After the crew settled in from there long journey, Hailey called for a meeting. I wonder what it's about.

Before I went to the meeting I went to my room to look present able, shining up my armour and freshening up. After I was finished Ethan came to pick me up at my room and together we went to the meeting.

We went to the town square, where all the people of Pikoro where gathered in one huge clump of people chattering and giggling. I took sight of Hailey in the front with a blue dress on with her hair tied up in a bun and I made my way to her side, I nodded to Ethan sending him off and stood straight and proud.

Hailey gleamed at the group of people. "Hailey... You said you wanted to talk to me?" I told her and she nodded "yes, but I won't need to anymore. I'm gonna tell everyone instead" she smiled and I nodded.

"Excuse me everyone" she intervened the group of people, almost in a instant they were all silent, you could've heard a pin drop if you wanted to.

"Thank you" she thanked everyone and continued "as you know, it has been a while since our whole family was reunited as one, and I can certainly tell you I'm so proud of each and everyone one of you venturers, that left for that long to not only benefit yourselves, but Pikoro" she smiled and the crowd.

"Now for the big announcement! We will of course have a party for our returning family members, but it seems like it will be bigger than usual" she said still keeping the smile plastered on her face. A bunch of people where confused and began to whisper and question.

"Now, I know you may all be wondering why?" She said and silence filled the air again. "Well, if you all remember my and our dearest friend Lord Aphmau of Phoenix Drop.....they will becoming tomorrow to visit once again!" And couple of cheers filled the air. I silently smiled Katelyn's coming back!

"Now, now!" She hushed the crowed. "I expect all of you to be welcoming and kind to our visitors, remember they are our friends not enemies... And tomorrow we will Feist once again but as a family!" She cheered and everyone complied to her wishes. I couldn't lie, I was excited to see Katelyn again.

Then from behind me Someones breath fanned my neck I turned around quickly to see Dominic in a beige sweatshirt with dark jeans. I groaned "Dominic! I was just about to beat your ass" I hissed in a low tone and he chuckled "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you....I just wanted to see you" he said smiling stupidly.

"You haven't spoken to me in two days....what's been going on?" I questioned him. It wasn't like him to do that, he hated when his parents did that to him....why would he do it to me?

"Nothing....just busy" he shook off the question, I decided to pry more. "Busy doing what?" I asked, and he quickly shot back "stuff" and I shot back "what kind of stuff?" And then he finally said "why do you care?" AHHH there it is, the ugly truth.

"Because your my friend" I told him calmly looking at the ground. I didn't want to start and argument, I just wanted him to tell me the truth. He didn't say anything for a while but then he finally did "can-can....you please just...drop it?" He whispered. I looked into his eyes and saw a glimmer of sadness. I wanted to know what was hurting him, why was he sad...I wanted to make it better.

But I just nodded and stayed in my position. As the crowd departed and went to there homes, I went for my duty. I loved being on duty, it gave me purpose. I love watching the sunset, and hearing the crickets and Forrest sounds. I suppose after that period of time when I was in the Forrest I found a comfort in it.

But then I noticed someone in a black hoodie run past our guards I was about to react but then I noticed it was Nydia. Why does she always leave at night? Where is she going? Why is she so secretive about it?

thousands of questions ran through my head like a river or stream. I watched until I lost sight of her. What if she was a spy and she was reporting to another village? What if she was evil? I shook the last thought from my mind. She couldn't, she was way to nice and quiet........but...you never know.....

"KATIE!" I heard a scream, I jumped out of my bed, and in a panic I grabbed my sword and sped off to Hailey's room. Once I got to the room, it was locked. I kicked down the door to see Hailey holding two bags that were draped over her arms.

"Oh....." She trailed off. I scanned her room no one was there. "What happened?! You call for me?" I questioned quickly scanning over her for signs of fright, sadness, struggling, something!

"Well..." She trailed off blushing, clearly embarrassed. I stood there in my tank top and underwear, with my hands on my hips. Spit it out woman!

"Our...uh...dressss arrived" she smiled shyly. Dresses......she screamed like bloody murder for dresses............😑

"Dresses?" I questioned and she finally burst into laughter "I apologize! I was just so happy our dresses came for tonight's party! I didn't mean to-" and then she paused. "Didn't mean what?" I asked her beginning to get impatient tapping my foot.

She coughed and pointed to the door. Oh dear god......

I collected my self the most I could, at this point I literally had no pride. I spun around to see Dominic. Great. Just great.

"What do you want?" I demanded. I attempted to act like this was all just normal, but it wasn't exactly working. My face began to grow more heated by the second. "I-I-I-I uh....uh...c-came....to uh.....ummmm....s-see you" he said awkwardly.

And the I heard Haikey from behind me chuckling "well you definitely saw something!" She laughed "Shut up!" I demanded, this was not funny!

"This must be uh....very....embarrassing for you" he said awkwardly rubbing his arm. Ahhhh no shit! I scowled at him "no...really....I didn't notice" I said crossing my arms, I felt violated.

