Chapter 1: The Deal
A/N: I'm sorry for the spacing by the way, I literally started to write this story in my notes for iPhone and forgot to space out XD
This entire day was awful. First, we are immediately brought to this island that we know nothing about, and next, we're told the only way to get off this island and go home is to kill each other! I laid on my bed, trying to relax, but it never came.
"What the hell have we gotten ourselves into"
As I was talking to my self, another voice spoke up.
"Well, this is quite troubling for you (Y/N)!" I jumped at the monochrome bear's response
"Wha-what are YOU doing here Monokuma?"
"Whaaaat? Can't the headmaster of the school check on his students to see if they are doing well?" He said joyfully.
"That just sounds like some lame excuse to come here.", surprisingly, he looked actually quite shocked.
"F-Fine, I actually came to see if you wanted to strike a deal with me!"
"Count me out, there is no way I would make a deal with you" I said rudely
"Shot down that quickly, I must be very rude to you guys to get that response, then how about I make this deal more interesting
"Now, if you don't accept this deal, everyone else's family's will be killed!" I froze at this response. It felt like despair was just hammering at my soul, like all the hope I had was dissipating away.
"Excuse me?" I said in a low whisper
"Thaaaaats right! Now then, would you like to listen to my proposal?" He said in his cheerful tone. I took a second to think about it. I still was the Ultimate Vigilante and there was nothing I could do about it.
"F-f-fine, what I-is it you want?"
"It's actually veeeeeery simple, I want you to pretend to be a fake mastermind, and I will not hurt their families!" He extended his paw.
".... Do you promise not to hurt their families?" As I crouched down to him.
"No need to worry! I won't lay a single paw on them!"
"Fine, but on one condition"
"Hmm?"
"If they find out on their own that I'm not the true mastermind, I get to go back to my original self AND their families are left unharmed"
I could tell he was angry about it but he agreed to the deal.
"Your really pulling my leg, now, why don't we get you 'suited up'."
Suited up? What does he mean by that?
"I'm sorry what?" I said confused
"Well, if your going to be a fake mastermind, you gotta look the part!" And with that sentence, he took me to a place with a bunch of monitors set up.
"So this is where you watch us?" I knew the cameras weren't just for show.
"Upupupu, Yep! Now let's get you some proper mastermind attire!" With that, he ran into this room off to the side and carried out some new clothes. The clothes contained of a trench coat of monochrome colors, a red and black tie, some white and black shoes, hair pins to look like Monokuma, black and white gloves, and to top it all off, a surgical like mask looking like monokumas nuzzle.
"With this, you will look like a proper mastermind!" A feeling of dread overtook me as I knew this was going to be bad.
"Now (Y/N), you must SPEAK like a mastermind! Do you have any experience on acting?" He asked
"Well, I will admit when I was in my other high school, I used to always be in the musicals."
"GREAT, well, as the mastermind, you have to act out MY personallity so they would think you are the one controlling me!"
This task would be pretty difficut, I thought. His personallity is so... Hyperactive, but if it's to save the other students families, it's a price I have to pay.
"Now go on, try me!" He said losing patience. I decided it's best not to keep him waiting and gave it a shot.
"My my, the despair... It just covering aaaall your faces! It just fills me with joy!" I said in a little higher pitch that my normal voice.
"BRAVO, YOU WERE SPOT ON!!!"
He looked pretty impressed.
"(Y/N), you did great! First order of buisness, you are going to have to stay here for a while, I must wait untill the first murder is going to occur sometime within a few days and then, the BIIIIIG REVEAL!!"
"Won't the other students start to get suspicious if I'm not there?"
"No need, iiii've already got that covered!" And a swift motion later, Monokuma had called on the intercom for everyone to meet at the pool area and everyone quickly gathered there. Well, everyone except me. I was watching through the monitors in the room. As everyone gathered, I could hear the conversations popping up about how strange this all was.
