As planned, Cam went to pick up Kai for lunch. They went to a restaurant of her choice. After getting seated, ordering drinks and their food and talk while waiting. Kai noticed Cam was in better spirit than he was when she left the house this morning.

"So how's work going?"

"Good. I had your favorite little patient this morning."

"Which one? All those little kids love me." Cam says with a smile.

"Guess...she's your favorite of the favorites."

"Sienna."

"Mhhm." She nods.

"She didn't have any cavities did she. Because she did last time I was up there and agreed to lay off the candy."

"She didn't. You should be proud."

"I am. I need to come up there and play dentist again." He says chuckling.

"I'm sure everyone in the office will enjoy that again. You had us all cracking up."

"Well then I'll definitely make time to do so."

"Well, what are you doing after this?"

"Nothing..."

"Well, not anymore. You're gonna come up to the office with me."

"Sounds good."

After lunch, Cam follows Kai back to the office and when they walk in, he's greeted by everyone.

"Dr. Cam in the house."

"Here he go." Kai says.

So, how many patients we got today?" He asks Jade and Crystal, who's running the front desk.

"Well, Dr. Kai had 3 this morning, and she has 4 more, one which should be here any moment."

"Perfeeeect. Who's the next victim....I mean patient on deck?" He asks. Kai rolls her eyes and heads to the back while Cam continues to do Cam things.

"Ummm..." Jade says scanning through the computer. "Bryson Hughes."

"Little Bryson. I remember him. He was my little buddy."

"Every child that comes is your little buddy when you're here."

"Yup. Cam loves the kids! I'm gonna head to the back. See you lovely women shortly."

About 10 minutes later, Bryson arrives and Cam plays dental assistant and goes to the front to bring him to the back.

"Bryson." He says after opening the door. Bryson's eyes light up when he sees Cam.

"Mama, look, it's Mr. Cam." He says to his mother.

"What's up lil man. You ready?"

"Yeah."

"Is mom coming back with you?" He asks.

"No. I'm too old to have my mom come back with me."

"Well excuse me." His mother says.

"He'll be in great hands ma'am."

"Oh I know. Dr. Kai's the best."

"Yeah, but she won't be operating on him. I will."

"Well in that case, I think I'm gonna go back as well." She jokes.

"Ha. Ha. We'll see you in a few."

"Okay. Cam, my baby come back with any issues, we gone have issues."

"Don't worry, he'll be fine."

They walk to the back and Cam gets him settled into the room.

"What you wanna watch lil man while we wait for Marly to come in?" Marly's one of the dental assistants.

"I don't know, you choose." He says.

"Hmmm, let's watch sportscenter." Cam suggests.

"That's fine." Marly comes in and does his X-rays, Kai comes in to talk about his X-raysx then Marly gets him cleaned and flossed up then waits for Kai to come in to finish the examination.

"Alright, so what we say we'd work on for the next six months?" Kai asks as she lets his chair back up.

"Flossing."

"Yup. You have some pretty teeth coming in and we gotta keep them pretty."

"Yup. Girls love boys with a winning smile, right, Dr. Kai?" Cam says then flashes his smile.

"Exactly."

"Is that why you like Mr. Cam, Dr. Kai?"

"Yup. That and he's a great person. Just like you."

"So...what you're saying is, I have a shot with you."

"Wooooahhh lil man. Back up. This my woman."

"Not for long." Bryson says then smirks.

"Kai, next time drill on all his little teeth."

"Cam, relax...I'll see you in six months Bryson."

"See you next time Dr. Kai. You too Mr. Cam."

"Oh best belieeeeeve I will be here. I gotta keep my eye on you, or I might lose my woman to a 10 year old."

"You will lose your woman to a 10 year old...see you later Dr. Kai."

"Here, I'll walk you out so I can go say hello to your mother."

"Okay."

"And you..." She says turning to Cam, who smiles. She rolls her eyes. "Nvm."

While she goes to the front of the dentist office, Cam goes to her office and takes a seat in her chair. He props his feet up on her desk and turns it to ESPN. Kai goes to the back and goes to the room they were just in, and Cam's not there. She figured he must be in her office.

"You better get your damn feet of my desk." She says after shutting the door.

"My bad."

"Done lost your damn mind." She says while taking off her white coat and hanging it on the coat rack. Colin smiles as he watches her.

"What Cameron?"

"Come here?" He signals with his index finger. She walks over and straddles his lap. "How long till your next patient comes?"

"Not for another 30 minutes." She says before giving him a passionate kiss. She breaks it, and stares in his eyes.

"Why'd you stop?"

"I know somethings been bothering you..." Cam sighs. "What is it?"

"If I told you...I'm not sure how you'd react?"

"I really hope you didn't do anything stupid, Cameron."

"I didn't do anything."

"So what happened then."

"Somebody ordered a hit on Kap's crew. They found the person that carried it out, and when he didn't speak up, Kap finished him off. I ain't never seen Kap like that. Shit scared me."

"Where was this?"

"At the club."

"Really Cameron? How can Kap be so damn stupid. He could put all of you at risk, he'll y'all are at risk just knowing what you know about him."

"Chill, okay. Kap said everything is fine."

"Sometimes I wonder if you even need to be apart of this whole club thing. You've made more than enough money over the last 8 years to support a family. And I make enough money also. I love Colin like he's a brother, but I have a strange feeling that none of this will end well."

"I can't just leave. I'm invested in our clubs just as much as they are, and we're in the middle of trying to open one in Miami."

"I'm not the one to give ultimatums but..."

"Then don't give any. I won't put you in harms way, neither will I put myself in harms way. I promise."

She sighs. "Just be careful. Please."

"I will." He says and his phone vibrates.

Kap: Hey, you free?

Cam: What's up?

Kap: Meet up with the fellas to discuss some things...

Cam: Your crib?

Kap: Yeah.

Cam: aight. I'll be there in the next 30 minutes.

Kap: sounds good.

"Colin?" Kai asks.

"Yeah." She gets off his lap.

"Go ahead...I know you have to go."

"You mad at me?" He asks, sticking out his bottom lip and giving her sad eyes.

"No...now go tend to your business. I don't need you getting ready to fight anymore of my patients today anyways."

Cam chuckles. "that boy Bryson something else."

"He definitely is....I'll see you at home."

"I love you." He says then gives her a kiss.

"I love you too." She says before giving him another peck on the lips. He leaves, saying good bye to everyone in the office on his way out, and heads to Colin's.
