"Sorry, but the holiday is over, brother dear. Back to Baker Street, Sherlock Holmes."
-Mycroft Holmes
Okay it's been months since I've updated because I've been on summer holiday. I've been traveling a bunch (it's been fantastic) but I think it's time for another chapter, don't you? This continues directly after the events of the last chapter, sorry for being horrible at updating regularly.
Boii I wrote that a/n MONTHS ago lol I'm a deadbeat parent to you readers, sorry m'dudes but happy thanksgiving in case I don't update again before then. Gobble gobble freedom
After training with Kylo for a while longer, he had decided to stop for the day. His arms shone with sweat as the reached for the helmet which he had discarded. He ran a large hand through his damp hair before putting the mask on. You licked your lips as you gazed at him, but then quickly tried to distract yourself from his appearance.
He may have the same body as Ben did, but I can't think of them as the same person. Kylo is completely different... right?
As you were thinking, Kylo met your gaze.
"You handled things well, considering that it was your first time."
"W-what?" Your face turned bright pink and your eyes shot wide open. Your mind was still full of the lewd thoughts that you'd had only moments ago.
The mask made it sound like a growl, but you could tell that Kylo was chuckling lightly. It was almost comforting.
"The whip. It's your first time training with it."
"Oh... I thought..." you trailed off.
"I know," Kylo said simply, turning away and using the force to lift slashed training dummies that you'd used off of the main floor and into the corner.
You stood silently for a while, just thinking about how things had been with Ben, wondering if he still had the same feelings. You didn't even bother putting mental blocks up, you wanted him to hear. You needed answers.
"I'm not Ben," Kylo stated simply.
"If you had the option... would you return to being Ben?" You asked, remembering that Anakin had faith in his ability to return to the light side.
He froze. Anger seethed out of him immediately. You stood there for what felt like hours, nervously waiting. It had been agonizing, the silent minutes that passed.
The first one to move was Kylo. His hand twitched, as he looked like he meant to reach for his lightsaber, but held himself back. You flinched away at his movement, quickly backing up into the wall, in case he drew his weapon.
Kylo turned to face you, his hand slowly reaching into his clothing and pulling out the lightsaber. He held it out and dropped it to the floor before cautiously walking towards you.
"(Y/n)... I wouldn't ever hurt you... I..."
You stared at his mask, still fearful that he might attack. You'd heard how he was when he got upset. Seeing your fear, he took his mask back off and threw it to the side as well. Cautiously, he pulled you into a hug.
"Please stop asking about Ben... at least for now..." Kylo begged.
You carefully wrapped your arms around him, and pulled him even closer to you. You held your face against his chest and felt tears streaming down your cheeks.
"I just want you to be happy," you whispered.
Kylo lifted your face to his and he wiped the tears away.
"Please, you're making this more difficult," Kylo muttered in annoyance. "How am I supposed to train you to be evil if you keep making me fall for you?"
You let out a laugh. "You can't train me to be evil when I was never truly good, I had too many emotions, and I still do," you sniffled. "Remember the time that you got punished for something that a younger padawan did, and while you were in solitary punishment I punched the kid in the face and tried to break you out?"
"How could I forget? You kicked the door down, ran into the room and shouted, 'I'm liberating you from your wrongful punishment!'" Kylo let out a laugh. "How old were we, eleven and fourteen?"
"Yeah, I think so," there were even more tears streaming down your face now, but you were happier.
Kylo ran a hand through your hair tentatively.
"You should head back to my quarters, I'll be there as soon as I finish cleaning this up and reporting to Snoke. I made sure to have something put up there to make it feel more like a home and less like a cell, I know how dull it is. I had some potted flowers placed throughout the rooms, from all different planets. I remembered how when you were younger you always wanted to travel, and see what every planet was like."
You nodded, pulled out of his arms, kissed him on the cheek, and then walked out of the room.
*Kylo's P.O.V.*
I could feel tears fighting to spill from my eyes but I wouldn't allow it. That was the most emotion I had shown in ten years, and all I can do is pray that the Supreme Leader hadn't sensed it.
I could still feel the scars and soreness along my back and legs from the last time he had felt that I was showing too much emotion.
He had tortured me for a full day, trying to get me to train (Y/n) in the ways of the dark side. Finally he lashed out in so much anger that he broke the bones in my legs, and said that if I didn't train her, he would make me watch as he tortured her in worse ways than he'd done to me, and then he would end her life, but only after she begged for it. Then he tossed me from the room. I had to set the bones the best I could (of course using a bit of force), and make my way up to my quarters. That was when I had proceeded to walk in on (Y/n) in the bath.
I heard my footsteps echoing off of the empty, sterile, never ending maze of walls as I made my way to where I knew Snoke would be waiting.
After I pushed open the doors and strode in, the doors slammed shut behind me.
I thought that after the first time, you would've learned your lesson; you can't grow attached to (Y/N). She is nothing but a wench. Seeing as your having trouble understanding, it seems as though we'll have to go over this again.
Excruciating pain followed the Supreme Leader's words.
