heard Ciel yell. "Why should I. And don't call me kid anymore I have a name. It's Ciel!"

"Alright Ciel, I order you and Lena to show me around. Come." Soma said.

"Pardon me Prince I'm terribly sorry. My masters day is full. I'm afraid there's an abundance of work and studying he must attend to. As for Miss Lena, she is here to protect my master from harm and must not leave my master."

"You want me to tutor while we are in London, I shall fill that role." Sebastian said. I sat by the window looking out of it.

"Bach's Chaconne in D minor? There's no way I can play something this complex." Ciel said.

"As your tutor I make the rules. Surely you have no objections to my teaching methods young master." Sebastian said.

"It's not that hard Ciel." I said.

"Then why don't you come do it!"

"Pleasure." I said as I took the violin an began to play the piece. Once I finished it I gave the violin back. "Now you do it Ciel."

He began playing. "Well done. Very good young master."

While he was playing Soma and Agni started praying. "What are they doing?" Ciel asked.

"If I had to guess I'd say they're praying. Quite an odd idol they have there isn't it?" Lau said.

"To me it merely looks like a statue of a woman carrying a severed head, wearing a necklace the severed heads, and dancing madly on top of the man's stomach." Sebastian said.

"She is Kali, a goddess of our Hindu faith." Agni said.

"A goddess of India?" Ciel said.

"Oh I know about Kali." I said. "Kali is the wife of Shiva and the goddess of power. Long ago, a demon rashly challenged her into a fight. Naturally, she was victorious. However, afterwards her destructive urges were not quelled, and she abandoned herself to distraction and carnage. But then to protect the earth, her husband Shiva through himself at her feet! Treading on her husband with her unclean feet brought Kali to her senses, and peace returned into the world. Kali is a great goddess who defeated the demon after a desperate battle. The statue shows her carrying the demons head an her husband under her feet."

"And there you have it." Ciel said.

"I've never heard of such power. I'll have to remember that if I ever return to India." Sebastian said.

"How did you know that?" Agni asked me.

"I read a lot." I said. "I know a lot about India and other places."

"What else do you know of India?" Soma asked.

(Ciel)

As Lena told Prince Soma what she knew about India I went to my bedroom to get ready for my fencing lesson. When I returned I noticed Soma bowing in front of Lena. "I want you to be my princess!" Soma said.

A faint blush spread across Lena's face. My chest felt like it tightened. and I felt angered all of a sudden. Am I? No I can't be...jealous. "Soma." Lena said. "I'm sorry but we just met. Plus if I was to become your wife I would have to leave England and my father behind. But I will be happy to call you my friend." I felt slightly better at this.

"Of course. But I will not give up just yet Miss Lena." Soma said.

"Of course Prince Soma." She said. I cleared my throat. Lena spun around and the blush on her pale cheeks darkened. "Oh, C-Ciel." she stuttered.

"It's time for your next lesson young master." Sebastian said.

"All right." I said.

"Ciel may I use your library please." Lena said suddenly.

I nodded. "Yes you may." I said and Lena scurried off.

______________________________________________________

"Honestly, when are you going to be done with all this? What are you even doing. You look like an idiot." Soma complained.

"Be quiet! You're distracting me!" I said as I fenced with Sebastian.

"Are all the English this short-tempered?"

"You're never going to shut up are you!" I yelled. "If you need attention so badly why not give fencing a try?" I threw the fencing sword his way an he caught it.

"Haha and if you and Miss Lena will go out on the town with me." Soma said with a smirk.

I pointed my sword at him. "If you can beat me."

"Good luck to you my prince." Agni said.

"Now let the fight begin." Sebastian said.

Soma launched at me and said "You're mine now!" Then he hit my foot. "Hey what the...."

I smirked. "A strike like that will accomplish nothing for you." I launched toward him.

"Hey that's not fair! I don't know the rules like you do!"

"Hey a fight is a fight. It's not my fault if you don't know."

"Highness look out!" Agni yelled when I lunged. Something blocked my sword and hit my arm. Pain suddenly spread up and down my arm as I fell to the floor. "Sir! I am sorry. When I saw my prince losing my reflexes took over. Forgive me."

"Hahahaha. You protected your master well Agni. So that is it kid. Agni is my servant an extension of myself. Which means I win." Soma said.

"What! That's no fair!" I yelled.

"Well, well Sebastian, it looks as if you must avenge your master." Lau said throwing a sword at him. "Here you go."

"For goodness sake. Master why ever did you have to provoke the bratty little prince?" Sebastian said. I scoffed. "However, as the Phantomhive butler, I cannot ideally by when someone harms my master. That would be an absolute disgrace to my position. And more importantly, where full ten minutes behind schedule now."

"The time. That's what you care about?" I muttered.

"I am curious. Very well, I will allow you to duel. Agni, in the name of Kali, make sure you do not lose." Soma said.

I stood up. "Sebastian, I order you: shut the brats mouth now!' I yelled.

Agni said something that I assume meant 'yes master' and Sebastian said. "As you wish, young master."

