Chapter 17

Marie's POV

I felt my eyes flutter for a moment before I opened them. Light was coming through the cracks of the curtains. My vision was blurry, but I can make out a few outlines of people and the sound of someone whimpering. I tried to move, but my arms and legs were tied together as I kneeled on the floor.

When I felt this sensation, adrenaline kicked into my veins. I started to struggle against the ropes, but they were a little tight. My vision started to become clear and I saw the entire Floyd family there. All their faces held different expressions. Mark had a stone face, not a single emotion showing in his eyes. Karen had the face of bravery and worry. Lilith was bawling and whimpering, obviously scared of what's happening. Sarah's almost like Mark, but with pain in her eyes. Finally, Toby was looking at me in the eye. And his eyes held only these simple emotions: heartbreak, anger, and regret.

"I knew we shouldn't had trusted you," he hissed, eyes sparkling with tears, "Ever since you came into our lives, you brought nothing but misery."

"Tobias, please," Karen pleaded, trying her hardest to try to hide the shared emotion, "It wasn't her fault. Just stay calm and-"

"No! I won't stay calm! If it wasn't for her, we would've never been in a situation like this! We wouldn't be hostages and I wouldn't had been attacked! IT'S ALL HER FAULT!"

I felt my chest ache at his words. My head hung in sadness and I felt tears fall down my cheeks. Shut up, I thought, small hints of anger flowing in my blood, Shut up; shut up; SHUT UP!

I felt another headache come, but this pain wasn't like the other ones. I felt something from within claw its way to the surface. It wasn't until I let out a scream when I noticed the sharp pain in my brain. I slammed my head into the ground to compensate and curled into a ball, still screaming. "Help me!" I cried out, looking up with tears in my eyes, "Please, for the love of God, HELP ME!"

They stared at me and Lilith let out a scream of fear, scooting closer to Karen. I took heavy breaths and looked into the mirror next to me. My eyes widened when I saw the terror as my reflection and I screamed.

Kristi's POV

I heard Marie scream out, making me look at Jeff and Ticci-Toby nervously. "Should we go and check on them now?" I asked, scratching the back of my neck.

Jeff looked at Ticci-Toby and shrugged. "You go in first," he suggested, "If we all go in, it might make her permanently forget us from shock. If she doesn't get her memories from you, then send one of us in instead."

Ticci-Toby nodded in agreement. "Maybe she'll remember you because you met her recently," he suggested, "It seems better."

I nodded and shook the nerves off of me, going into the living room where they were. The family looked shocked and Marie looked-

"Holy crap!" I accidentally said out loud, seeing Marie look completely different, "I didn't think you would have another form like your father!"

Marie looked up at me with black, fearful eyes, tears falling from them. Her pale skin was bright and a red mark was on her forehead. Her black hair was now at her shoulders and it looked amateur. The mother from the other side looked at me and pleaded, "Please, whatever you're doing, please stop. You know you're not like this deep dow-"

"Shut it, Princess," I interrupted, looking at Marie, "I'm not talking to you. I'm talking to my daughter."

Marie looked at me in shock and glared. "What do you mean you're my mother?" she said in disbelief, "Who are you? What's going on? How did I turn into this monster?"

I smiled softly at her and kneeled down to her height, petting her hair motherly. Instantly, she flinched and pulled her head away from my touch. "Marie, it is your mommy. I gave birth to you on March 19th, 2000. I was there when you turned five. And it was then when I so selfishly turned you in to the orphanage. It was until recently that I saw you again. I know you have some sort of memory of me in your head. Just try and remember, baby."

Marie stared at me in the eyes before spitting in my face. I moved back in disgust and wiped where she spit on me, frowning at her. "You're not my mother," she snapped, "If I ever knew my mom, she wouldn't do this!"

You didn't know she would stab you, too, I thought, sighing irritably and going back to the kitchen. I frowned at Jeff and said angrily, "She fucking spat on my face! Go in there and make her remember who she is!"

