"Babe.." He said as he looked at her sleeping body. "Babe.." He called again, this time shaking her a little. A groan escaped her lips as she blocked her eyes from the sun rays that shone through the white curtains. He chuckled as she threw the sheet over her heard to block the light. "Babe wake up." He said. She uncovered herself and sat up, rubbing her tired eyes. "What is it Nick?" She asked. "Breakfast is ready." He said stroking her hair. "Your favorite." He added. "Everything that Denise cooks is my favorite." She smiled. "Especially because you're not a vegetarian anymore." He joked.

She chuckled and stood up, grabbing her robe. She she turned around as she felt Nick's muscular arms around her slim waist. "Babe, let me go." She pouted. He smiled and gave her neck a peck. "I'm never letting you go." He said. "Whatever you say Rose." She said slipping away from him and went into the bathroom. "Come back Jack." He said dramatically. "Shut up." She chuckled as she closed the door.

"I'll be right down okay?" Her voice echoed through the room. "Ok babe." He said before jogging down the stairs and into the kitchen. "Where's Selena?" Denise asked as she placed his place on the table. "She's coming." He said as he took his seat. "Well I hope she's okay, the first few days after delivery are the hardest." She frowned. "So I've heard." He said. Just then a tired teenage boy groggily made his way to his seat.

"Hey Frankie." Nick greet. "Hey." He said tiredly. "Wait, you're never up this early." Nick said confused. "I have football practice today." He sighed. "You didn't tell me you play football. Good for you." Nick smiled and ruffled his younger brothers bed head. "Yup." He said. "What position?" He asked suddenly interested. "I'm the kicker." He answered.

"Frankie that's great." Nick said, already proud of him. "I guess." He sighed. "You guess? What's the matter?" Nick asked. "It's hard living up to a Jonas legend. Everyone expects me to play like you." Frankie said. There was silence. "Frankie you don't have to live up to me. You're your own person, make yourself your own legend." Nick said giving him a nudge. Frankie smiled and gave that some thought. Denise held her heart as she watched two of her youngest sons bond.

"Nana?" Called Payton. "Yes sweetie?" She asked. "Can I have some pancakes?" Payton asked. "Sure sweetie." Denise said then gave her two perfectly round pancakes drizzled with sweet maple brown syrup. The six year old licked her lips at the sugary goodness. She grabbed her fork and dug in.

"Morning." Selena said as she entered. "Look who's up." Denise joked. Selena chuckled and gave her mother a hug. "How did you sleep last night?" Denise asked as she sat down. "Not good. I woke up at least four times last night." Selena said followed by a yawn. "Well honey if you ever need help I'm down the hallway." She said. "Well I wouldn't want to bother you. Besides, I have Nick." Selena said. "And how many times has he gotten up last night?" She asked. "Once." She answered. "And I'm proud of that." He said the jabbing his fork through the pancake.

They chuckled at him and went back to their conversation. "I'm serious Selena, I don't mind." She said. "I know you don't but you already have a lot on your plate with looking After Katie, Alena, and Payton for the summer. "I'm only looking after them during the day. Admit it, you need my help." Denise said. Selena smiled at this generous woman that she would soon call her mother-in-law. "I need your help." She said then chuckled. "Oh I know." Denise joked.

*Ding Dong*

"I'll get it!" Sam yelled. She walked down the stairs and opened the door. "Hey Sammy." Said Demi as she entered the house with her daughter on her hip. "Hey Demi. Wheres Joe?" She asked closing the door. "He just left for work." She said as they walked into the kitchen. "Hey Katie!" Denise yelled. "Nana." She said. "Awe come here my baby." She said taking the toddler away from her mother. She smiled at her granddaughter and attacked her with kisses.

"Hey everyone." Demi greeted as they all greeted back. "Hey Demi." Selena said. "Hey. How did last night go?" She asked. "Do I even have to answer?" Selena said. Demi chuckled and said, "that bad huh?" "Pretty much." Selena said. "You'll get used to it." She assured her. Selena nodded and took a bite of her crispy brown bacon.

"Hi Alena, hey Payton." Demi said then gave them each a kiss on their forehead. "Dani already dropped them off?" She asked. "Mhm, she had to go to work early this morning." Denise answered.  "Well I better get going." She said adjusting the strap on her purse. "Okay see you later for dinner." Denise waved. "Okay!" Demi yelled before she was out the door.

Mid way through his meal, a vibration came from his pajama pocket. He groaned and dug through his pocket and pulled out his phone. Her

He sighed and stood up. "Excuse me, I have to take this call." He said before leaving. "Hello?" He answered.

"Hey." She said smirking.
"What do you want?" He asked.
"I called to tell you that I have another doctors appointment tomorrow."
"Hold on." He said.

He opened the door and exited the house. He walked over to the garage and hopped in his car where no one could hear him.

"You there?" She asked.
He held his phone to his ear and said, "How do I know that this baby is even mine?"
She gasped, "You're the last guy I had sex with Nicky."
He rolled his eyes and said, "Please don't call me that."
"You have to take this seriously Nicky. I don't want our baby thinking that their dad didn't have the balls to step up to the plate." She teased.
He sighed and rolled his eyes. "Fine I'll come. What time?"
"Eight tomorrow morning. I'll tell you the location once you're in New York." She smirked.
"Okay bye." He said then hung up.

He sat in his car for a minute to think this over. He rubbed his temples to stop himself from having a migraine. He had to take his medicine before he went on a rage. He got out of his car and went back in the house. He walked back in the dining room and sat back in his seat.

"Who was that?" Asked Selena. "Blanda. She was bothering me about work. I have to be there tomorrow around 8, so I'm leaving tonight." He announced. "Babe you're supposed to be out of work for one week." Selena said. "I know but I have to get this done." He said.

She sighed and played with her food. She no was longer hungry. "Come on babe, I'll be back by tomorrow night." He said. She sat there in silence. He gave her a quick peck and went back to eating his breakfast.

He packed his overnight bag as his fiancé laid on the bed, watching him. He looked up to see her mournful face. She looked down at her daughter as she  continued to drink her mother's milk. "Don't look at me like that.." He sighed. "I told you I'll be back tomorrow night." He added. She continued to watch her baby drink away.

"Silent treatment huh?" He said as he walked over to her. He leaned down and kissed his daughter's forehead and then pecked his fiancé's lips. "Don't be mad at me okay?" He said. Selena looked up at him and cracked a small smile. "I'm not mad I just really want you to be here with me and the babies. We're both new to this and I want us to learn together." She said. "You're acting like I'll be away for a month. Besides, it's not like you're alone, my mom is willing to help." He said.

She sighed and nodded. "Okay, I have to go now." He said then gave her a kiss. "I'll see you tomorrow." He said. "Okay have a safe flight. Call me." She said as he zipped his small suitcase. "I will." He said then walked over to the cradle and kissed his son goodbye.

7:50 AM | New York, NY

Nick sat there impatiently in the family waiting room. He sighed and looked out the huge window overlooking the city. Buildings and buildings and buildings. The sun hid behind the queue of clouds in the blue sky. It was a beautiful day. A beautiful day in which he could've been spending back in Texas with his family but instead he was there.

He sighed once more, standing up. He was nervous. He paced back and forth in the waiting room, panicking. Where was she? He wondered if this was all a set up. That she wasn't pregnant. That she made all of this up to get him there. But that thought was soon crumbled as Olivia walked in.
