Chapter One
5 years later
Cassie's POV
"Did you steal that car?" I demand
"Nooooppe why would we do that????" Tracy says innocently
"Oh really." I say suspiciously
"Absolutely!" She says
"We are not keeping that, so put it back where it belongs." I order
"Why???" Angela asks sadly
"Because if you don't return it it's mommy will miss it and would be sooo worried about it, would you like that?" I say
"Where not young anymore that won't work on us." Herme says triumphantly
"Uhhuh but the police will go after us."
"Like they haven't done that before."
"They will send a lot of cops after us more than you can count!"
The girls all burst out laughing
"We could totally handle them!" Liz says
"We'd crush them!" Angela says evilly
"Okay I get your point, but which one of you knows how to drive?" I ask
"Ummmm you could drive is." Herme offers
I shake my head. "If you leave the car, I will get you guys pizza."
"Ohhhhh okay!!!" They all say
"Let's get moving, I found us a job on a potato farm so we can get money."
All their faces fall "WHYYYYY??"
"Because we need more money." I tell them
"How did you get us a job?" Angela asks
"Oh it was some old dude." I respond
"Great even worse first we have to work, now some old fatto is our boss!" Angela says
"Angela!" I scold her "how did you know he was fat?"
"Duh I guessed." She said then she said something evil under her breath that I couldn't hear, but I knew that sweet and innocent (sometimes) Herme heard
"Do we all have to work?" Tracy asks
"YES!" I yell
"Yesh you don't need to yell!" Liz says raising her voice.
"I know I was just getting the point across, so nobody- I eye Tracy- thinks that they can't work. We have work tomorrow, so you guys should get ready."
"Can we get pizza?" Tracey asks after a long moment of silence
"Yes and we are going to pay for it, not steal it." I say
"But we don't have a lot of money!" Herme exclaims "And we have to pay for the house and and-"
"Its fine I have money, we're not broke." I say "Well not totally broke" I say to myself
"What was that?" Herme asks who notices everything.
"I said lets go get a pizza!" I yell excited
All the girls yell out happily, but Herme still seems suspicious.
We walk to the pizza place since it is close and order a large cheese pizza. The girls wanted more, but I only brought enough for one pizza.
We ate at the restaurant, and then went back home. I announce that I am going out, and they all want to come with me until I tell them where I am going, to the grocery store and they all lose interest.
I head to the grocery store and pick up some groceries. On my way back home I notice a dark shadowy figure in the dark.
The person emerges into the light and I see a familiar face just before he pulls me into the shadows.
"Why did you come?" I immediately say
"I came to check on you, and tell you something, well actually two things. Do you want the good or bad news." My old friend Conner says
" Bad please."
"They- you know what's are figuring out your location, you can't stay hidden forever."
"Uh what's the good news?"
"Your banishment has been risen, you can come home now!"
I hesitate then say
"No thanks, I am glad about that, but I have my family to raise, unless you can let us all come."
Conner's smile turns into a frown as he says softly "I'm sorry Cassie, but their still banned."
"But they were so young, it wasn't even their fault, they don't even remember it!" I yell
"I wish they could come, but even if they don't remember it they still did it and I know that you know how strict the council is." Conner says
"I am not going back without my sisters, that was not good news that was worse than what you told me first, now I have to get back to my FAMILY, excuse me and good night!"
"Cassie wait!" Conner yells, but I'm already gone.
