Xavier's POV (too bad, it's not Mallory)
"Xavier! Border Patrol has caught a scent, about four hours old by the west border!"
"Go! Don't just stand there! We have to find her!" These people....I swear I'm going insane.
Hurry up. My wolf speaks in my brain. I cut off the link immediately, he's not helping.
What if she left because she was scared of me. She has no reason to think that way.
You almost killed her.
No reason at all. Why else would she have left? I rack my brain for any information she told me about her past. I can't recall anything....wait! Didn't the border patrol say something about....destruction? Or...attacks?
"BOBBY!"
"Yes sir?"
"Tell me everything Mallory said when you ran into her on the border the first time."
"Yes sir. So what happened was..."

(This is directly from chapter 1 because I'm too lazy to write similar stuff)
Mallory POV
"Rouges! Kill them!" I hear a deep voice yell. I desperately look around, waiting. I hope I can at least get Cole out alive.
I shift into human form so I can talk, and put on the shirt and shorts Cole had in his hand. "Please!" I yell out. "Give me a chance to explain! Please!" I sound so desperate. But I am.
"You have one minute." A large grey wolf says, appearing from the bushes and shifting as well. I can tell from the power radiating off him he's the beta.
"Thank you so much! I'm Mallory Smith, and this is my younger brother Cole. We're from the Night Shade Pack. Our pack was attacked by a group of rouges last night. They killed my family...and most of the pack. Cole and I have been running for hours. Please, can we just stay the night? We'll leave tomorrow, I swear!"

"Her pack was attacked...Didn't we attack a pack not too long ago?"
"Yes sir, the Night Blade pack, not Mallory's pack sir. The Night Shade pack was attacked by rouges."
"Good, I was afraid we...I did that to her family. Now, let's go find your Luna."

Mallory's POV (you're welcome)
"Alpha Xavier." My eyes practically fall out of their sockets. (eww I know sorry)
"Are you sure? Like completely sure?" Please, please don't make it be him.
"Yeah, I found you near his border."
"Ahh, well you see...he's kind of the one I'm running away from."
"I should have known you wouldn't keep that promise. Ladies and gentleman, the false hope monster struck again!" He pretends to fall backwards, and faint.
"Okay, okay. No need for a concussion. I'll... I'll take you to him."
"Awesome! Let's go! I'm soooooooooo excited!" He giggles like a school girl and I laugh.
"There she is! Mallory! This is Xavier's border patrol! Don't move!"
Well, crapes.
