"Nothing's gonna harm you..."Marinette sang as she drew in her sketch book.She sat on her rooftop balcony.This place was significant to her,it was were she had her first kiss as Marinette and guess what!That person was conscious unlike that time they fought Dark Cupid...
Well,her first kiss was Adrien...
Adrien...
Adrien Agreste...
Does he miss her?Or does he not care like everybody else?
She didn't know.
"Move on,Marinette.He doesn't care"She sighs,she takes off her sunglasses and places them inside her purse.
Marinette continues to sketch on her notebook,looking up at the sky and below at the streets for inspiration.
"I miss this place"Tikki says as she levitates beside Marinette with a cookie.
"I do too"Marinette smiles.
"Where could she be?"Nino mutters
"We checked everywhere!"Adrien exclaims
Alya rubbed her temples trying to remember a place where Marinette would be.But,she forgot because...well,you know why.
She grumbled
"I'm so stupid!"She fell on her knees on the grass
"Hey,you aren't stupid"Nino consoled her,kneeling down beside her
"We were best friends and I ignored her because she didn't like Queen Bee.Now I don't know where she is!I'm a horrible friend"She groaned
"Maybe,I'm not even a friend anymore"
Adrien looked at her with pity.
"Well,find her"Nino said
She blushed and smiled at him
"Thanks"
Adrien's eyes lit up.
"Guys!I know where Marinette is!"Adrien exclaims
"Where?!"Alya shouts
"On her rooftop balcony"He says pointing to the roof of the familiar bakery.They squinted their eyes and saw a familiar head of raven hair,leaning on the railing.
Nino and Alya grinned.
"Oh My God!"
The duo sneaked up to Marinette's old room and quietly crawled up the hatch.Nino decided to stay outside.
The two stood quietly in the balcony looking at a small figure leaning on the railings of the balcony,looking at the little people walking on the streets.
"Marinette?"Alya asks
The figure straightened up,her eyes wide.
They found her
She chose to ignore that name and pretend that she didn't know this "Marinette"
She was Mari C.
Marinette was dead to her.
"Marinette"The familiar voice said again
"I know it's you.Please turn around"
The figure stayed put.They left her,betrayed her,ignored her,hated her,there is no way she is going to run into her arms and scream 'OH MY GLOB!MAH BFF WHO BETRAYED ME BECAUSE I DONT LIKE SOME COCKY LAME SUPER WHATEVER!I MISSED YOU"
"Marinette,please turn around"Alya pleaded
Marinette stood still and didn't move an inch.
"Please,Marinette"She walked up to her and tried to grab her arm.When she was about to touch her,her arm was suddenly slapped away.
"Don't touch me!"Marinette hissed
Alya held her hand and stood there frozen.She gestured Adrien to give it a try.He hesitated before walking towards Marinette.
"Didn't I tell you to not touch me?"Marinette asked them,still not facing the two.
Adrien frowned
"Mari,We-"
"I didn't allow you to call me that"She hissed
"Marinette,look,we're sorry.We're sorry that we ignored you"Alya apologized
"Sorry,huh"Marinette sadly chuckled
"You expect all of this to be solved by a five letter word?Sorry?!"
Alya and Adrien stood there looking at the bluenette as she turned around,angrily.
"I have suffered for two years!No one would talk to me!No one would pay attention to me!And if you did notice me,all you would do was tease me and mock me!"She shouted
"Do you know how much that hurts?!"
She averted her gaze to Alya alone.Alya's eyes tears up as she noticed Marinette looking directly at her.
"And YOU!You were my best friend!And you left me just because I didn't like your lame super whatever!Marinette exclaimed
Alya opened her mouth to speak
"She isn't la-"
"Don't even try defending her!That's what brought you here in the first place and wouldn't you rather leave me like you did two years ago?!"Marinette asked
Alya looked down.Adrien placed his hand on Marinette's shoulder.She tensed and smacked his arm away.
"Marinette,I-"
"YOU!I can't believe I actually liked you!I regret being your friend!I regret giving you my lucky charm bracelet!I regret spending every moment thinking about you!"She cried
"I regret falling in love with you!"
There it was...
Marinette always dreamed of her confession to be magical,like something under the stars.They would walk in the park and they would talk on a blanket on the grass looking at the starts.And they would have their second loss,which hopefully won't be awkward(unlike the first one,but that's another story).But,instead...she got that.She couldn't believe that she confessed through her anger and tears,screaming at her so called "friends"
Alya stood there,watching.She too thought that her confession would have gone differently.
"I-"Adrien started
Marinette breathes heavily and looked at the ground.Tears fell on the floor.
"Get out"She commanded
"Marinette,please"Alya pleaded
"I said,GET OUT!"She commanded again,pointing her arm towards the hatch.
Alya and Adrien climbs down the balcony and went to the bakery.There they saw Nino talking to Marinette's mother.She turned around to see the two.
"So,you decide to come see my daughter to apologize to my daughter?"Sabine asked,unimpressed and disappointed
"How'd it go?Did she jump into your arms and squel?I bet she was really happy to see her 'friends'!"She said,sarcastically
They frowned and dragged Nino out of the bakery.
"I need to go home guys"Adrien says,Alya and Nino nodded
Adrien walked to his house,looking at the ground as he walked.
'Marinette like him?How could he not notice?Was that why she stuttered a lot?Was that why she was very nervous around him?'
He sighed
He funked up...they all did.