He quickly took add his hoodie and passed it to me "here....ill pretended like nothing happened, I promise" he said. I smiled slightly, as I took the large hoodie and quickly covered myself "thank you".

Then as he turned around he noticed the broken door on the ground and laughed "did you do this?" He asked me chuckling. "SHE SCARED ME!" I said defensively.

"Why? What happend?" He asked laughing looking at Hailey while she hung her head low.
"....her dresses arrived" I said dryly in a mocking tone and he let out another laugh "of course they did, come on I'll escort you to your room...you probably don't want anyone else seeing you.....like this" I scoffed "and what's wrong with 'this'" I motioned to my body and he began to blush.

"N-nothing! I wasn't saying anything was wrong with it! It's amazing! I was just saying-" Hailey cut him off "Ooo so you think it's amazing?" She wiggled her eye brows while a chuckled. "Yes! I mean no! I mean...Ugghh!" We both laughed. "We're just playing with you Dom, relax" I laughed grabbing onto his arm.

"Okay, before I forget" Hailey said quickly handing me one of the large bags. I gave her a questionable look. "What is this?" I asked and she chuckled flipping her red hair over her shoulder "It's your dress!" She exclaimed.

"A dress?" I asked her and she nodded excitedly. I know she was being kind and thinking of me but I would be quite fine in my armour. "Thank you but-" she cut me off with her finger on my lips "no buts, I got it for you, it's a gift...you have to start to say thank you more instead of pushing everyone away" she said sadly. I didn't know what to say...I...I just don't like when people do things for me. Letting me live here is more than enough.

I just nodded and left with Dominic, we walked slowly down the hall way "why did you want to see me?" I asked, and he cleared his throat "I...wanted to say sorry about yesterday...it..wasn't like me to say that, and I shouldn't have" he said like a grown man. I smiled slightly, I wasn't use to seeing Dominic as being like a man...it was...cute.

"Your apology is accepted....as long, as you don't tell anyone about that..." I told him laughing, and he joined in "of course Lady Kathryn" he said Bowing once we came to my room. "Ew...don't call me that" I said jokingly.

He raised a brow, "why not?" He questioned fixing his hair. "Uhhhh because I sound old" I said in a 'duh' tone. "Of but of course Kat" I cringed at the name "ew, did you just attempt to give me a nickname?" I asked.

"Uhhhh no..." He trailed of awkwardly and I laughed shaking my head "okay well...I have to go...get changed...ill give you your hoodie back later okay?" I told him and he shrugged "you can keep it if you want" and I raised a brow "but then Dominic, how could you save a damsel in distress if it's cold? Or worse....raining" I joked.

"Well...what do you think my bed is for?" He said in a 'duh' tone and I laughed "smooth" I commented ". Only for the best" shot back as I closed my door.

Later on that day, Aphmau and her gang arrived. Together Ava, Ruben, Dominic and I decorated the towns square. Fairy lights hung from above and thanks to Amethyst a table full with delicious food was prepared. The tabled and chairs were set and of course there was room to dance. It was all most sunset, which means I would have to get dressed soon. As I thanked and said 'see you later' to everyone I headed to my room to get dressed.

Once I got into my room, the familiar and interesting bag laid on my bed taunting me. My curiosity built up in my as I waked over to the bad and opened it slowly. It was (thank god) a short dress, with purple flowery like lace pieces on it. It was elegant and all in all beautiful.

After slipping the dress on and tipping it up it fit like a glove. Spun around into a couple of times, even threw a couple high kicks in there for good measure.

Then I heard a knock at the door, "come in!" I shouted from the washroom.

"AHHHHHHHH!" I heard a fangirling scream come from behind me and I jumped and turned around to find Hailey in a silky black dress with cream frills coming from the bottom covering her mouth. She looked amazing "Does it look bad? I'll change" I said walking towards my cabinet. "NO! Don't change! You look gorgeous!" she shrieked. I smiled "thank you...you look jaw dropping as well" I told her.

"Thanks, so...am I gonna do your make up mad hair now?" She asked and I froze. Is she gonna do what and what now? "Repeat that?" I asked her. "Am I gonna do your make up and hair now" huh....that's what I thought she said....

"Uhhhh make up?" I squeaked, I didn't exactly like make up, I didn't hate it but I didn't like it either. "Yup!" She smiled as she took my hand and dragged me to my desk chair "time to do some magic" she smiled.

After 20minuts later or so I looked pretty damn good. I had a peach lip stick on, winged eyeliner, and mascara and then that's all I remember her telling me about anyway. My hair was tucked into a neat bun, But I sure as hell looked good.

Sometime after that Hailey was finished her own, with a smokey eye with winged eyeliner with a fancy bun.

"Let's go see the others" she smiled handing me a pair of heels. Now did I love dresses? No. Did I love make up? No. Did I love heels? Yes. I loved the damned things, they were amazing. You can stab someone's eyes out with the Heels while your legs are still looking hot. Best. Invention. Ever.

As we strutted our stuff down the hall way I could practically hear Katelyn's screams for help, once we got out side I saw Katelyn is the cutest baby blue dress. She looked really pretty. But she looked very pissed.

