"Hey guys!Guess what!IT'S MY FIVE HUNDREDTH VIDEO!"Mari C. smiled at the camera
"So,I wanted to tell you guys something.And no,there will be no face reveal"
She laughed
"I just wanted to tell you that I will be taking a short break from the media.I just want to rest.I have been experiencing a lot of difficulties lately."She glances to the side and takes in a deep breath
"But don't worry!My new fashion line is coming in a few weeks so watch out for that.Anyway,I'll come back soon.I just need a break.Je t'aime"
She blew a kiss at her camera and giggled.
"And...Cut!"Tikki exclaimed giggling
Marinette smiled and walked to the camera to save the video and turn it off.
"Are you sure you're taking a break after 500 videos?"Tikki asks
"Yeah"Mari smiles
"So,did you think about it?"Tikki asks
"The face reveal?"Marinette asks as she takes of her sunglasses with a key
Tikki hums and nods
"I think I'll let them suffer for a bit longer"Mari says and laughs
Tikki laughs as well
"I need to clear my head"Mari C. says taking off her glasses to avoid paparazzi.She was walking outside,only to see Shit Noir and Queen Bitch arguing.
She rolled her eyes and went back in the hotel.She didn't want to deal with this.
"I don't want you anymore!"Queen Bee exclaimed
"What?Why?"Chat was confused
"Because,you aren't needed!"Bee shouts
"You're getting rid of me?"Chat cried
"I don't need you!Now that the bug is gone because you all were really stupid"She laughs
"You should be too"
Chat was shocked and speechless
"WHY DO YOU HATE ME?!"She shouted for everyone to hear.She starts to cry and falls down.
Chat was confused until he saw a bunch of citizen shouting at him.Defending the Queen like a bunch of worker bees.He understood now.She used pity and sympathy to convince people that she is the good guy...bee...bitch.
"T-this is how Ladybug felt?"Chat asked himself.
He took a deep breath
"FINE!PROTECT THE CITY BY YOURSELF!"Chat exclaimed,running away.He got a glimpse of a familiar bluenette standing in her balcony,watching everything.
The crowd cheered and comforted the Queen.Alya shook her head.
"Another superhero gone"She sighed,but smiled as she saw Queen Bee happy.
Days later...
"Marinette,please talk to me!"Adrien pleaded.The two were in the park...alone.
"What do you want?Do you want to tease me?Do you want to torment me?WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!"She shouted at him.He has been following and chasing after her for a while now.
"I want you to stay put and listen!"He exclaims,grabbing her arm.Marinette tried pulling away,but despite her strength Adrien was stronger.
"I'm sorry,okay!I'm sorry that I ignored you!I just want you...I just want you to smile again"He pleads,she yanks her arm away from him.
"You don't deserve it"She growls as she walks away from him,hugging herself.
"I LOVE YOU!"
She freezes in her steps as tears continue to fall.
"I didn't know until you left, but I always loved you.That was why I was so protective over you,how I glared at every guy who tried to talk to you.I was confused so I tried to distract myself and I got carried away!I regret everything I did and now I just...I need you to forgive me!"He exclaims,tears coming into his eyes
She shakes her head,never again will she be affected by his charm and his fake confession.She runs away,while Adrien stands still and sighs.
A few months later...
"Is Mari C. ever going to come back to YouTube?"The reporter asks
"Ever since she posted the video saying she needed a break,fans all over the world have been freaking out.They are concerned if she's having any issues.She is-"
"Queen Bee fails in saving Paris.We need Ladybug and Chat Noir but,where are they?This i-"
"Mari C i-"
"Ladyb-"
"French model Adrien Agreste seems to have disappeared from the medi-"
"Tikki?"Marinette wakes the sleeping kwami up.
"Marinette"Tikki yawns,rubbing her eyes
"What time is it?"
"It's 8 o'clock in the morning"Marinette says
"What do you need?"Tikki stretched her arms
"Help me pack, please"Marinette says
"Where are we going?"Tikki floats to the middle of the hotel room
"Back home to America"She says
"When?"
"Tomorrow morning"
"Mari C. is going back to America, she announced on Twitter that she will be back
"Model Adrien Agreste is still incognito"
"Paris is still in trouble.It has been reported that superhero Queen Bee has abandoned the city after failing to defeat a villain when she kicked Ladybug and Chat Noir out.Alya Cesaire,creator of the (formerly Ladyblog) but now QueenBlog states,and I quote 'Ladybug and Chat noir,wherever you are.We're sorry,please help us!'end quote.What will become of Paris?Will the two former heroes forgive the people of Paris for doubting them?The villain has seemed to be hiding,Paris is afraid of what might become of the beautiful city when it returns"
"Tikki,should we help Paris?"Marinette asks,she was preparing to go back in America where there is No Queen Bee,No Old Classmates,No Drama,No Adrien,No Chat Noir.
"It's up to you,Marinette"Tikki says as they stare at the television screen.
