Lynn's pov
"Honey I'm so proud of you!" My mom said through the phone. "I'll be looking for YouTube videos of you girls to watch."
"Aw thanks mom." I smiled. "Uh- How's thing there? With the Jacka$$?"
"Oh!" She said startled. "That's no way to talk about him Lynn, but he's been on business for the past week."
"Is he treating you right?"
"Let's talk about you dear." My mom changed the subject. "How's that Lewis kid you liked?"
"Louis is fine mom." I laughed.
"You know you don't need a boy to make you happy..."
"Well he make me happy." I smiled and butterflies filled my stomach. "He treats me right" I put emphasis on that last word.
"That's good dear. Well it's getting late so I'll let you go."
"Alright love you mom." I sighed.
"I love you to Lynny!"
I hung up the phone and stared at the stage. The boys were singing Kiss You at the moment.
My phone started buzzing again at Louis's part. I sighed but took it back when I read the name.
My eyes widened at who it was and I answered it immediately.
"Der!"
"Lynn!" He replied.
"I can't tell you how happy I am to talk to you!" I exclaimed.
"Same with you! I found a livestream of the show. You were incredible. All of you guys were!"
"Thanks Der! How are you?" I asked. "You haven't you know..."
"No." He replied right away. "Not since that last time."
"Good." I smiled. About a six months after Derek and I befriended each other I found out he had bad depression and would drink away his feelings.
When he said last time, he meant what happen last October. Last October was the 2 year anniversary of when Derek's ex Sarah died of a brain tumor. They were together for three years.
He couldn't handle it so he practically drank himself to death. Crashed his car in a telephone pole and had bad alcohol poisoning. He claims he hasn't drank since and it was sometimes hard to believe him.
His parents tried getting him help but the therapist said his case wasn't to bad to put him in rehab, which I disagreed.
He takes low grade antidepressants.
"Well that's good." I continued. "Have you been keeping tabs on my mom?"
"Yeah. That dirtball just gets worse Lynn." He said sadly.
"She said he's out of town."
"He's not. Heard glass shattering and screaming last night."
"So she lied again." I said.
"I'm sorry Lynn. I can call the cops."
"No please don't. She'll lie. Just keep me updated."
"Of course."
"I got to go Der. Getting towards the end of the concert."
"I understand. Be safe."
"You too" I said and hung up.
"How was Der Bear?" Madison came up and asked me. Those two became instant friends but acted like brother and sister. She scolded him whenever he did anything wrong but made up right away.
"He's good" I smiled. I'd be lying if I said I didn't use to have a crush on Derek. Key word use.
I mean....no...uh yeah use to.
"And your mom?"
"Still a slave to that bastard." I sighed. "I'm on the other side of the world and you'd thing I'd get away from that stuff. But I only worry more and more."
"He can't hurt you here Lynn" Mads said.
Physically no. Mentally yes. I thought.
"Hey Mads I found this cute boy in the crowd! Come check him out! Wait he's leaving! Nope never mind! Hurry!" Emmy shouted.
"Talk to me later k?" Mads asked me.
"Of course," I told my best friend.
I stood to the side of the stage and admired the boys. All my attention was focused on Louis.
"He's hot isn't he?" Said a long brown-haired girl with a highish English accent.
"Who?" I asked, breaking my train of thought.
"Louis of course! Saw you staring. I'm Eleanor by the way." She said.

Now I know this girl! The Internet broke when her and Louis were caught on a date months ago.
I remembered because I cried at home for hours and watched fetus videos of the boys on XFactor.
That relationship didn't make it past the first date Harry told me quite recently.
"Saw the end of your performance." She said. "You guys did...uh nice. I've seen better like my little cousins school spring concert, but you're not awful."
"Thanks," I replied dryly. This bîtch wasn't gonna get past me. "So what are you doing here?" I asked with a hint of annoyance in my voice.
"To see Louis of course."
"I thought your relationship was done. Just like I am with you." I said.
"Oh ouch." Eleanor said sarcastically. "My feelings."
"Suck it up buttercup. They come and go and now it's your turn to leave."
"Wow the American whøre can comeback with something a second grader would say. So proud!" She sneered.
"Ok side bītch. When I need a beard, I'll know who to call." Her face turned beat red when I said that.
"Sorry ma'am but you're causing a disturbance with the crowd, so I have to ask you to leave." One of the security walked up and said to Eleanor.
"What?! I'm not even on the stage. They can't even see me!" She cried but was already being escorted out. "Oh I'll ruin you, you-you-"
"K bye bïtçh." I waved. "Thanks." I said to the guard."
"Anytime. Didn't want my daughters favorite ship, I think you kids call it, to sink."
I smiled and directed my attention back to my guy, with a sense of victory inside me.
