Amy
Amy rose! What a brilliant thought of character... but WAY overrated. I guess I'm kinda iffy on this character, as there are somethings that adore about the hedgehog, and something's that make me want to rip her head off. So, let us commence in the likes and dislikes, shall we?
Likes:
1. Her spunk and attitude. This is one of those things that I love and hate about her. I absolutely adore her perseverance in all things (including perusing her love interest, Sonic).
2. Her design is adorable! It's cute and girly, along with the awesome hammer!
3. When she needs to get down to business, she totally does. She can kick some major butt if she needs to, and I absolutely love that about her. Girl power!
4. She is outgoing and absolutely ridiculous. Sure, this can be annoying at times, but it just adds to the humor in the games.
Dislikes:
1. Her voice. I'm not dissing on her Boom voice actress, but it sounds like Minnie Mouse sometimes! Cindy Robinson is a good voice actress, I just dislike the way she plays Amy's voice. No harm meant to be ensued.
2. Her CONSTANT obsession with Sonic. Yes, I do ship Sonamy, but her drives and motivates towards winning his heart ARE NOT WORKING. I like how her Boom romance with Sonic is, and how she isn't a crazy fan girl there.
3. The fans treat her like a GODDESS. This is only one character come on guys. People constantly diss other female characters like Sally and Rouge by comparing them to Amy. Amy fans tend to blur out all of Amy's flaws and make her the prettiest, kindest, most loved female protagonist throughout the series. She is honestly the most shipped girl character throughout the franchise and it's getting to a point where they need to take her off the pedestal and give a little more respect to some of the other girls. Wow, that was a long rant.
4. She can be quite annoying at times, and constantly goes on rage mode when things go awry. People say Sally needs saving often, but look at Amy! Sonic always has to save her from whatever shenanigan she's gotten herself into this time. And thing Sally haters use to promote Amy's "kind" spirit is saying that Sally "abused" Sonic by slapping him. There are plenty of examples in which Amy hit Sonic with her Piko Piko hammer.
So in conclusion I rate Amy Rose a 5/10 😰
