The Brothers II: Release Date
A couple weeks go by, and Kash, the girls, Aaliyah and CJ find themselves in Atlanta for the weekend. As Aaliyah promised, she'd go to the dance competition, and she also agreed to drop CJ off at her parent house so they could see him since its been a while. Despite what went on between her and her parents, CJ didn't let it effect his relationship with them. He kept in touch with Colin's mother, as well as Aaliyah's mother and father, so he was excited to see them.
"You sure you don't wanna eat lunch with me, Kash and the girls?" Aaliyah asks CJ.
"Yeah I'm sure. I just wanna hang out with grandma and grandpa."
"Okay."
They leave the hotel and get to a place she hasn't been in a while, her parents house.
"I'll never get over how big their house is. Like I know our house is kinda big, but still. Aren't you the only child?"
"Yeah."
"Then why all this space?"
"You gotta ask them that. Alright be on your best behavior."
"You're not gonna come in?"
"When I come back." She was in no rush to see them just yet. "I'm already running late for lunch."
"Okay. I love you."
"I love you more." She waits until he walks inside, then tells the driver to leave. She meets up with Kash and the girls at a restaurant of Kash's choice.
"Where's collie??" Ariyah asks.
"He went with my parents, but you'll get to see him later on today."
"How'd it go with them?"
"I didn't get out the car. I told CJ I was running late."
"We would have been fine waiting." Kash says.
"I didn't want to be rude."
"Yeah, right." Kash says sarcastically. "You really need to talk to them. Only communication you have with them is when you agree to let CJ go visit...and he does most of the talking, I'm sure."
"He does." Aaliyah sighs. "I'm going to talk to them. Just gotta prepare for the shit talkin and the I told you so."
"It's gonna be okay."

While Aaliyah's out having lunch, CJ enjoys the time with his grandparents, or at least that's what he planned. A few minutes after he walks in the door, he heads out with his grandfather, Isaac, to the neighborhood golf course.
"You play golf Colin?"
"A little. I go with my uncle sometimes, but he hasn't gone lately."
"You any good?"
"Yeah, I'm alright."
"Okay..lets see what you got. First swing is all yours."
"Alright." CJ says confidently. He picks out a club and ball from his grandfathers bag. He sets it on the tee and goes into focus mode. He takes his swing and the ball goes flying.
Isaac admires swing. "Not bad. Not bad at all."
"Thanks." After his grandfathers swing, they hope in the golf cart to ride towards where their balls went.
"So how is everything?"
"Everything's straight grandpa."
"Straight?"
"It's good grandpa." CJ says, chuckling.
"Yeah? How's the grades looking?"
"They're good. All As right now. I'm trying to keep it that way."
"That's good. Keep those grades up, you can get into a good college."
"Yeah, I know."
"You know what you want to be?"
"I don't know. I was thinking maybe do why my dad did and own stuff...maybe even take truth off his hands. Ya know, continue the legacy he started."
"CJ...I want you to be the complete opposite of your father. Look where he is now."
"My pops isn't that bad grandpa. Obviously he's made some mistakes, but he's also successful, and knows what it takes to be successful. I'd be a fool if I said I didn't want to achieve half of what he has."
"Half of the things he's gotten have been wrongfully obtained. There's a reason he's in jail CJ." Isaac knew the truth about Colin, so he knew why Colin got locked up.
"What's that suppose to mean?"
Isaac had to stop himself because he knew CJ didn't know everything about Colin, and that was up to Colin to tell the reason for him going in.
"Nothing. Let's keep playing."

"What up Cam?"
"Oh you know the usual, runnin shit. How you doin?"
"Good man. Good. I actually called with some good news. Release date is set for November."
"That's great brother." Cam says with a smile. "What you need me to do."

"How bout I fly up there and come get you. That way you ain't gotta fly down here alone."
"Yeah...that sounds good. I'll be in touch with an actual date."
"Bet. Aye listen, you know when you get out, there's gonna be a lot of PR ground to make up. We've done what we can, but now it's your turn."
"Yeah I know. But I'll be in touch."
