4 - The Gig.
It was that night. I had left before my dad and John to go to my gig to meet Asher.
"Hey handsome. You got a lady," I say to Asher as I stand next to him.
"It depends gorgeous. You taken," he asks back.
"No, I'm looking for a man, and you caught my eye."
"Well I would be happy to be your man."
I put my hands around his neck and I'm about to kiss him for the very first time, but I hear the door slam. I know it's my dad and John.
"It's my dad and John, right," I ask Asher.
"Yep, they have the best timing," Asher says.
"Perfect."
"Well I think it's time to start the show," he says excitedly.
"You can go first today. I'll be watching good luck," I offer.
"Thanks. I'll need it."
He heads up to the stage.

What feels like a half hour later Asher had sung Don't by Ed Sheeran and I'm Yours by Jason Mraz. I had sung Up All Night by Arty, and Hey Hey by BYRON. Both were my own mixes.
Asher and I had also sung Safe and Sound by Capital Cities, and Like I'm Going To Lose You by Meghan Trainor.
I'm exhausted, and I can tell that my dad can't wait for me to get away from Asher.
I pack up my stuff and go to see what my father thinks.
"So, dad...did you like it," I ask timidly.
"Liked, it? I loved it."
"I'm glad. I'm so tired."
"You did great Charlie! I would like to see you preform more," John says as he walks up to me.
"Thanks. I'm going to say goodbye to Asher," I continue. I walk over to him and start to say goodbye. "I had fun tonight. I would give you a hug but...you know."
"I understand. I'll talk to you tomorrow, ok."
"Ok. I love you Asher."
"I love you Charlie."
