Chapter 65
Lauren's POV
"No!! That not fair! I should have won that!" Camila shouted to Dinah who had just beat her at a game of Mario Kart on the old Wii console we have plugged into the TV. Before the game had started both Camila and Dinah was bragging about how good they are at this game and the only way to settle the friendly argument was to watch them race each other. They was pretty much neck and neck throughout the whole race both constantly overtaking each other every so often, on the last lap Camz had got a good gap between her and Dinah and we all thought she was going to win, that was until the dreaded blue shell came flying out of no where on the last corner causing Camila's car to fly off the track allowing Dinah to fly past her and win the race. We all laughed in amusement as Dinah went over the line and Camila stood up in anger and threw the remote onto the sofa only making us laugh at her more.
"I officially hate this game!" she shouted and slumped back into the seat like a child.
"I think you did great, babe" I told her and sat on the vacant seat next to her and put my arm over her shoulder.
"Oh you would do" Dinah commented raising an eyebrow and looked at us both. "Want another game Mila?" She said in a mocking tone.
"Ha, no, fuck you" She replied with a playful glare.
"Ouch!" Dinah replied and placed her hand on her heart as though Camila had deeply offended her, she grabbed the remote that Camila had thrown onto the sofa and threw it to Ally who wanted to have a go next.

We all watched the game on the TV as Dinah had beat both Ally and Normani at least twice as well as everyone else on the bus. All of them eventually had given up and Camila was still annoyed at the fact she was hit by the blue shell, but Dinah was on a roll and wanted to play against someone else. We all told her to play against the computers but she was adamant that she played against someone real, she then looked at me and realised that she hadn't played against me yet, she had her signature smirk as she looked at me but I shook my head.
"No, no I'm not playing it, I was crap the very first time I played it so I'm not going to be any better now" I told her
"That's even better, I'm definitely going to win again" she said and passed me the controller. I still shook my head and said I wasn't going to play but everyone started cheering me on so in the end I agreed to playing.
The game started and I wasn't doing too bad, I was in a respectable 4th place at the end of the first lap but of course Dinah was 1st. At the end of the second lap I was in second place only a small gap behind Dinah, I picked up a bonus box and got a red shell, she looked over to my side of the screen as saw what I had
"Don't you dear Lauren!" she shouted from across the bus.
"Do it Lauren!" Camila shouted back so of course I did, I threw the red shell and it hit the back of Dinah's car and knocked her off the track.
"No! As if you just did that!" She groaned, she knew there was no way she would win now unless a a blue shell came out of no where and hit me just like it did with Camila. Everyone was cheering me on as I drove the last straight and passed the line with Dinah only slightly behind.
"I thought you said you was crap at this?" Normani laughed
"I thought I was, every time I've played it in the past I've come close to last" I chuckled as I saw a unimpressed looking Dinah sat across from me.
"Lets turn this off now" she mumbled
"Oh you're such a spoil sport" Camila mocked
"You're one to talk, you quit after one race" She stated in her mocking tone.
"Break it up girls" Ally giggled "Can we watch some TV now or something? she asked, Big Rob was the only one who had kept track of the time and told us that it was already nearly 3am but we begged him to watch one episode of 'Friends' as this is Camila's favourite show. Everyone else in the bus went to their bunks leaving us 5 and Rob, he finally agreed and said one episode but after that the lights need to be out and we need to be in our bunks because we need to be on the plane in the morning. I was glad that he reminded us that otherwise we would have probably stayed up all night but I hated the fact that it reminded me that Camila wouldn't be with us on the next flight or for the next 3 months. I tried to shift the thought off my mind while we watched TV so I kept my focus on the screen and listened to Camila literally speak all of the lines and laugh at the parts she found funny. Her laugh made me smile, she was laughing at the little parts no one found funny and that is what made her, her. We had ended up the two of us sprawled out on the sofa, our legs tangled around each other and my arms wrapped around her, to be fair it was pretty comfy even if it didn't look like it.
Eventually the episode ended and she tried to convince Big Rob to let us watch another episode but Ally and Dinah had already gone back to their bunks once it ended and Mani followed close behind once she eventually got out of her blanket cocoon.
"Come on Camz, I think Big Rob wants to go to sleep, he looks tired" I said and pointed towards where he was sat. He had his head propped up on his hand and his eyes were slowly closing.
"Fineeee" she whined in defeat "But only if I can sleep in your bunk tonight" she said and trailed her finger up my arm gently sending shivers through me.