They were horrified on what has become of Paris.Random citizens freezing,building burning for no reason.And that stupid Queen Bee though that she could take care of Paris!
Being a superhero isn't always about fame,it's about dedication to your partner and to your city.
To your partner...
Where was Chat Noir?
He didn't leave Paris.
"Where's Chat Noir?"Marinette asks herself
"He's probably still in Paris"Tikki answers
"Then why isn't he doing anything?"Marinette asks
"He can't do anything with out a partner.Without you"Tikki says looking at her,smiling.
"Tikki,let's help Paris"Marinette smiled
"Bye bye,little akuma!"Ladybug giggled as the pure butterfly flew away.
"I'll take this to Master Fu,now"She said ripping off Hawkmoth's brooch.
He slowly untransformed to reveal...
"Mr.Kubdel?"Ladybug was confused
He was knocked unconscious.
She frowned,he was a good man.
Ladybug and Chat Noir sat by each other on a roof over looking the people celebrating the superhero duo's achievement.
"Are you staying?"Chat asks
"No"Ladybug shakes her head
"Why not?"Chat asks confused
"Paris doesn't need me anymore"She says looking away
"Besides,they have you and Bee"
"Queen Bee abandoned Paris,I don't think the people will love her after that"Chat smiles
She giggles
"You know,I thought that she was going to come and take the credit when we finished fighting"Ladybug said
"Yeah,I was stupid for liking her"He sighs
"You're always stupid"She smiles,trying to cheer him up
He smiles
Awkward silence...
"I missed you"He says
"Oh,really?"Ladybug asks surprised
"We all did"
Ladybug smiles and pecks him on the cheek.
"Goodbye,Chat Noir"She jumps away and detransforms in an alley.
"Tikki,here are some cookies.I'll give you time to rest"Marinette says as Tikki flies in her purse.
Marinette walks around,feeling free without her sunglasses.She walks to the park, clutching her sketchbook.
What she didn't know was that a certain blond saw her.
Adrien follows Marinette to see her sitting on a bench.All alone
Purrfect...
"Is this seat taken?"He asks
She takes a deep breath and shakes her head.
"Leave me alone"She says
He sits beside her anyways and looks around.
"This place is beautiful"He says
She remains silent.He looks at her with guilt.
"Marinette,please talk to me"Adrien begs
"Look, I'm sorry"
She takes a deep breath and exhales a smile.
"It's not your fault"
Adrien sighs in relief, though he was confused
"What?"
"I understand, Queen Bee was kind of something."Marinette says
"I thought you were still mad at us, why are you suddenly so happy?"
"I felt that, if I leave Paris, might as well forgive everyone"She smiles
"I mustn't let the sun go down on my anger"
She looks over to the sunset.
"Do you still like us?"He asks
"I've never stopped"She smiles
"Where have you been all this time?"Adrien asks
"Keep a secret?"He nods
"I'm Mari C."
He smiles
"Aren't you shocked?"She asks,confused
"I've known ever since I watched your videos and read your interview like you told me to"He says
"How-"
"I could tell by the sound of your voice and your personality"He says
"But don't worry,I'll keep a secret Ladybug"
Marinette gasps
"How-"
"You already know"He smiles
She laughs
"So,you're Chat,then?"
He nods.
Silence embraces them as the sun has fully set.Stars slowly appear in the sky as they embrace the silence.
"So, you're going back to America?"
"Yeah, lots of things to do"She says
"When are you coming back?"
"I'm never coming back here,Adrien"She confesses, looking down at her sketchbook,carefully feeling the smooth paper.
"Why not, you aren't mad at us anymore. You could live here, we'll be great friends and hopefully be something more"He babbles
"Then we'll have our happily ever after!"
"Adrien, not everyone gets their happily ever after"She says as his eyes droop
"But, will we see each other again?"
"We'll see each other again if fate wants us to"She says
He envelopes her into a hug, they stay like that until her phone rings.
She lets go and sighs.
"I have to go, my planes leaves in 3 hours,I have to get to the airport"She says
"Bye, Adrien"
"Goodbye,Marinette"He says as he sees her walk away and fade into the dark night.
Epilogue
A few years later...
Adrien walked the streets of New York, he moved there to pursue a modeling and acting career.He had sunglasses on and a cream trench coat to hide his identity.
He was on the phone, talking to Nino,who is now a director of the movie Adrien is starring in.
"I know, dude...yeah...I don't know where Alya is...check the publisher building...thing...whatever...Oof!"Adrien grunts as he bumps into someone.
"I am so sorry"A woman says as she helps him up.
"It's okay"He smiles
She nods and walks away
Adrien continues walking.
"Sorry,Nino....yeah...whatever...Oof!"Adrien bumps into another person.He grumbles in frustration,how many people is he going to bump today?"
"Sorry"A female voice says
"It's okay"He says helping her up.They look at each other through their dark sunglasses.
"It was clearly fate"He says,taking off his sunglasses.
"I don't know who the fuck you are"She says
"Oh,sorry"
