Rollerskates

"Hey Y/N," that familiar voice you love calls out from downstairs.
"Yeah?" you shout back.
"How does rollerskating sound?" he asked.
"Well, it's a pretty weird word. I mean, r-o-l-l-e-r-s-k-a-t-i-n-g? Sounds so weird," you reply smirking.
You hear keys jingle.
"Okay, I'm coming," you say rushing downstairs. He looks back from the door and smiles. "I knew you'd come."
In reality, you're not that great at rollerskating. Okay, let's be real. You're horrible.
After you put on your shoes, he grabs your hand and leads you outside the house. You smile and walk to the car.
•••
The place wasn't that crowded, well, as much as you thought it would be. Less people to witness your failures; great.
"Ready?" he asks turning off the car. You nod, disagreeing with this whole thing.
You both race each other to the entrance, where you see about twenty people skating around. Lights were flashing this way and that, sometimes blinding you.
The center of the place had a wooden floor, where most of the people were. On the far right was a playzone, with slides, a ball pit, and ropes. Your inner child pulls Dan's arm to the playzone.
"Y/N?" he asks with confusion. You excitedly point towards the area, him then nodding in approval.
You both go straight for the ball pit, almost covered completely.
You grab a bright blue ball and throw it at him.
"Hey!"
"What?" you ask in an innocent tone. He smirks and grabs an orange one, aiming at your head. Soon enough, you two were having a ball pit fight.
"Sir? Ma'am?" a middle-aged man said to both of you through the net. "No throwing in the ball pit, and no one over the age of 13 unless you are accompanying a young child."
"Oh sorry," you say trying to stand up; but everytime you stood, you fell back down, causing Dan to burst into laughter.
"Help me, you idiot," you say bracing yourself against the net. He nods, still laughing. Finally, you both exit, smiling at your stupidity.
"Should we actually go rollerskating now," he asks. You shrug, remembering why you're here.
"It'll be easy, I promise."
"I'm going to fall. You know this."
"I'll help you."
You both walk over to the check-in desk to get your skates.
"What size?" a lady asked you.
"Seven and a 10," you said. She nodded and went to the back. You quickly slip off your shoes and place them on the counter for trade-in.
"I'm so excited," he said sarcastically.
"Why are we here if you weren't?" you ask, smirking.
He laughs and agrees. You both grab your skates and put them on, you especially, tightening them.
"Ready?" he asks. You reluctantly nod, slowly standing up. He braces you as you skate to the floor. When I say skate, I mean slowly walk, rolling slightly when Dan pushes you.
He leads you to the wooden floor, where everyone was skating around and around.
"C'mon," he said to you. You slowly make your way to the edge of the area.
"You're not that bad."
"Watch me fall."
"Just do what you're doing, but faster."
"Faster?"
"Obviously, Y/N."
"Fine."
You slide a but faster, making your way around. It was fun, until you started looking at the prize table.
"Look at that - " you manage to say before collapsing on the floor.
"Y/N!" Dan shouts, quickly kneeling beside you.
"I'm good," you say laughing. You both decided that rollerskating wasn't your forte.
