Belle's feelings for Nash have never left but she's tried for years to cover up and hide the feelings. Don't get her wrong she still loves Matt with all her heart, she will always just have a special place in her heart for Nash. He just confessed his love for Belle and it opened up a special place in her heart were she was storing that love for Nash.
Nash on the other hand, has never covered up his feelings for Belle. He thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world, Nash wished she was his, he wanted Belle so bad his heart ached. Nash wanted to love Belle, to hold her, to kiss her, he wanted to be her support beam, a shoulder to cry on, a lover. Nash knew he couldn't have Belle, but he wanted her so badly, he had stayed away for all those years to control his feelings for Belle.
Belle tries to brush off her feelings and be happy with Matt, after all she's having her fourth (and hopefully last) child with him. She already had three kids at 26, it was something even she found hard to fathom. She had a baby when she, was essentially a baby herself.
Belle doesn't regret having a Cyrus, in fact it was the opposite, she just wishes she would've waited until she was married. That was the funny thing, at 16 she had to grow up for her child and she thought she was ready. In Fact if you talk to 17 year old Mirabelle Collins she still could've swore she would marry Taylor Caniff. Granted she was engaged at the tender age of 17, she laughed to herself and wondered what possessed her at the time.
But then Belle goes back to thinking, Nash was there when she had Greyson and Brooklynn , he helped her prepare for what's to come and she just packed up her car and left him. No matter how hard she tried getting over him she couldn't.
'Let's settle this once and for all' she thought to her self dialing Nash's number. 'I can see him again and tell him how I feel and then never speak to him again' In the back of her mind she knew that wasn't going to happen.. But she needed to act strong, shove her feelings back in the corner and hoped they would go away once and for all.
