Chapter 7

"I wish you wouldn't bribe me with pizza." Lovino complained, chomping on another slice.

"It works every time though." Feliciano shrugged. "You'd expect that you would learn, already."

"I hate you so much."

"What's wrong?" He asked unfazed by the statement, completely batting it away with the question. Lovino just sighed and sat back. He shook his head again.

~

"Woah, I didn't know you had a bother!" Gilbert exclaimed.

"Yeah but I don't like to talk about him." Matthew frowned.

"Why?" Gilbert tilted his head curiously.

"Think of the most annoying thing you can't possibly encounter and then double that." Matthew thought that as a subtle joke. He curiously watched Gilbert thinking to himself for a minute.

"That sounds horrible!" Gilbert finally exclaimed with a pained look on his face.

"It's not that bad but sometimes I want to give him a nice slap in the face."

"Sounds harsh."

"Anything to shut him up." Matthew shrugged. The other simply laughed.

"Hey guys!" Eliza greeted as she sat next Matthew.

"Where have you been?" Gilbert raised a brow in question.

"Getting information."

"Sounds fun." He rolled his eyes.

"It's better than sitting around waiting for a mission."

"Hello~!" Feliciano greeted as he walked into the room. "I have a mission for you."

"Speak of the devil..." Eliza mumbled with a sigh. They all looked to Feliciano.

"Since it's great having new recruits, it means that you can still prove yourselves. So, this is a life or death situation. You have to help break a recruit out of jail."

"What-

"I'm not done, you have to break them out and take them to a certain location given in this file." Feliciano waved the file to bring their attention to it. "I'll meet you there." He placed the file in front of them on the table. "Got that?"

"Yes sir!" They all answered. They all eyed the file as he left.

~

"So you think there might be a another murder by tomorrow?"

"Yes."

"You dimwit!" Arthur whacked Alfred in the back of the head.

"What did I do?!" Alfred whined, rubbing the spot.

"What makes you so sure that another murder will happen tomorrow?"

"I've been studying their patterns and it just seems likely."

"You little-"

"Arthur could you for once please listen to Alfred." Antonio butted in.

"Yeah, you're not my damn mom, geez." Alfred added.

Antonio rolled his eyes, "Anyway, I need you for something."

"And what could that be?" Arthur raised a thick brow in question.

"We have a new guy and I want you to show him around."

"Who?"

"His name is Francis."

"Hello~!" A blonde man cheerfully greeted, sliding out from behind Antonio.

"That's him?"

"Yes."

"Bloody h-"

"Just shutup and show him around."

"Why can't you, captain?" Alfred asked.

"Because I actually work instead of yelling at people." Antonio ended the conversation there and walked off.

With a sigh Arthur spoke to Francis, "Well, come along." He led the way.

~

"I hate doing this."

"I do too but we have to anyway." They both arrived to the already closed restaurant. Sighing, Lovino entered.

"We're closed!" The man at the counter turned around. When he realized who had come in, he froze.

"Are you sure?" Lovino asked with a fake pout.

"Wait, now that I think about it-no, we're not closed."

"Good." Both of the brothers walked closer. It was Lovino who continued to talk. It was his turn this time, after all. "Now I have a few questions for you."

"Of course! Have a seat-Is there anything you might want?"

"No thank you." Feliciano answered with a polite smile. "have a seat." He gestured to the booth. The man did as told.

~

"This is kind of an odd job, don't you think?"

"It's best not to think about it."

"Sometimes I wonder what goes on in their heads."

"That's actually is something to wonder." They all went quiet for a bit.

"Okay, so how are we going to do this?" Eliza spoke up. The other two just shrugged. "Great start." She frowned.

"Well, according to this map he gave us in the file, the best form of entry is the roof." Matthew pointed down at the paper in-between them. "It looks like they want us to slowly make our way down since we have to break this person out on the bottom floor."

"Maybe we could split." Gilbert suggested. "If we all come from different directions then we'll thin the guards out."

"We should let the inmates out while we're at it." Eliza added. "Which one of us knows most about tech?"

"I do." Matthew raised his hand a little.

"Alright, Matthew will go to the control room in the middle of the building. Gilbert, you go on the left. I'll go on the right."

~

"And this is the break room, any questions?"

"Nope."

"Good." Arthur walked off, leaving Francis to figure out where to go. Francis debated himself quite a bit whether he should follow the Brit or go to Antonio. It tore him a part just a tad since he wanted to mess with Arthur. Arthur was busy though.

He ended up going to Antonio to ask what what he should do. He knocked on the door and heard a slightly muffled 'come in'.

"Francis!" Antonio grinned.

"What should I do now?"

"Arthur already finished?" His thin brows raised in surprisd. "Well, you could sit here and chat with me."

"Alright."

"You know, I was kind of surprised when you told me you wanted to work here."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I always thought you wanted to something completely different."

"I did but this job seems way more fun than working at some kind of bar."

"Good choice because it is."

"So what should I do first?"

"Well, I'll have to show you to your desk and I guess I'll put you on the case with Alfred and Arthur and such."

"What is that case even about?"

"The Mafia." Antonio sighed, leaning into his chair. "To put it shortly, we're trying to catch them, but it's hard when you don't even know what they look like."

"Seems like a terrible case."

"We haven't had that much information, so yeah, it's bad." Antonio let out another sigh, "I'm putting you on to keep an eye on the other two because I'm pretty sure one is going to kill the other."

"Alright." They both chatted for a bit longer. Until Antonio showed Francis his desk and left to go do his work.

~

"So are you going to have the money or not? If not, you do know what the penalty is, right?"

"Of course! I-I just need a bit more time." The man stuttered out.

"That's what you said last time!" Feliciano whined. "I'm starting to think you're hiding something from us." He studied at the man intently. Trying to figure out if he was lying or not.
Lovino, next to him was growing more irritated by the second, but he was trying his hardest to stay patient.

After a moment, Feliciano spoke up again. "You're lying."

"What!?"

After a sigh, Lovino looked to his brother for confirmation. He got a nod and they both stood up.

"Will you follow us for a moment?"

"Um...o-of course." The man stuttered as he stood.
