Bryson pulled away before I could. I laughed a bit and licked over my almost swollen lips. I stared up at him with a shy smile.
"Let's go."
I followed Bryson out to the car and hopped into the passenger seat. I couldn't take my eyes off him.
"Why you keep staring Rose?"
I looked away and cut the radio up lowly.
"Thank you."
"No problem, Ro."
I hinted his distant vibe. Sitting back in my seat I grasped his hand. He pulled away and balled up his fist.
"Rose. I was finna send that nigga through the fucking coin machine."
I grabbed his hand, unballed his fist and rested it on my stomach. He began rubbing it.
"Is my baby home?"
"No. I dropped her at her moms earlier."
"She's moving around. Bryson you doing it too good." I laughed feeling the baby move around inside me
"You wasn't go let her call that nigga daddy right?"
"No. He use to talk to her but I made your role clear."
He balled up his fist once more sighing as we pulled up to his parents house.
I opened the door for me and helped me out the car. My back was doing that most right now.
"I remember this place." I smiled
"My parents left it to me a last year."
"Where'd they go?"
"Moved."
I followed him in then look around at the house. So many memories flooded my head. This place was like a museum for us.
I traced my fingertips along the railing as I made my way to his room. I landed in his bed and grabbed his pillow squeezing it against me.
I looked around the room spotting my purple notebook that read PRIVATE on the cover, even the notes I copied for him. I went to grab them, the date read 5/26/11. I sat in his computer chair and spun around. I saw him looking at me thru the doorway.
"It's the same. Just how we left it."
"Come on."
I followed him to his parents old room out to the balcony. He rested on the same couch with his legs cocked open.
"Lay down."
He did so helping me climb on him and be comfortable.
"Old times?"
"I missed you papa."
