4. Little Things
Two Days Later
Emmy's pov
All of us were at Nicole's house getting ready for our meeting today. We were all as nervous as crap. my palms were sweaty and my hands were shaky.
I can't tell you how many times that I stabbed myself in the eye with mascara. When I told my parents about what was going to happen today, let's say that they weren't too happy...
My mom and dad said that I was wasting my time and ruining my future. They wanted me to become a doctor or a lawyer of some sorts. Lets say out of hours of fighting and arguing, I got what I wanted.
I told them that I didn't know what was happening yet, but no mater what I will make them proud and prove my potential and blah blah blah, which finally shut them up.
I wasn't the only one who was having trouble though. Lynn was in the same boat. Her mom supported her, but her dad was another story...
Let's just say that when she came to Madison's house at 2am crying all of us knew the possibilities of what happened.
Nicoles adopted family supported her. After all that she's been through, they just want her to be happy.
Madison's parents weren't in town so they couldn't really discuss it, but it's not like they would really care to begin with since they're never around, well except her mom, who's home about two times a week and every other Sunday, which is way more than their dad. Her older sister and brother are the real ones that are in charge.
Ha ha I guess all of our lives are pretty messed up, but it doesn't effect us too bad. We make the best of if by being with each other and doing what we love best, which is singing.
The tension was really tight in the car. We were all nervous an the quietness didn't help. I was sitting in the passenger seat as Nicole drove and I reached over and turned on the radio. I smiled when I realized what song had came on, so I started to sing along.
[Me:]

I looked at Madison and gestured for her to sing.
[Madison:]

We all smiled as the song finished out.
"Hey" I began, "Whatever happens, we'll still have each other. This is because of all of us and we don't need to worry, because we will stick together"
All of the sudden I heard a phone buzz. Maddie picked up her phone and frowned.
"You ok Mads?" I asked.
"Uh y-yeah it's just Ron and stuff" she replied.
"What did he say about all of this?" Lynn asked. Maddie looked at Nicole and gave her this look that I couldn't really understand but Nicole nodded at her.
"Um well you know... he wasn't very happy at first, but that's just because he was afraid of loosing me." She said while looking at the ground. I knew right away that not everything that she said was true, but now is not the time to talk about it since we have this meeting.
Ron was really sweet and charming when him and Maddie first started going out, but he's changed. He gets all weird or jealous whenever she's around us or anyone else. She doesn't like talking about him very much but when she does, I can't always believe all of it.
I mean he can be a really good boyfriend and they look cute together, but I know that something is wrong. I wish that Maddie trusts us enough to tell us, but I guess that she's not ready to.
The car pulled up to the building that we were meeting the boys at. I took a deep breath and said out loud,
"Well here's where our life changes guys."
