Episode 1
"Don't worry, your child will be safe here."
You look up at your parents, who were hurriedly talking in hushed voices to a man with a robotic hand and long, brown cloak. Tears silently streamed down your face, and puffy, red eyes signified that you'd been crying like this for quite some time. At eight years old, you didn't understand why your parents had to leave you here with people you'd never met.
You clutched onto your small bag of belongings tightly, as the man in the cloak turned to look at you. His hard eyes softened upon meeting your distraught gaze. He said something to your parents, and they hurried away, down the long stairway that led up to the mountain sanctuary. The man walked over to you, kneeling in front of you. He held out his good hand and you put your hand in his, as he avoided eye contact for a moment, before he looked up to meet your gaze.
You peered into his steely blue eyes for a moment, noticing the sympathy they held, before closing your own (e/c) eyes. You searched through what thoughts he allowed you to, obviously having been briefed about your powers by your parents. You weren't strong enough to get much, other than his name, a couple important memories from his past, and that he had the intention to train you. You were exhausted just by doing this much, and your small hand retreated back under your favorite silver cloak to once again grip the handle of your bag, as you made eye contact once more.
"(Y/n), I know that you're not happy that your parents left you here, but I truly hope that you will like it here eventually. My name is-"
"Luke Skywalker. Son of Anakin Skywalker, who was better known as Darth Vader. Yoda trained you, and you fought the Empire to bring peace to the Galaxy. My parents obviously described my powers to you, which is why you allowed me to touch your hand, so I could read your mind, or what you'd let me read, so that I'd feel more comfortable around you. I'll accept whatever training you can give me, as I know that I still have much to learn of my powers." You sniffed, looking back down at your feet, ashamed of the tears that were still streaming down your face. You were far more intelligent than other kids your age, because none of the other kids felt comfortable playing around you (due to you having the habit of reading their minds), so all you did was read.
Because you were looking down, you couldn't see the pleased expression on Luke's face. Your parents had told him that you were strong with the force, even without being trained, but you'd done better than he could've hoped.
"I know you think that you're alone, that your power isolates you from other people, but there are many children here that are your age who are force sensitive, just like you. I can tell that you have a kind heart, so you'll make many friends here. Although your power to read minds is quite rare, we do have one other student who has similar powers and strength to you. After a good night's rest, would you like to meet him?" You could tell that he was trying to word things so that they'd be easy to understand for a child, and you appreciated his attempt to help you. You nodded silently, still not looking up.
He went to stand back up, but before he could, you quickly reached out and tugged on his cloak.
"What is it, (y/n)?"
You silently grabbed his robotic hand and clenched tightly, not wanting to let go. With an understanding expression, he wrapped his metal fingers around your small, delicate hand, and stood up fully, leading you inside the monastery looking building.

After leading you through numerous stone corridors and up winding staircases, he brought you to a hall lined with identical wooden doors, presumably rooms for other children like yourself.
Luke held out his hand to one of the doors next to you and flicked his wrist to the left. To your amazement, the door opened, following his hand. A grin spread across your young face, in awe at what you'd just seen. If you'd been holding his normal hand, you would've felt the kind, happiness that your joy had made Luke feel. He wanted nothing more than to make all of the learning padawan content here.
The mossy stone of the corridors was nothing what the inside of the room looked like. Letting go of Master Luke's hand for the first time, you ran into the large room, flopping down on the bed. The floor was smooth, pale, grey stone, and the walls curved up to meet above the center of the room, creating a dome shape. The bed was a circle, set into the ground in the center of the room. There were two white pillows and a thick, olive green blanket laying on the round mattress. There were two doors, each on opposite sides of the room. They curved with the wall, and when you ran up to open each, you found that the door on the right led to a small closest, while the door on the left led to a bathroom, with a shower, toilet and sink.
The room was far bigger than the hut you'd used to live in, so as an eight year old, you felt that you were in a mansion. Your favorite thing about the room, however, was that just above the bed there was a circular skylight, with an unblocked view of the stars.
When you looked up to the door that led to the hallway to thank Master Luke for letting you stay in such a nice room, you found that he'd vanished. Cautiously, you set your bag down in the closet before closing the door that led to the hall. You burrowed under the blanket on your bed, a small sigh escaping your lips, before you drifted off to sleep, unaware of the boy in the room next door, lying awake, too upset to sleep.

Achievement Unlocked: Complete First Chapter
I'm not sure if this will be received well, or if anyone will read it, but I thought I'd try my hand at an x reader, which is something I've never done before. I figured that I'll start with a Kylo Ren one, as he's pretty hot and I've never written in the Star Wars universe before. You are going to meet Ben in the next chapter, but idk if it'll be wanted or not yet, so vote or comment if you want the next chapter ahaha
