Learning the Ropes
Max let (Y/N) watch some videos on his computer from Adam's channel, and she was cracking up. (Y/N) would watch a Do Not Laugh and she was wheezing. Before she was a little self conscious about her laugh but one joke was so funny she didn't even care anymore.
Taking a break, (Y/N) paused the video and sat back in the roll-y chair. She sighed holding her tummy with a goofy grin plastered on her face.
"Hey (Y/N), liking the videos?" Max came in holding a water bottle. (Y/N) nodded wiping a little tear that slipped from laughing. Max smiled at her, secretly thinking she was adorable.
"Uhm, Max?" (Y/N) then caught Max's attention. Max nodded. "I didn't know you from Louisiana." (Y/N) grinned remembering a video where Max mentioned Louisiana.
"Oh yeah, that's where I was before I came to Washington." Max replied. (Y/N)'s eyes widened. "Me too!" (Y/N) chuckled. Max's eyes lightened up.
"(Y/N) I've been meaning to ask, or tell you." (Y/N)'s attentions as focused on Max. "Did you go to (high school name)?"
(Y/N) gasped a nodded rapidly. "Oh my god!! I knew you looked familiar!!" (Y/N) practically screamed. Max laughed as (Y/N) smiled standing up.
"Hold up, hold up. You were in my Biology and Cinematography class! A-and is that why you edit videos?!" (Y/N) connected the dots and she couldn't have been so amazed. Max nodded surprised at how (Y/N) remembered that, making Max also remember.
"(Y/N) oh my god you were shy and quiet...now look at you!! You glo'ed up!!" Max playfully grinned making (Y/N) laugh at what he said.
'You definitely thought I did when I caught you staring at me yesterday.' (Y/N) thought, but not out loud.
"Yeah, I quit cinematography because I thought I couldn't do it. That's why I was nervous coming here when you mentioned 'editing videos'." (Y/N) explained nervously. Max shook his head. "Don't worry, it's not that hard actually."
"AND HERE WE HAVE MAX AND (Y/N) TALKING. WHAT MUST THE CONVERSATION BE ABOUT?" Adam's loud voice suddenly broke the calm atmosphere. Adam was holding his phone in a way in which he was recording.
"(Y/N) IS NEW TO THE OFFICES. SAY HI (Y/N) YOU'RE GONNA BE ON YOUTUBE!!" Adam screamed.
"Oh my god no don't show me!!" (Y/N) screeched hiding her face. Adam laughed shoving the camera in Max's face instead. "Hi Max. You mad?" Adam said about to run away.
"One more, Adam." Max said threateningly, his voice going down an octave. "Maaaddd Maaaxxx. AHHH" Adam's voice echoed through the building. Max already was chasing Adam and (Y/N) guessed that Max was mad, hah.
(Y/N) saw the two run like little kids, and she thought it was ridiculous.
"It happens all the time. You'll get used to it." An unfamiliar voice came to (Y/N)'s ears. She turned around to the person of the voice and saw another man with brown curly hair and glasses. "Oh." (Y/N) chuckled nervously.
"I'm Ross." "(Y/N)." "So I heard you're working here now?" Ross asked (Y/N). She nodded rolling her body on the balls of her feet.
"Yeah. I was just watching some of your guys' videos. You're all super funny." (Y/N) giggled. Ross chuckled bobbing his head down. "Thanks."
"ADAM COME HERE!!" Max's voice came through the hallway. Adam ran between Ross and (Y/N) with his phone camera with Max following.
"This is what you deal with?" (Y/N) asked looking at them. Ross nodded. "Every. Day." He smiled reassuringly.
"Well, it was nice to meet you, Ross. I should get back to watching videos and learn how you guys edit." (Y/N) said trying to avoid an awkward connection. Ross put his hand up understanding. "You go do that, (Y/N)." Then he left.
(Y/N) went back to the computer, pressing the un-pause button to play the video again. Soon enough, (Y/N) was back to laughing her ass off.
Max on the other hand, done chasing Adam, stopped a few feet behind (Y/N). He saw her laugh and he thought it was adorable. 'I can hear that laugh for hours' Max thought smiling to himself.
Wait, an old high school friend falling in love with another high school friend? Cheesy.