"I guess you can"I teased
"You guess?" She asked with a smirk and looked me directly in the eyes
"You Camila Cabello may sleep in my bunk tonight" I finally said, she planted a thank you kiss on my lips and ran to my bunk so she could claim the side of the bunk where she doesn't have the chance of rolling out. I got in the bunk right behind her once I had tied my hair up and she immediately wrapped her arms around me. She snuggled to me as close as possible and rested her head in the crook of my neck which caused me to sigh deeply.
"I'm going to miss this" I told her
"Don't, please don't" she said quickly
"You don't know how bad I feel for leaving you and the girls. It literately keeps me up at night so please don't make it any harder. I will be back before you know it" She admitted with a crack in her voice
"Okay, I'm sorry" I apologized quietly, we lay in silence but I knew she was still awake because she was still drawing soft lines on the top of my arm. She must have thought I was had fell asleep because I heard her sniffle and I felt her tears falling onto my back.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked concerned and rolled over quickly so I was facing her. She grabbed the blanket that was on top of us and hid her face with it so I couldn't see her.
"Camz" I said softly and gently pulled the blanket from her face and looked at her beautiful face which were covered in tears. She didn't say anything so neither did I, I just held her close and gave her the comfort she needed for the moment while she sobbed into my arms drenching my pyjama top. She must have been crying for at least 10 minutes non stop and of course this made the tears I had been holding back all night start to fall down my face, we was both a mess but in this moment we had each other to hold onto.
"Im sorry" She finally mumbled, I pulled away and she did too so we could both see each others tear stained face.
"Don't be" I said calmly "I was starting to worry because you wasn't crying, I thought you was fine with leaving me for 3 months" I laughed through my tears
"I would cry if I was leaving you for a day, stupid" She admitted
"I must admit so would I" I agreed, we both laughed at each other and she pulled me into a kiss. All I could taste was our salty tears but I didn't care, I kissed her back and brought my hand up to her face and rubbed my thumb against her cheek.
"Stop crying now, it's all gonna be okay" I reassured her even if I was still crying myself.
"I'm so tired Lo" She said and closed her tired eyes
"Me too don't worry, here turn over" I told her, she did as I said and I wrapped my legs over hers and my arms around her waist, this was how we fell asleep most nights but tonight we felt closer, both emotionally and physically even if we was already as close as we cold possibly get.
"I love you" she muttered out tiredly
"I love you too" I responded and closed my eyes, it must have been about 4:30am by now and I knew I was going to regret this the next day but I didn't care, tonight was amazing and we all enjoyed every single moment of it, Camila deserved it.
Eventually, I heard her soft breathing and this told me she had finally fell asleep so this was my signal to go to sleep also.

I fell asleep almost straight away as soon as I heard Camila sleeping, I couldn't sleep till I knew she was just in case she started crying again. I didn't wake up till about 8:30, and I felt the cold sheets next to me, I wondered where she had gone but then I heard her little giggle from the main room. I got out of my bunk and straightened up the blankets and made my way into main living area to see that all the other girls were already showered and are now eating their breakfast
"Lauren" Ally shouted from the kitchen area, "I've tried out my new waffle machine and I've got some mixture left, would you like me to make you some?" she asked me
"Sure thing, thank you" I replied and went to sit near Normani at the table. I looked across at Camila who was wolfing down a plate full of waffles with nutella and a banana chopped on top.
"Is that good?" I asked her, she looked up at me and I saw that she had nutella all around her mouth
"Hell yes it is" she said with her mouthful
"It's all around your mouth babe" I told her with a laugh
"Well what does that tell you?" she replied
"That it sure is good" I said and she nodded her head and continued to eat.
A few moments later Ally came over with another plate full of waffles for me and on the table was a range of different sauces, spreads and fruit. I just stuck with the nutella considering it was my favourite. Man, I can see why Camila had it all around her mouth because these sure are good.
"Oh my god Ally, these are amazing!" I shouted to her
"Thank you!" She shouted back and came to sit down with her own plate.
We were all in silence while we finished off the remaining waffles and before we knew it we had half an hour before we had to be at the air port so I had a quick shower where I tried to mentally prepare myself for later on.
"Lauren, hurry up" Dinah shouted
"I just need to put my clothes on!" I shouted back to her
"We will have a slow walk up to the front of the airport!" She informed me
"Okay" I said while I tried to pull my sock on while brushing my teeth. 5 minutes later and I was done, I grabbed my shoes from the back of the bus and I saw Camila waiting for me at the door.