Jeff rolled his eyes and stood up from the chair he was sitting on, popping his neck. "I guess it's showtime for me," he mumbled before going to the living room.

Jeff the Killer's POV

The moment I stepped out of the kitchen and into the living room, there were screams of surprise, crying, and gasps. I wonder why. I noticed Marie was in her true form, which was actually not surprising. I bent down to Marie's level and smiled even more, greeting, "Long time no see, Marie. Haven't seen ya since your mother nearly killed you!"

She glared at me and groaned, "Not you, too, with thinking I know you. Try your best, ugly face! That bitch wasn't very convincing."

I felt my eyebrow twitch in annoyance, holding the tip of my knife to her chin. "Bitch, I'm fucking fabulous as fuck," I snapped, looking at her in the eye, "Maybe if you remember me, then you wouldn't be in this situation and gotten these people in trouble. Now, try and remember me and the rest of the family we have back at home."

She glared at me even harder and ended up putting her chin on blade enough to draw blood. I pulled it away and she smirked with triumph, mocking, "What's wrong, fugly? Are you not manly enough to hurt a girl?"

I tried to frown and stood up, growling. I ended up kicking her lightly to make her fall. She let out a small groan and I stomped to the kitchen, yelling, "What in fuck's name is wrong with her memory? Did you knock her head THAT badly?"

Kristi held her hands up in defense and retorted, "I only gave her a drug and stabbed her! I didn't hit her head! She must've lost her memory from blood loss from the head or something! I'm not a damn doctor!"

I looked at Toby and said, "You're up. You better work your magic and get her memory or I'll beat it in her!"

Toby rolled his eyes and nodded, ticking while going to the door. "By the way," he said, turning around, "Did you guys even say your names to her?"

I stood there for a moment and realized my mistake. "Well, shit," Kristi and I said together, "My bad."

Toby groaned in annoyance and left the kitchen.

Ticci-Toby's POV

I went to the living room and saw Marie in her true form, laying calmly on the ground. I ticked and sat on the ground, picking her up to be sitting up. She glared at me and asked, "Let me guess: you know me and you're going to make me remember you?"

I scratched the back of my neck nervously and ticked more. "More or less," I replied, smiling, "My name is Ticci-Toby, by the way, but you just called me Toby like everyone else."

She looked at me in surprise and blinked, her jaw dropping. "You're the one who popped up in my dream and vision," she said suddenly, causing me to blush.

She somewhat remembers me, I thought happily, smiling goofily. I looked over at the family and noticed them too shocked to say anything. Only one glared at me angrily and it was the boy with two colored eyes. "Whatever you're going to do to Marie, you better not!" he snapped, making me tick.

"Weren't you just screaming how it was her fault you ended up like this?" I questioned, smirking at his guilty face, "I can tell you like Marie. I mean, who wouldn't? When she was at my house, she was the second nicest person there. The only reason she was second was because of one of our caretakers, Splendorman, who makes such great food. Plus, Marie is absolutely funny and pretty when she's just hanging out with our youngest friend, Sally. She's also very different when-"

Suddenly, Marie let out a groan of pain, making me turn to her. I ticked and saw her scratch at her rope. Her long nails cut them with ease and she didn't even try to attack me. She gripped her head in pain and started crying, the pain most likely unbearable. I reached out, ignoring the family's protest, and hugged Marie, shushing calmly, "Don't worry, Marie. I've got you."

She shook until she suddenly stopped. Her skin slowly started to darken and her hair turned back to the original brown. She looked up with puffy brown eyes and whispered almost inaudibly, "T-Toby?"

*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*
Oooooooooooo, I did it! I made it longer than usual! I achieved everything! I can just imagine everything I wrote and I don't know why I have a sudden feeling in me. I think it's pride for my work...?
... Nah, it's not. Lol.
