Runaway

Toriel was dead. I sobbed into the soft pillow in the bunker that each recruit had. She's not coming back. I thought of how my mother bled to death in the base we took over. Asriel's an emotional wreck along with my other friends and family. People do things in war. They die. We move on. One. I thought of Toriel dying. Two. How much of an emotional wreck we were. Three. I forget. I wiped my eyes blurred with hot tears. The door slid open with a woosh. Asriel came in wiping his eyes. He noticed me staring. "I'm sorry you have to see me like this Frisk. It's not like me." His voice was hoarse and tight from crying. I ran to his side to comfort him. "Everyone does it Asriel." I buried my face in the fur on his chest. "Get some rest. I'll sleep with you tonight. I know we're not supposed to see each other until everything is settled but I can't bear to be away from you. It's to much." I hugged his hips. Asriel guided me to the bed in the side of the room. He picked me up and laid me in the bed. Asriel crawled in weakly and pulled the covers up to our neck. He normally wrapped his arms around me and pulled me against him. I immediately fell asleep. I woke to my phone. Asriel noticed it too. I grabbed it and turned it on. A message from Toriel?! "What the fuck?" I whispered and turned it on. "]:) sent 2 weeks ago." My eyes got teary. This was the only thing left of my mother that wasn't clothing or a butterscotch-cinnamon pie recipe. I looked at Asriel who seemed confused. "She must have sent it before the rebellion. This place must have service." I gathered enough courage to smile... but it faded seconds after. I looked at the time before shutting the phone down. "It's 3
A.M." I said and laid my head against the pillow. Asriel closed his eyes and set his head directly behind mine. "Frisk." He said in a low voice. "Do you think we can get through this together. Honestly." He added. I thought for a second. "I think we can. It will take a while. But we can Asriel." I ran my fingers into his. "Together." Asriel fit his mouth to mine and kissed me. I gripped his shirt and wrapped my arm around him so we couldn't pull away. My emotions seemed to melt away, I was lost in time. Asriel wrapped his arms around me and rolled around so I was on top of him. I pressed my palms to his chest and bent down to kiss him. Just as Asriel put his hands on my hips and slid his fingers into my shorts the door slid open. Alphys was looking down at a clipboard. "Guys we need... to...." She looked up and Asriel pulled his fingers out of my shorts and blushed. Undyne popped her head around the corner. She let her jaw drop and she giggled between her teeth. "Let them be. They're having a sexy couple  time!" She snickered. My face turned bright red. "Undyne you take that back!" I yelled and looked down shamefully. "Carry on." The door shut and they walked away. We sat in silence for a few moments. "That ruins to mood." I said. "Not for me." Asriel swung me onto the bed and held my wrists down. I grinned. "Eager as always, huh?" I made a growling sound making Asriel grin.

When I left the room Undyne was standing outside with one foot against the white wall and her arms crossed. I tried to hide the redness in my face. She squinted at me and grinned. "Now I know what you meant that one day by, I took good care of him." I groaned and stormed off. Me and Asriel are crazy. We felt better about our mothers death in two days. But I still felt like I was dying. Undyne ran to catch up with me. "You can't deny it Frisk." "Quit it." I punched her in the arm and my cheeks got hot and bright red. "Oooo! Now I know you did it." She said. I buried my face in my hands. What if Asriel overheard this. I fanned my face. "This is so embarrassing." I yelled and Undyne grinned more. We walked around the corner of the hallway into the big open room, it was shaped in a circle that lowered into center. There was a fire in the center, people were crowded around it. Asriel was on one the people in the middle. He turned his head over his shoulder and saw me. He jerked his head towards the fire signaling me to come stand next to him. He was dressed in a leather jacket and some black jeans. Asgore across from him was holding a jar of white dust. Toriel. I pushed through the crowd and stood next to Asriel. He grabbed my hand and squeezed it. Asgore's eyes were red. "Thank you for your service and helping all humans monsters. Goodbye." Asgore dropped the dust into the fire. The heat intensified and the flames became vibrant blue then purple then green and died down. After everyone departed me and Asriel stood staring at the ashes squeezing each other's hands. We stood for a long time. "Let's go." Asriel finally broke the silence and pulled me away. We stopped at the edge of the hall. "I miss her so much." I started to cry, and my cry turned into a sob. "I miss her to, Frisk." He brushed his hand through my hair and kissed my forehead. "Why is it so hard to get over." I screamed into his shirt. "They are going to lose and pay for what they did!" My sobs turned into anger then sadness again. "We will get revenge. But not today Frisk. Let's get some sleep." Asriel picked me up and carried me to our room.

I was laying in bed when Asriel was fast asleep. He kept rolling around and pressing his back against mine. At one point Asriel swung around and hit me in the chest. He woke up when I let out a pained, "Ow!" Asriel wrapped his arms around me. "I'm sorry baby." He kissed my neck and on the first try he hit my sweet spot. I giggled uncontrollably and turned my head towards him smiling. "I couldn't sleep. You sound tired. Go back to bed." My stomach twisted with the idea that was going through my head. Asriel nibbled my ear. "I don't know what you're planning but I don't trust it." He laughed. I bit my lip. "I'm not doing anything. Just go back to sleep, I'll try to also." I smiled and kissed him. "I love you Asriel." He frowned. "Say it again." He grinned. "I said, I love you Asriel." I nestled into his chest and acted like I was sleeping. He kissed me again and rolled over. I waited an hour before I was sure he was asleep. I slipped out of bed and ran out of the room as fast as I could. I was going to turn myself in to the traitors. I ran into the lobby and pushed out the door. The night air was cool against my skin. I ran into the dense forest and towards the lights of the base many many many miles into the distance. If I was going to die. It was going to be for my family and friends and army.