"You didn't have to wait for me" I told her"
"I wanted to, and I wanted to give you something" she told me and held out a cute little bear with a miniature necklace around it.
"I saw them the other day so I bought us both one. I'm gonna keep mine on my bedside table so you'll always be next to me when I'm sleeping" she said with a sad smile and looked at the bear she was passing over to me.
"Awww camz, you didn't have to get me anything, I should've been the one to get you something I just haven't had a lot of time" I confessed
"Just take it and shut up" she said passing me the bare. I held it up to my face to look at the little necklace
'Camz' was engraved into it
"Mine says "Lolo"" she said with w sad smile, I could see she was holding back some tears I leaned in a kissed her softly on the lips for a moment to let the tears pass.
"I will cherish it forever babe" I said
"Come on let's catch up with the other girls" I said as I took her hand and left the bus.

We finally caught up with the other girls and the main entrance to the airport, they all had their suitcases and thankfully Big Rob had mine and Camila's, we thanked him for carrying our things and then stood next to the other 3 girls so say out goodbyes to Camila because our plane was due to be leaving in half an hour. Camila on the other hand would have to wait another hour for hers back to Miami.
"I can't believe we're not going to see you for 3 months" Ally said and wiped the tear that had just left her eye
"I will be back before you know it" she said and gave Ally a big hug
"Keep being the sunshine you are" my girlfriend said to her which made her chuckle through her tears
"Mani, come here" she said as she saw her also wiping the tears away from her eyes.
"You don't know how much I'm gonna miss you Mila, especially you and your banana's" she said as they hugged
"I will make sure I send you lots of snapchats of me eating my daily banana's don't worry" she replied after the hug was broken. She turned round to see Dinah stood behind her, they didn't say anything and they just hugged, both of them crying.
"Promise me you will keep me updated on any pranks you do on these girls" Camila finally spoke
"Of course I will" she said smiling as they pulled away and laughed
"Make sure she doesn't get into too much trouble" she warned everyone else.
Next it was my turn to say goodbye.
I opened up my arms and she fell straight into them. We stood for what seemed like hours but was actually seconds. I held onto her so tight, I didn't want to let her go at all. She can't leave, not just yet anyway.
"I love you so much Lo" she said as she broke the hug and went in for a kiss.
"I love you too" I replied in between the kisses. I was going to miss this. I heard the other girls sniffling behind us and then I realised I should probably go now.
I broke the kiss and gave her a final quick peck. We looked into each other's teary eyes and smiled
"Promise to call me everyday" I said
"I promise"
"I guess this is goodbye for now" I said as my voice cracked
"It's not goodbye, just a see you later" she reminded me. I gave her another soft smile and then motioned for the other girls to join in a group hug. We were all crying but none of us cared now much of a mess we looked.
"Guys you need to go, your flight is in like 10 minute" Camila reminded us. We all nodded in agreement, and had a final individual hug with Camila.
"Goodbye guys, stay safe!" She shouted as we started walking away. I could feel my heart breaking even more with every step j took further away from her. It's only 3 months I told myself, she will be by my side before I know it.
I placed my suitcase onto the conveyor belt and looked down and the little bear I still had in my hand.
"I love you" I whispered to the bear not that it would say I love you back or anything.
I heard her loudspeaker say that our plane was to be leaving in 5 minutes so I slowly followed the girls through the door. Before I could show my passport I heard my name being shouted
"Lauren! Wait!" I knew straight away that it was Camila. I looked behind me and saw her running to me. She collided with me and wrapped her arms around me, again I could feel her tears falling onto my shoulder.
"I can't leave you, Lo. I'm going to miss you too much" she cried out. I tried to speak but I couldn't say anything, all I could do was cry. We both sobbed into each other's shoulders until the woman said I had to get on the plane.
"I love you so so much Lauren" Camila told me as I pulled away from the hug.
"I love you too Camila, don't worry I will see you in 3 months. I promise!" I said trying to reassure her
"Goodbye babe" she said as my passport was checked.
"No, See you later" I reminded her.
"See you later" she repeated with a smile. We had one final kiss and I had to go. I walked past the woman who checked my passport and before I got to the corner I looked behind me to see Camila still there waiting till she could no longer see me. I waved to her and blew a kiss with my free hand and she pretended to catch it, as cheesy as it sounds it still made my heart skip a beat. I looked away and continued to walk, and the tears still rolled down my face. This was going to be the longest and hardest 3 months of my life.

Damn, 2 updates in 2 days and one that's over 3000 words. I feel proud! Sorry for the sad chapter😭
