13 ~ Calum

READ THE AN PLEASE!!

-

I sigh dropping into my room, leaving Thomas on the roof.

I can't believe that she is Valerie. How had I not figured it out by now? She's like one big Puzzle, and I've never been good at those.... God help me.

"Hey" Thomas says, stumbling from the window into my room. "I was wondering, Could you uh... Help me gain muscle?" He sheepishly asked, causing me to roll me eyes.

The boy just don't get it.

"Did you not just hear what I said like 5 seconds ago?" I ask, giving him a look similar to a glair.

"No, I did." He pauses, glancing around my room. "But can you like be my personal trainer?" He asks, redness botching onto his cheeks.

I sigh. "Yea, sure. If you really want." I say, pulling my shirt off, planing to take a quick shower.

"I do." He says stiffly, his eyes glancing from my biceps to my face quickly, the redness intensifying by the second.

I watch him, my eyebrow raised slightly in amusement, the silence makes him even more awkward as he makes his way to the door, stumbling a bit over the cluttered floor.

"You should pick things up sometimes." He says, his nose scrunched up as his eyes travel the floor for a second before he leaves, shutting the door behind him, a quick 'Goodbye' leaving his lips.

I shake my head, a small chuckle escaping the back of my throat. He can be so awkward sometimes.

Grabbing my phone, I walk across the hall and into the bathroom. Thomas had everything in an exact order. Shampoo, then conditioner, soap, and lastly two wash clothes, folded nicely, mine first and his right beside it. He's blind as a bat without his glasses.

Turning the handle to the left, cold water slowly became hot as it fell. I glance at the already fogging mirror before stepping into the shower.

I let out a long sigh, the hot water making my skin tingle with relaxation.

I feel like I'm on the out side looking in, nothing seems normal anymore, I don't know what to expect, From My parents to Valerie or Thomas.

There's so much I don't know. It's like I had head phones in my ears the whole time with music blasting so loud that everything else melted away and it was just me.

What I wanted to see. I didn't see how everything affected Thomas, or how having Valerie as a friend could help him, since I wasn't there.

If I had opened my eyes a little more I would have seen how distant Ashton is, we haven't talked in almost a month or how stressed Michael is with his whole summer school situation.

Maybe I would have noticed how uncomfortable, scared even, that Luke had gotten at that party, maybe I wouldn't have left him alone. Hell I haven't even texted him to make sure he even made it home, although it's almost 3:25am at the moment.

And then there's Mali. She has obviously been staying at friends houses and 'out working in project's frequently because she can't handle conflict. Mali's had a rough past with an ex of hers, but that not my story to tell.

Gosh, I should have been there for each of them, my heart deflates slightly as I realize that they either are struggling because I wasn't there, forgotten about me, or worse....they've left me behind, not needing me anymore.

I shut the water off, feeling drained. Wrapping the towel loosely around my waist, I step into the hallway, only to be stopped by Mali.

"Please tell me in not dreaming?" She asks, a happy glow in her face. I give her a weird look, pinching her shoulder softly. "You're awake."

She glares at me slightly, patting where I pinched her. "Did I just witness you and Thomas....getting along together?!" She asks, a smile spread across her face.

I roll my eyes, but couldn't stop a small smile from appearing on my face. "Yea you did. But don't think we'll start having movie nights and playing video games together." I sigh sadly. "Besides, it was probably a one time thing, he was just alone and dad was going all rampage on the poor boy, of course I was going to help him. He will probably go back to hating me and I will go back to being annoyed of him" I frown, sad that things will most likely go back to how they were.

She scoffed. "Now don't be such a Debby downer." She slapped my bare forearm softly. Lowering her voice, she whispered, "If you ask me, Thomas looked a bit happier, more confident even, when he left your room." She pauses, her eyes darting between mine." I think he's relived to have you back like he used too, you were the only one who has ever gotten as close as you did when you two were younger, Not even me." She sends me a small smile before turning to walk down the stairs.

I walk into my room and throw on some boxers and sweatpants, before flopping into my bed.

Today has been... Eventful. I honestly just want to sleep, but that's probably not going to happen for a while, despite how late it is.

I send a quick text to Luke asking if he made it home safely and one to Michael, apologizing for taking his car without letting him know.

I wish I had Valerie's number, so I could say sorry for leaving like that. I probably made her worry about Thomas.

I close my eyes, causing them to sting  a bit because of how tired I am.

Out of all the things swarming my brain, the fact that Valerie was the beautiful dancer just 4 houses down stuck out.

I had sat there and watched her mesmerized, night after night, wondering who she was. But I knew her all along.

It's funny how life works like that, how every thing connects.

One simple mistake could change your whole life,

which sadly, I will come to realize very soon.

Hello my beautiful readers!

I have decided to make this book my main focus, but I will update the others randomly because there stories are really good, but I feel like this one is the best.

Anyways, I think how is a good time for a Q&A, am I right? Now, closer to the end of the book, I will have another one, because believe me, you will have more questions.

Comment what you have, and next update will not be a chapter, but the answers to your questions.

Comment on the who you have a question for

This goes for ALL the boys books not just this one, that why some of the characters aren't in this book, or have small appearances.
