Prologue

Madison's pov
"Come on Mads it'll be fun!" My best friend Lynn begged.
"I need to study and besides I'm bad at singing" I said.
"Quit lying to yourself! Besides I heard that it's the best karaoke club around,"
"I don't want people to know who I am"
"It's a club, so it's going to be dark"
"We're not even old enough"
"Emmy's got the fake ideas"
"What if we get caught?"
"We won't I swear" Lynn promised.
"I don't know..."
"Madison please just this one time have some fun in your life. I know deep down you want to say yes"
"Ugh fine!" I gave in.
"Yay I'll call Emmy and Nicole!" Lynn cheered. "Get ready because we leave in an hour"
I groaned and put my laptop down. I got dressed and no less than an hour later Emmy and Nicole showed up in Emmy's black Suburban.
It was a twenty minute drive to the club.
"This was a mistake" I said nervously.
"Everything's gonna be fine Mads" Emmy reassured.
"Don't stress" Nicole said. "This is going to be so much fun." We pulled up to the club. We showed the very convincing ID's to the bouncer who just let us in without a second glance. When we got inside Lynn walked to the DJ.
"ITS SO LOUD" I shouted
"WHAT" Emmy asked and I laughed. Lynn walked back to us.
"I CONVINCED THE DJ TO LET US GO NEXT" She practically screamed.
"WHAT SONG?" I asked
"YOULL SEE WHEN THE MUSIC PLAYS" she said. We listened to the people in front of us sing 'Tinder' and I started to get even more nervous as the song went on. I was trying to calm myself down when Emmy shouted in my ear,
"WERE ON"
We made our way to the stage and as we got our microphones Lynn said
"Sing the parts that we normally sing in the car" The music started to play and I instantly started smiling. I looked at Lynn and she mouthed 'You're welcome". We were all die-hard One Direction fans so I know this song forwards and backwards.

The crowd was screaming and clapping so loud right now. My ears were ringing and I was smiling like an idiot.
"THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN" I shouted.
"TOLD YOU SO" Lynn shouted back.
This is probably one of the greatest moments I'll remember the most about my friends. We were all pretty close. I've known Lynn since I was born. We met Emmy in sixth grade and Nicole in eighth grade.
Lynn and I could almost pass as sisters. She was about 5'8, blonde, pale, with brown eyes. She's one of the loyalist people that you'll ever meet in you life. I remember that back in fifth I was getting picked on by this girl Lucy and when Lynn found out- uh lets just say that she was suspended for week and Lucy never picked on me again. Our parents were best friends back in school. She practically is my sister.
Emmy is one of the sweetest people that you'll ever know. Lynn and I were her best friends when she moved here from Scotland. We live in California by the way. Emmy's 5'5, brown hair, brown eyes, and has tan skin.
Nicole is the newest addition to our group. She's the sassy, edgy, rebel type, but she's really nice once you get to know her. She has black hair with streaks of pink, purple, blue, and green in her hair. She's somewhere around 5'6 She has a small nose piercing and a tattoo on her shoulder which her parents weren't to fond of, but she was expressing her originality.
I on the other hand, don't really know how to describe myself. I'm around 5'6-5'7, pale with light freckles across my nose and cheeks. Light blonde hair, with blue eyes. I can be shy, but also very outgoing.
My friends mean the world to me, and even though we're different in our ways, nothing can come between us.
Or at least I thought so any way...
A/N: this is just a first glimpse at this book. I won't be updating for a while, because my main priority is the UKs Most Wanted.