Emmys pov
The lights went out on stage signaling that the concert was over. I was anxious to know what Niall wanted to tell me.
I had a feeling of what he was gonna tell me. I mean this story isn't all cliché.
I also know my answer to what in going to say to him. I mean who wouldn't say yes to being the girlfriend of Niall Horan. The nicest guy I ever met.
"You got this Emmy! Whoop whoop! Nothing can stop ya now" I gave myself a pep talk.
The boys ran off the stage and the crew gathered to congratulate them.
They took some pictures with fans backstage and talked a bit with them.
Niall made eye contact with me when he was done and smiled. He had just gotten his braces off and his teeth looked like they came from the gods.
"Let's to the roof," he said. Totally not cliché at all.
Pshhhhh
As we walked up the stairs, my heart was beating faster and faster.
Let's do this!
"What?" Niall asked.
"Haha uh nothing." I smiled sheepishly. When we were up there, the view was amazing.
"I tried to make it less cliché as possible, but you know..."
"It's perfect." I said. My breathe was taken away. I didn't care how cliché it was.
I could see Big Ben and the London Eye and the whole city was lit up. I could heard the faint sound of cars honking and police sirens going off.
"Wow" I said, "it doesn't get more cliché than this."
Niall laughed, "I try."
"I know" I smiled.
"So I think you know why I did this. Right?" He asked.
"I think I can take a guess."
"Well I wanna talk to you first. There's so much about you Em. From the way you-"
I was lost in his words. I always imagined this in my mind but never thought of it as a reality.
I closed my eyes for a second, and I gasped when I opened them.
I was no longer staring at Niall, but at the face of Austin. I felt the air leaving my lungs and panic fill inside me.
"So what do you say?" All I heard was Austin's voice. It echoed and rang in my ears. "Will you be my girl-"
"No."
"What? Emmy I thought-"
"I said no!" My voice was strained.
This can't be real. I squeezed my eyes shut and I still saw Austin when I opened them.
"I-" He began but I started walking away.
I was shaking my head. Wasn't Niall there with me?
I turned back around before I got to the door and my mind was going in a million directions.
There was Niall where I last saw him. What's going on?
How do I make this right? What did I just do? What did I just see?
I wanted to say something, but I didn't know what to say. How do you explain that?
I turn back around and walked away. I don't even know if I was making the right decision.
This was only going to get worse.
Nicole's pov
"That was great!" I cheered as I went to hug Liam. "You don't realize how amazing that was!"
"I wouldn't go that far." He laughed softly. "I think someone else pulled it off even better..."
"Be quiet!" I laughed.
"Why? I was talking about Niall." Liam joked.
"So what do you guys normally do after concerts?" I asked.
"Sometimes back to the hotel, sometimes clubbing, partying, whatever everyone wants to do."
"Well where is everyone?"
"Well there's Harry and Zayn." Liam pointed to the sound booths behind the stage. "Louis went to the dressing room to grab our phones and Niall having his big moment right now."
"Emmy hasn't had the best experiences with boys before." I said. I wasn't there for the Austin incident years ago but I was told enough that I could of been there.
Speaking of Emmy and Niall, Emmy ran right past us.
"Em wait!" I called out but I guess she didn't hear.
"Thought her and Niall were together professing their undying love for one another." Liam said.
"Me too... Hey Li, I'll be right back." I said and he got the memo. I ran after Emmy.
I found her in the dressing room running around and grabbing her things.
"What's going on? Aren't you suppose to be with-"
"Don't wanna talk about it Nic." She said abruptly.
"I thought-"
"I said I don't wanna talk about it!" This was new. She never snapped like this.
"Well ok...we're gonna go to a local club to celebrate. You wanna come?"
"I can't. I gotta go."
"Go where? Em you're not ok. Whatever happened-"
"I'll be back before the next concert. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. I got to go."
"Em-"
"Sorry Nic." She said and left the room.
I tried following her but by the time I got to the door, she was already out of sight.
I walked back to see Liam and Niall talking but Niall seemed really upset.
"Someone tell me what's going on." I went up to them.
"That's what I wanna know!" Niall exclaimed and I flinched.
"Tell Nicole what you told me Ni." Niall did and it was all confusing. None of that sounded at all like Emmy.
"She just left." I said. "I don't know where she is, but she left. We need to go after her."
"She'll be back." Liam reassured. "We just need to give her some space."
"Not too long." I said. "We have a concert in three days."
"When are we gonna go out?" Louis called out.
"I need a drink....or eight" Niall mumbled.
"Then let's get to it!" Liam said and we headed to the back of the building to catch a ride. "You gonna be alright love?" He asked me.
"Yeah. Just worried you know?"
"Everything will work in the end." He smiled. "Everything happens for a reason. She'll be fine."
I didn't reply to that but I knew he was right. It'll all be ok....
Eventually
