twenty seven
"Montgomery! Hurry it up in there!" I heard a voice yell. The sound of a car horn rang through my ears as I rushed to the open window in my room.
"Ashton! It's four-thirty in the morning! Shut the hell up!" I hollered out the window. I quickly grabbed my bag and slipped on a pair of boots.
I rushed down the stairs and stepped outside to see Ashton leaning against his truck, he had a cigarette in one hand and a tray of coffee in the other.
I gladly took one of the cups out of the tray and gulped down the pipping hot liquid.
"My Mom is home, put out the ciggerette," I scolded as I took a seat on the hood of the car. He rolled his eyes and grasped my scarf with his palm. He slowly pulled me in and smirked.
"I wouldn't want to upset your lovely mother," he mocked. I sighed in defeat as he leaned back and took another puff.
"You're too cocky," I smirked as his eyes searched every area of my face.
"You know? You remind me of myself a few years ago," he chuckled.
"How so?" I questioned.
"You're so innocent and naive, completely unaware of the dangers of the world." He smiled. "You see things in a different light."
"I am not innocent and certainly not naive?" I insisted as I lightly pushed him away with a playful giggle. He acted like I was a little girl?
"Oh really?" He mumbled in a deep tone.
I suddenly flinched when I felt his cold finger tips running up my thigh. Soon enough, I felt a hand grasping my butt. I gasped and looked into his cold eyes.
"I can see it in the way you react to my touch." He growled into my ear as he grasped my neck. I felt his lips connect with my jaw as he began to nibble at my skin. I was caught in a debate between fright and bliss.
He began to move his lips across my neck until he pulled away and stared into my eyes.
"I like that you've never experienced anything like this," he mumbled as he touched me.
"Well, don't you want a girl who already knows what she's doing?" I asked in confusion.
"I've had enough of those," he chuckled as he took another drag. "It's time for a change."
I felt my stomach churn when I remembered that Ashton has been with multiples of women and to him, I was just another check mark added to the list.
"Ash?" I whispered as I watched him blissfully take puffs of the ciggerette. He slowly turned his head to face me. His eyes were shimmering in the moonlight and his illuminated face was close to flawless. "Have many women have you been with?" I questioned softly. His eyes squinted tight and shot upward as he began to think. "Really? That many?" I chuckled knowing that he had to count in his head.
"Well, there was Amber, Serena, Annalise, Jasmine, Lindsey..." He began to count on his fingers. Once he reached ten he had to reset the count, I couldn't help but gulp. "Mona, Olivia, Tracy, Ashley, Nina, Samantha, Lilly..." He continued to whisper to himself as he counted. I started to get upset knowing that he wasn't even able to tell me without completely reviewing his sexual past. "Somewhere around thirty-two women, I couldn't be able to tell you how many times I've banged them but probably thirty-two...Wait! Thirty three," he mumbled with a smirk.
"S-Seriously?" I stuttered. He nodded his head and stepped closer to me.
"Now what about you?" He whispered as he brought a hand out to touch my cheek. The same hand that has apparently touched thirty-three other women's cheek's. While remembering that, I slightly pushed him away.
"You already know I'm a virgin," I groaned in frustration.
"I know, but how many have you been with?" He insisted as he took a seat next to me.
"One, other than you," I sighed.
"Who?" His eyes suddenly shot up.
"I had a boyfriend back in New York," I stuttered. "W-We dated for two years."
"What happened?" He asked softly as he place a hand on my knee.
"He cheated on me with my best friend when I wouldn't give him what he wanted."
"He wanted sex?" Ashton whispered.
"Yeah, and I told him I wasn't ready so he decided the best way to deal with the situation was to cheat," I mumbled. "My best friend, Mindy told me what she had done and two weeks later I convinced my parents that moving would be a good idea and I was surprised they went along with it. It turned out they were offered jobs in Seattle so it worked out well," My voice was soft and weak as I spoke. "So we sold our house and left for Seattle, and I haven't seen either of them since."
"Did you love him?"
"Yeah, I was in love with him," I felt my eyes getting heavy and my chest tightening.
"Well, do you still love him?" He mumbled quietly.
"Ashton, obviously not, I haven't talked to him in over a year?" I giggled softly.
"I wouldn't blame you if you did," he wrapped an arm around me and smiled.
"He wasn't hard to get over, I met Luke and he helped me forget," I whispered at we stared at the tree's in the distance.
We sat in silence for a few more minutes, just sitting and drinking our coffee. It was nice to see this side of him so often.
"What time does your mom's flight land?" I asked as I stood up.
"Eight," he mumbled. My eyes quickly widened as I glared at him.
"The airport is five minutes away? It's five in the morning?" I groaned as I opened the car door.
"I know," he chuckled. "Trust me."

After a extremely long drive we managed to reach a park about a half hour from the airport.
"Why are we here?" I whined as I dragged my heels along the ground.
"Trust me." He whispered again into my ear as he grasped my hand.
I decided to quit ruining the moment and keep quiet.
We hiked through the dark woods for what seemed like hours until we reached a cliff.
It was absolutely breath taking.
The cliff over looked all of Seattle. It was still quite dark so the lights of the building's illuminated the sky.
"My Mom used to take me here every Sunday morning," he smiled. "We'd watch the sunrise before going to church."
"You believe in God?" I questioned as he laid out a large blanket.
"Oh no, my father did though."
I watched his emotions change, from happiness to anger.
He managed to shrug it off before pulling me down next to him.
The colors in the sky began to change as I curled up into my scarf. He pulled me into his lap and wrapped his arms around my torso.
"I can see why your mother brought you here, this is beautiful," I smiled as I looked up at him. His face remained still as he glanced up at the sky.
"It is isn't it?" He grinned as his eyes remained on the view.
My eyes began to flutter shut as I laid in his arms.
I was glad to be listening to the crickets chirping and the birds singing as I felt myself drifting to sleep.
