7 Names And Trusting Dresses
"Hey, sorry!" I walked through my dorm room door and apologised to my roommate, who I'd just left for a day without an explanation.
"No problem, roomie!" Evan said cheerfully, jumping on his checked blue bed. "Just don't run off like that with your boyfriend. I'll never know what you've done."
The cocky boy in front of me wiggled his eyebrows indicating something dirty... And so I throw a cushion at him.
"We didn't do anything." I assured him sternly. "And don't call me that." I walked over to my bed on the other side of our room and flopped onto it.
"What, roomie?" Evan smirked. "If I don't call you that what do I call you?"
Just from the smirk on his face and the games his been playing, I could tell Evan and Nick had the same goal in life.
To annoy me.
So far they had been so alike. I'd known Nick less than a day before he stole my wave and broke my surf board. It's been a day since I first met Evan and his already started with the arrogant, cocky attitude.
Let's just hope I don't fall for him like I did for Nick.
"You call me Ash." I informed him. "That's my name."
"Actually, your names Ashely." He cocks up. "And your boyfriend calls you 'princess' last time I checked."
"And..."
"And," he picked up. "That's not your name. If he can call you what he wants, so can I."
Evan continued to smirk and I turned over on my bed, burying my face in my ocean blue pillow. "Please don't." I mumbled.
Nick already hated the fact I shared a room with a guy other than him, he would probably beat Evan up if he started to call me 'princess', like he calls me, or anything else.
Sounds extreme, but Nick gets jealous easily, not to mention his anger issues. He had already asked me to avoid Evan if possible.
Evan ignored my request and continued finding my new nick name.
"I think I'll call you..." He pondered on his words for a minuet, before being interrupted Joes entrance.
"Nothing." He stated. "You'll call her nothing but 'Ash'. That's her name and that's what you will call her, or I'm pretty sure her boyfriend will beat the crap out of you."
"Is that so? And who are you?" Evan got up and walked over to my best friend who stood in the door way, their blue eyes glaring at each other in a threatening manner.
"Her best friend," Joe started to count on his fingers. "His best friend, her best friends boyfriend, her best friends best friends. Do I need to carry on?"
"Nope. I don't need a lecture. Just do what you need to do and then scram so I can talk to 'Ash'." Evan spat, at his words and emphasised my name.
"Great." He gave a tight smile, before turning to me. "Ash, Nick needs help."
"I've known that for a while, Joe. But I'm not a professional. I can't help him." I told Joe, sarcastically.
"Ha, ha. My best friend is soooo funny." Joe ruffled my hair and looked down into my dark blue eyes with his baby blue ones. "Now help."
I was to tired to help. That includes everybody, even my boyfriend.
"Y'know, the last time I checked, I didn't say we were best friends." I said, trying to change the subject due to hold tired I was.
"Well I said so, so there." Joe stated to smirk.
"And what make us best friends?" I asked, keeping up the act.
"Matt, you, Nick, Ella and I, are always together. We tell each other everything, so much so Matt told us he was gay, in the strangest way possible." Joe and I laughed lightly, remembering the memory.
"And we would do anything for each other. We're best friends. Now help."
Joe shoved a light blue dress cover that I recognised from earlier with Nick. Inside was the same simple, yet beautiful black dress that we had picked out for his mum, Hazel.
I look at it with a weird expression. I had already tried this on and helped Nick choosing it. Why would I need to help with it again?
Joe notices my expression and starts to explain. "Oh, errm. Nick said, his mum wants to see the dress before she goes anywhere near it, since her son picked it out. So, Nick wants you to show it to her via Skype."
That sounded reasonable. I knew Nick and Hazel. It didn't surprise me that Hazel didn't trust her son with clothing. After all it was Nick.
"Ok, I'll be put in seconds." I rushed into the bathroom with the dress.
As I did so I hear Joe mutter something almost incoherent.
But not quite enough.
"Well that was easier than we thought."
What were they up to?
