Chapter 28

^^ If homework were ghosts

School
Hickeys were all over her neck. Bright red patches of love were the results of their make out session the night before. (Lmao)
"I swear, if anyone sees them, we so aren't kissing for another week," Isuju grumbled as she tightly clutched onto the end of the red scarf.
"Like hell you can resist me for a whole week," Karma snorted in response.
"We'll see who's more desperate at the end," Isuju winked, and Karma mentally cussed as he stopped at the foot of the mountain.
Karma sneakily pulled her closer to him and pecked her on her lips.
"HeY hEY, no kissing," Isuju smacked his upper arm, and Karma swiftly dodged.
"It's only no kissing if anyone finds out about the hickeys," Karma shrugged.
A low whistle was heard soon after.
Maehara and Sugino walked past, both giving an approving nod with a thumbs up.
"We found out about the hickeys," Maehara said teasingly to the couple, and Isuju's face flushed quickly as her lower lip trembled.
Karma's face flushed as red as his hair before he gave a cheeky smile and waved at Isuju. He grinned as he walked between the duo, his arms slung around both their shoulders.
Maehara and Sugino knew something was going to go down for them if they did the wrong move. Karma's eyes had a mischievous glint in them.
"We can't have you guys going around saying that, can't we?" Karma said lowly, and a chill went down both their backs.
"Uh, yea," Maehara said as he faked a laugh, and Sugino followed suit.
Isuju
Isuju gazed at Karma's back disappearing into the woods. Smiling to herself, she turned her back and headed for the main school building.
Her body felt lighter than ever, like she was removed of her burdens. She wanted to go back to Class E, people were less judge-y there and it was more fun learning how to fight rather than which bald head ruled Japan in the past.
However, Isuju knew she still had some unfinished business in Class A.
Class A
Isuju sat in her chair and sprawled across her table, awaiting the right moment to strike.
She had to help Asano with whatever that he needed first before she could flunk her tests and go back to Class E. Assassination is more fun than studying after all.
"Ah, I forgot that you're still here," a shrilly voice yawned as Isuju felt a kick on her chair.
"You know, it's kinda stupid how you did so many things wrong, and yet can still be able to live in Class A," Subeta grinned, revealing her partially yellow teeth.
"Wasn't I the one you broke your wrist?" Isuju tilted her head back to look at the bitch she was planning to face.
"I can break your neck next, wanna try?"
Subeta saw a glint of ferocity in Isuju's eyes, it wasn't plain mischief anymore, neither was it anger.
It was bloodlust.
Subeta was scared, and she wasn't going to lie. Shivers spiked her back as she continued staring into Isuju's eyes.
Gritting her teeth, she frowned, trying to shake her fear off.
"Don't act like you're mighty and strong," Subeta felt anger coil up inside of her, "there are people around, and you're going to kill me? That's pathetic."
"I don't act, Subeta," Isuju calmly said as her gaze remained steady, and it was exactly how calmly she said it that freaked Subeta out.
"Acting is only for those who don't have the confidence to do it themselves," Isuju turned back to face the front, ignoring the girl who was scared shitless.
Anyone around could tell that the atmosphere was rather tense, not even Subeta's friends went to stand up for her.
"But you're right," Isuju giggled softly as she smiled genuinely, "I'm not gonna kill you."
Her azure eyes gleamed under the soft beams from the sun as her coral pink lips whispered the remaining words.
"At least not in public."
Goosebumps dotted Subeta's neck. She could feel the shudders slowly stroll down her spine, which made her feeling of fear last longer than it should.
Well, Isuju was only joking.
I stand correct, Isuju was only half joking.
The priceless look on Subeta's face was saved in Isuju's mind. She felt a pinch of adrenaline as Subeta shrank back in her seat as she turned back to face the front.
The platinum white haired girl giggled in her seat as their homeroom teacher walked in, starting the class in spite of the spiteful aura Subeta was radiating.

Subeta
"Who the hell does she think she is?" Subeta pushed one of her the girls in her clique. She had actually made one of the girls with pale hair wear black spectacles to resemble Isuju.
The other girls watched with pity as the girl's back hit the wall harshly. A girl in her clique, Hachino, glared at Subeta, as the blonde turned her back.
Subeta spat on the floor as she turned and paced across the toilet cubicles.
"Ugh, now that I've gotten my anger out, it's time to call daddy," Subeta grinned as she took out her phone.
However, before she could turn it on, she felt a push on her back, making her stumble a few steps forward and drop her phone.
"Wha-" Before Subeta could completely turn around, her collar was grabbed harshly by Hachino.
"Bitch, this is enough," anger was evident as Hachino held on firmly to her collar and glared into her soul.
"Enough of pushing everyone around, say sorry to Gouno," Hachino jerked her head to the bruised girl on the floor.
"Hah? What makes you think I'll apologise? Let me go!" Subeta made a futile attempt to struggle.
"Then what makes you think I'll let go?" Hachino pushed her roughly against the wall.
"It's okay if your face breaks right? Because daddy has money for plastic surgery," Hachino mocked the way Subeta had said it, and even through the thick make-up, anyone could see the girl's face going pale.
"S-Screw all of you! I'm going to tell the principal, all of you are going to get expelled!" Subeta mustered her last words before she frantically stood up and headed quickly towards the bathroom exit.
Before she could exit the bathroom, she felt a harsh tug on her collar.
"Did you seriously fucking think we'd let you out?" Hachino chuckled at Subeta's stupidity.
"After all, only a dead girl tells no tales right?"