"Okay, Katie go see your little friend. I'm going to go speak with Aphmau, and we're going to start the part in 10minutes" Hailey said and I nodded my head in response and made my way over to Katelyn.

"Katelyn, you look gorgeous" I commented, "shut up, this is stupid" she snapped crossing her arms. Then she eyed me up and down "you look great" she commented still mad. "Listen....Katelyn, what if I told you my secret to high heel?" I asked her and she suddenly seemed to be paying attention. "I'm listening" she said.

"What if I told you that having heels makes it so much easier to kick someone right in the b-" I was cut off "you look amazing" I turned to find it was Nolan. I haven't seen him in a while.

"Thanks" I blushed lightly. He was wearing a classic black and white suit, with his hair all messy. "You look quite handsome your self" I commented sincerely.

"I try" he shrugged, and then suddenly I heard Hailey yell "Okay! Everyone! The party has officially begun!" I smiled and took Katelyn's hand in mine "let's go dance" I told her.

After about two hours of dancing, I began to notice that I didn't see Dominic yet. "Looking for someone?" Katelyn asked and I shook my head no. Everyone looked amazing. Aphmau was wearing a long purple dress, Ava was wearing a light pink dress that hugged every curve. Joyce was wearing a leather like dress that looked killer on her, Amethyst and her husband were matching which was super cute and Fredrick and Ethan look like true gentlemen as they spiked the punch.

But then suddenly, out of no where a hand went around my mouth and waist and I was pulled out of the crowd, I struggled to get out of the grasp, I kicked, yelled, punched but no use. I felt the urge to I guess 'Flame on' until I recognized the cologne. Dominic.

He finally let me down when we were away from the gates and into the Forrest. "What was that all about?" I snapped at him, and he shrugged "I was never one for party's....but I do like hanging out with you...so I thought we could have our own little party" he suggested. Uhhhhh no. No. That's creepy. Something is wrong here, this is creepy. This is not okay.

"Dominic this is really fuc-" I stopped mid sentence when he held up a box of donuts and Jack Daniel's. I grinned. "You know what? never mind, I like this little party thing, we should do this more often!" I exclaimed quickly snatching the bottle and climbing up into a tree. I sat down on a branch and threw my heels down.

"Come on up!" I said crossing my legs on the branch. I felt like Alice in wonderland, went she was laying in the tree. From up here I had a better view of Dominic. His hair was combed to perfection, his blue suit was stylish and cute. I had to admit, he looked good. It was only at this time did I remember I didn't have my fire proof suit on. Oh well, nothing's gonna happened on one night.

"Uh, I don't wanna" he whined, and I raised a brow "why is that? Can you not climb a tree?" I said jokingly. But then realized it was probably true, Dominic Bennett couldn't climb trees. "Pftttttt, of course I can climb trees, I am probably the best tree climber there is, I've always known how to climb trees" he blabbed.

After 5minutes or so Mr.Of course I can climb trees, finally made it at the top. After another 30minutes we where lost in conversation.

"Hey! Do you remember when Ethan tried to sell Fredrick" Dominic laughed, I barked with laughter almost falling out of the tree entirely. "Yeah! That was so funny! Didn't he like make his own shop and everything?" I asked giggling hopelessly. Annnnnnd that's what alcohol does to ya people!

"Hell yeah! He even said he was going to become a Traveling merchant just to sell his brother" he laughed.

And then we heard foot steps. We both froze and listened in quietly. I glanced over at Dominic and he put his finger on his lip motioning for me to be quiet. We watched as Nydia, ran past us in her pink dress. We gave each other a questioning look.

You should go follow her, find out what she's hiding, what she's doing. If it nothing you can leave.

I slowly and quietly hopped out of the tree and ran after her. Where was she going? What was she hiding? So many question ran through my head. I hopped over logs, twigs, rocks and more just to keep up. Where was she going? Then finally she came to a stop in open field. I was so confused. Why is she here? I looked behind me and Dominic was no where to be seen. Oh well, I guess I'm by myself.

"Why are you following me" she asked in a dry tone. It had no emotion, it was like it wasn't Nydia at all. "I wanted to see where you were going" I explained. "Well.....I don't believe that's any of your business" she said wrapping her hand around my neck.

I began to choke a bit, I knew I had two options. I could go all flame on and burn her or I could stay helpless much like right now. If I stay like this someone might come, but if I go flame on I could possibly burn the whole Forrest down. I didn't know what to do.

I struggled in her hold. I couldn't get out. Then she dropped me. Oh thank god! But then she gave me a good hit to the stomach. Four times. I stumbled back. I was beginning to get angry. I was trying to conceal it but it wasn't working. Soon enough, my hair fell from its bun and was in flames. It flickered on and off. I was trying to control it. I didn't want to hurt her.

Then I saw a man creep out from behind one of the trees. We made eye contact but once again another impact hit me. I was getting really pissed. Any longer and I won't be able to handle it. And then she struck me across my face. I felt every memory flash in my head. Everything. The feeling of the flames. My parents. The people chanting wanting them to die. The isolation in my room. The emptiness. And I snapped.
