Chapter 2

Tris' POV
I've been home for about 2 days and Teigon isn't as bad as you'd think.
He hasn't cried once. He whimpers and makes noises as if he was crying but tears never slip.
Right now he's taking his afternoon nap and Tobias and I are cuddling in bed, exhausted from lack of sleep. We haven't even left the apartment once.
"Tris?" Tobias says.
I lift my head from his chest and look up at him, "yes?"
"Don't you think it's a bit weird that Teigon hasn't actually cried once?"
"I guess it is a little weird. Do you think it's something we should worry about?" I look into his eyes and they look more blue. More vibrant.
"I don't know. I think we should get him checked out just in case." He says and I nod.
"We could head to erudite tomorrow to get a better check up and in the meantime let Caleb meet Teigon."
He nods and I rest my head back on his chest.
"When Teigon wakes up do you want to go to lunch? We haven't been in a few days?" I ask.
"Sure, I think our friends would like th-"
He gets cut off by Teigons crying. Meaning crying without tears.
"I'll get him if you grab everything we need for Teigon." Tobias says and I nod, getting up.
Tobias leaves the room and disappears into Teigons room. I go to the front door and grab the diaper bag and a heated up bottle of milk. I put my shoes on and Tobias comes out right then.
He's holding Teigon against his chest, allowing Teigons head to rest on his shoulder. Teigon fell asleep again and has a little black blanket covering him. It's so cute!
Tobias is almost hugging him to his chest.
"Ready?" I whisper.
He nods and we walk out. I lock the door and grab Tobias' free hand.
We walk down the hall, and since its lunch time there isn't anyone in the halls.
We walk into the cafeteria and a lot of people look at us. It doesn't quiet down that much but I hear a lot of 'he's so cute!'s and 'look how adorable four is!'.
We walk to our table and sit down. Today they have food at the tables.
"Hey guys."
I say a little quieter then usual because of Teigon and everyone, even Uriah, gets it.
"Hey, how are you? How's Teigon?" Christina asks while feeding Zach a bottle of milk.
"I'm good, I'm still the slightest bit sore, but that should go away soon and Teigon is great!" I say and smile a little.
I look at four and he put Teigon into a cradle position while he's stares at him with a smile.
"Long time no see!" I hear a voice say from behind me.
I look behind me and find Pavan, standing there with a small smile.
"Hey pavan!" I say getting up and giving her a hug.
"Hey tris, how are you?"
"I'm good, how have you been? Any boys?" I say wiggling my eyebrows with a smile.
She blushes and looks at me. "Well I have been with this one guy..."
"Name!"
"Damion."
"What does he look like?"
"Dark brown hair and striking dark green eyes with clear skin and about a head taller then me."
"Personality!"
"Caring, cocky, daring, sweet, like able, adorable, just amazing!"
"And last but not least, when can I meet him?" Okay fine, I'm excited that my sister has a man.
"Tonight. I'll bring him to dinner." She says and is still blushing.
"Yay! Well, do you want to meet your nephew? You missed it in the hospital."
She nods and I bring her over to Teigon and Tobias. The sight I see is the cutest thing ever. Tobias is holding Teigon in one arm, looking into Teigons now open eyes and gently stroking his face.
The whole group is looking at four with small smiles on there faces, not daring to say a word although the rest of the cafeteria is pretty loud other then the people also looking at Tobias.
I look back at Pavan and nod her over. She walks over and she looks over Tobias' shoulder. Her eyes light up and she smiles.
"He's so cute!" She whispers, not wanting to break the silence or Tobias' trance.
I smile and she look back at Teigon.
I feel a gentle tap on my shoulder and look back. Mom is there with a smile.
"Hi mom!" I whisper and nod my head to our whole group and Tobias, secretly telling her to stay quiet.
She nods and I lead her to the other side of Tobias so she can see.
Once she is able to see she smiles and she looks back at me.
'He's a keeper!' She mouths to me.
"Well it looks like Four has softened up!" A voice booms, compared to the rest of us.
I look behind me and find Darren with a few of the other old initiates that are apart of his friend group.
Four has finally been snapped out of his haze and is standing behind me, Teigon in his arms.
"Darren go away. We don't need to deal with you and your friends." Tobias says in his four voice.
"Fine, but it won't stop us next time." He says and walks off with his group.
Like they could ever hurt us.
"Hey four?" Mom says and four looks right at her, his eyes softening.
"I just wanted to say that I don't know why Caleb and Andrew ever doubted you. You are caring and perfect for Beatrice. You are sweet with Teigon and I can tell you love them both to death. And I want to thank you for being in Beatrice's life." Mom says and has tears brimming her eyes.
"It's my pleasure Natalie. I wouldn't want to love anyone else. Plus this little guy." Tobias says and I have tears in my eyes.
That was the sweetest thing my mom has ever said.
"Mom...that was the sweetest thing you have ever said! Thank you for supporting both of us!" I say and hug her.
I let a few years spill and my mom rubs my back.
"Well it's all true. He's perfect for you and I am glad you had his child."
"Thank you." I whisper, barely audible.
I pull back and go to Tobias who has a warm smile on. He's holding Teigon against his chest again. I hug him on the side without Teigon and he hugs me back, kissing my forehead.
"I love you." He says.
"I love you too."
"I love you too little guy." Tobias says and kisses Teigons head. Teigon has fallen asleep again so he doesn't respond much.
"And I love you too." I kiss Teigons cheek and snuggle back into Tobias' chest.
I hear a click and look up. Pavan took a picture of us.
"You guys are so cute, I just couldn't help it!" She says and I laugh.
I go to her and hug her.
"I love you lil' sis."
"I love you too big sis."
I pull apart and we all sit back down. Pavan and my mom included. We talk, laugh, and eat for the rest of lunch.