(To lazy to write the fight)

In the end the swords broke and it ended in a draw. "How lovely the swords broke." Sebastian said.

"That means it's a draw doesn't it?" Lau said.

"That servant of yours is indeed impressive Ciel." Soma said.

'How is it a draw? He was fighting Sebastian.' I thought.

"Agni is the best warrior in my palace. I've never seen anyone fight him on equal terms before."

'He was a match for a demon. '

"What happened?" I asked him. "Agni is no ordinary human is he? Don't tell me he's another." I remembered Grell Sutcliff. Then an image of Lena flashed in my mind.

"No my lord. He is deadly but human enough."

"I see... But with that much power."

"He could easily hang men upside down with no effort at all." Sebastian said.

I walked into the library to see Lena with a book in her lap. There was two teacups and a tea pot in front of her on the coffee table. One cup had tea in it. "Good book?" I asked.

She looked up. "Oh yes it's a great book." She said a faint blush appearing on her face. "Would you like some tea?"

"Yes please." I said as I sat in the chair across from her. She poured tea into the second teacup and handed it to me. I took a sip. "What is this?"

"It's Rosemary tea. Do you like it?"

"Yes. Who made it?"

"I did. I hope you don't mind I brought it from home. It calms me down."

"Not at all." I said. I saw her face drop. "What's wrong?"

She looked at me. "I'm just thinking....about...earlier."

"Do you want to talk about it." She looked at her hands. "Lena, do you want to talk about it?"

She nodded. "But I do not want to bore you with my problems."

"Not at all. Go ahead."

(Lena)

I lifted my head and looked into his eyes...well eye. I saw compassion in his eyes. I nodded. "When he asked me to be his princess all I could think about is leaving father. I don't want to leave him...alone. I don't want to leave the land I where my mother was killed."

"Tell me something Lena."

"Yes?"

"When ever you get hurt why do you look so worried."

"Because I don't actually know what will happen when I die. Will said there no telling because there's never been a half human half reaper before. I could die earlier than normal humans or I could live for a long time. It worries me Ciel."

"I see. Then why do you put yourself in danger by helping me?" Ciel asked.

"I'm always willing to help a friend Ciel." I said with a small smile. "Even if they don't consider me one."

He was about to say something when there was a knock on the door. "Enter." Ciel said.

Sebastian walked in and said. "Dinner is ready young master. Did I interrupt something?" His normal creepy smirk formed on his lips.

"No!" Ciel and I said.

(Ciel)

Lau, Soma, Lena, and I sat at the table. "How long will you be staying here exactly?" I asked.

"We'll leave when our business is done." Soma said.

"That's right weren't you looking for someone?" Lau said.

"And how long are you intending to stay here?"

"Now my lord play nice."

"I'm looking for a women." Soma said pulling out a piece of paper. "Her name is Mina. She was a servant at my palace."

"Will Sebastian, does that give you enough to find her?"

"Even I can't do much with that. But I'll try."

"So, tell me what is this Mina doing inf England?"

"I have known Mina my entire life. She was basically my nurse maid. The only person whoever really took care of me. My mother and father barely paid attention to me. It was a lonely life but I had Mina. she was always there for me. Then one day a British nobleman who had his eye on her kidnapped her and took her to England with him." Soma said.

"In other words, you came here to get this women and bring her back to India with you."

"Yes. I'll get her back and bring her home with me, no matter what!"

"Seems like a lot of fuss over a servant."

He stood up and banged (right tense?) the table causing Lena to jump. "No it isn't." he grabbed my shoulders. "You cannot comprehend my despair at being separated from her! You do not understand!"

"Stop being so childish." Lena said standing up and heading toward the door. "If you'll excuse you Lord Phantomhive."

"I don't understand. Something as trivial as that causes you great despair. I don't understand it, and I don't care to." I slapped his hand off and walked to the door. "There are some things you can never get back, no matter how hard you struggle." then I opened the door. "But maybe you're still to young to understand that Prince Soma." Then I left.

I heard a soft sobbing from down the hall. As I walked down the hall a figure came into sight sitting on the floor crying into her knees. "Mom why did you leave?" I heard the crying reaper.

"Lena." I said quietly. Her head shot up and her hair quickly covered her face.

"I'm sorry Lord P-Phantomhive."

"For what?"

"Showing weakness."

"You should go rest. You look exhausted." She nodded and started toward her room but my body moved on its own and grabbed her wrist.

(Lena)

As I got up I made sure Ciel didn't see my tear stained cheeks. I started walking away when Ciel grabbed my wrist. I let a gasp of surprise escape my mouth. "C-Ciel."

"Please stop crying Lena. It doesn't suit you." Ciel said wiping a tear from my face. I felt the heat rush to my cheeks and he smirked. "The criminal will make his move soon then I'll need your protection."

"Yes, Lord Phantomhive." I said and he let go. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

"Sweet dreams." I said as I walked in to my room. I got on the bed and hugged my knees. "Why can he make me blush so easily?" I mumbled. "Mom what's wrong with me?"
