Two Opposite Worlds

Max woke up to the annoying alarm clock. He tried covering his head with his blanket, but of course that never helped. Max sighed, and slammed his hand on the big button.

He turned to lay on his back, looking up at the plain ceiling. He remembers, while staring at the ceiling, as a kid, his mom would cook pancakes for breakfast. Now since Max is older, his parents grew older as well. Soon breakfast came to a halt because his mother got lazy overtime. He couldn't blame her, he thought maybe his mother would think Max would make his own breakfast.

That was also a sad thing; Max never really learned how to cook. Besides boiling water for his mac n' cheese.

Max sat up remembering he had to go to work at SkyMedia. He didn't feel like it. For some reason he lost motivation.

That's what he's been feeling lately. He doesn't want to do anything, not even go to work, where his friends were.

You can say Max is getting tired of the old routine. Each passing day, he kept thinking about his life: who he'll fall in love with, what videos he'll record next on his channel, or if his parents were doing okay.

And as each day went on, Max got worried. He worries about not being happy soon. Yeah sure, he's recording videos with his friends and laughing with them. But Max worries about where he belongs. Even though his work-friends treat him like they're brothers from other mothers, there was this little thing that sat in the back of his mind, telling him, 'I don't think this is where you belong. Maybe try something new? Maybe tomorrow, you don't have the energy today.' And almost each day, it was a cycle of those thoughts.

And Max wanted those thoughts to just go away. At one point, he got tired of hearing himself silently while he edits videos. So Max pushed himself to get out of those thoughts. At one point, it worked. But as of now, he's right back to where he started. Lost and haven't found himself, yet.

As Max got up, he went into the bathroom, passing both of his roommates' rooms. He stepped onto the cold tile and turned on the light, scrunching his face towards his reflection in the mirror. His hair was sticking up in many directions and his eyes were half closed. Max ignored it and proceeded to brush his teeth and wash his face before he, Ross, and Tim all had to go to work together.

(Y/N) stirred her morning coffee, sighing as she saw the milk mix in with the brew. (Y/N) felt calm, and she finally felt like an adult. After moving out of her home in Louisiana and taking a nice and cozy house in the suburbs, she finally felt free. Free of her parents' rules or free of being under other people's rules. Now she could do whatever she wanted to, but she knew her limits.

(Y/N) did miss her parents; she got homesick very quickly. But being her independent self, she left the tears and continued to go on about her days. She was old enough, she knew what she was doing. All that she had to do now was hopefully find some new friends and maybe a new boyfriend. She also needed to find a job. But that wasn't much of a worry to (Y/N) at the moment.

She remembered her old boyfriend. He was great guy, but he became such a baby when he heard about (Y/N)'s move across the country. So she dumped him. (Y/N) couldn't handle a man who wasn't a man, you know.

(Y/N) was going to spend the day alone. She was going out by herself to get to know Washington a little bit more. It was a nice day; the sun is out and it's not too humid for an early summer feel anyways.

(Y/N) sipped her coffee, walking to her couch and turning on the tv in the meantime to kill an hour before she wanted to leave. The sound of the tv filled the quiet air of her home, actually making (Y/N) feel like she is home. (Y/N) grinned as she remembers that she's alone.

(Y/N) loved the silence. She loved the quiet atmosphere. (Y/N) really didn't know why, but it calmed her. It brought her peace and after moving out of a family of 6, she finally obtained that peace she wanted

(Y/N) sipped at her coffee again, letting the warm drink prep her for the day. She was excited. Before, she was worried about what she'd do in the new state. But now, (Y/N) has this all under control.
