Pietro/Quicksilver x Reader #2

(Requested by: @different_and_nerdy)

Scene: You meet at a concert.

"I am very bored. I need entertainment." Pietro glared up at the ceiling in frustration. In the recent battle in Sokovia, Pietro had been miraculously saved. With his powers of speed, he also quickly healed. But, he did need time to fully recover. And, since he couldn't move around, he thought his new job was to annoy the crap out of everybody else in the Avengers tower.

Everybody groaned. "You are even annoying me, brother." Wanda admitted to him. "Then do something about it." Clint muttered as he took a bite of the lasagna prepared by Pepper. Tony popped up from his seat. "I've got it. Come on buddy, we're going out." Pepper dropped her fork on her plate.

"Tony! We were going to have a night in with everybody here! I've got dessert in the oven!" Tony raised an eyebrow. "I'm sorry, but do you really want to deal with Speedy Mcwhiny over here for the rest of night?" Her mouth shut in resignation.

"Let's go. I think I know of something you'll want to see."

*****
You were freaking out. This was the last show of your tour, and then your agent said you should "take a break from the spotlight". Really, that just means you were going to prepare for a Beyoncé and put out a new album without a notice.

This was your last chance to "wow". You had to leave the audience wanting more and the press whirring. In a good way. And that was what you were worried about. "You're on in five." The stage manager told you. Your agent, Skye, grinned at you. You shook your head. You could do this.

"I do not understand, Tony Stark. Why are we here? I have no interest in-"

You came onstage and Pietro's jaw dropped. You came out in a red knee-length black, red, and white floral skirt, a sleeveless white button-up shirt, and some black pumps with your hair down and curly.

"Are you guys ready?" You shouted with your earbud/microphone. Thousands of fans cheered in the crowd. You grinned. You knew that you would be nothing without them. You started by singing songs in the park until someone took a video of you and uploaded it to YouTube. Then, the video went viral. And you really had to thank your fans.

"You guys are amazing! I want to thank you guys for coming tonight! And to do that, I would like to call on one of you to come up and sing with me!" You were met with an uproar of voices and an ocean of hands that raised to your request.

"To start off, I've asked my drummer, Aaron, to pick a section number." You walked over to him and put the microphone up to him. "Section B." He smiled as the whole section screamed. "Guitar, Jackson." You loved to put the band members on the spot. They never really got much attention, so you wanted to make sure they got their chance.

"Row 17." He blushed as the bright lights shone on him. "Bass guitar, Elijah." He flipped his golden blonde out of his eyes and flashed his twinkling smile which caused an uproar among the girls of the crowd. You rolled your eyes. "Drum roll, please." You looked to Aaron. He grinned and began. "Seat number... 15!"

A spotlight was directed to where you saw a little girl, about seven, practically sprint down with her mom in tow. You hadn't known you had fans that young.

When she came up, she had a smile too big for her face. "And what's your name?" You asked, bending down to her height. "I'm Lucy Harrison." She said it with so much conviction that it almost broke your heart how adorable she was. "Well, Lucy Harrison, how would you like to sing a song with me?" You put the mike up to her again. "I would like that very much." She nodded. The whole crowd gave an affectionate "aww!"

"Which one do you know the best?" You asked. "I know all of them!" She laughed. "Okay then, choose your favorite." She whispered her choice in your ear. You smiled and nodded. "That's my favorite, too."

You nodded to Aaron and put up three fingers. He knew that meant the third song on the original schedule. He began drumming while Elijah and Jackson picked up the beat. Soon, you and Lucy were jamming out.

And that's pretty much how the show went: picking seat after seat of excited teenage girls, blushing teenage boys, and parents who only came to be with their kids. Then, they drew Section C, Row 1, and Seat number 11.

A guy about his early twenties looked nervously to... was that Tony Stark? The man had silvery-blond hair that shown brightly under the spotlight illuminating him. You nearly gasped as you he came up and you saw his rich blue orbs staring back at you. He was wearing a gray Nike hoodie with Levi jeans and Converse sneakers.

Stylin', you thought. And hot.

"What's your name?" You asked, pretty interested. "Pietro Maximoff." He replied in a Russian accent.

He's got a husky voice and an accent, I'm sold.

"What song do you want to sing?" You questioned. "I'm sorry to say I don't know any." He shrugged, and you could tell he actually meant it. "That's fine. Do you know 'Let it be'?" You turned back to him. He nodded quickly, grinning. "Yes. I learned it just recently." You smiled too as you saw a glitter in his eyes.

Aaron started up again and you spoke to Pietro. "When I point to you, that's when you start singing. Okay?" He nodded.

"When I find myself in times of trouble,
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be."

You pointed to him and his voice rang out in smooth tones over the arena.

"And in my hour of darkness,
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be."

You couldn't help it. You really, really liked him.

I mean, dang, he can sing!

You almost forgot to join in at the chorus because you were mesmerized by his melodious voice.

Ha, it's almost like he has my powers.

You sang in beautiful harmony with him and wished for more, except that was the last song of the night.

"Thank you, everybody. Have a good night, drive safely, and stay rockin'!" You waved and walked off the stage as the cheers slowly dissipated and people began to exit the arena.

You had told Skye that you wanted to spend your "break" in New York. So, you changed into some jeans, your old pair of ratty sneakers, an old college sweatshirt, and a thin jacket for the chilly New York air.

You went out the backstage door to keep from attracting attention. Then, you realized you had forgotten your bag in your dressing room. Suddenly, somebody else came out and hit you with the door. "Oof!" The air was knocked out of you as you fell to the ground.

"I am so sorry! Here let me help." The stranger grasped your arms to try to help you up. You soon realized it was the last dude you sang with.

"Get me my bag." You don't know why, but you let it happen. You let it go, again. Your voice's sound waves changed in the air and entered his brain as the inescapable command, "Get me my bag."

Pietro froze. You wished you could stop him, but you were in too much pain to try. "Where is it?" He asked in a monotone voice. "Uh, it's in my dressing room, on the table with the magazines." Before you could even get up, he was back with your bag in his hand, thrusting it in your direction.

You sighed. "Thank you." He blinked twice before he snapped out of the trance. "What has happened? And why are you bleeding?" He asked the second question with more urgency. "You kinda hit me with the door..."

He immediately helped you up right as Tony Stark came out of the door. "So I talked with the girl's agent and she said she'd be staying in New Yor- Woah, buddy! You found her already? Wait, why are you bleeding? Pietro, I thought we agreed not to kidnap her."

You let out a small laugh. "He accidentally hit me with the door." Tony chuckled. "Here. We'll help you with that." Not even an hour later, you were talking and laughing with the rest of the Avengers.

"So, how did you become famous?" Clint asked. You shrugged. "I began singing in the park when someone posted a video of me and it went viral. My agent found me after that." Pietro smiled. "It's like you cast a spell on them with your voice."

You sat up right. "H- how did you know?" You stuttered looking at Pietro nervously. He stopped smiling. "What?" You knew you had to tell someone. And these were the Avengers. Most of them had powers as well.

"I have what some call, 'sonic scream'. It's where I can manipulate my voice in different ways." "Like what?" Natasha asked, curious. "Like what?" You mimicked her voice down to the very decibel. They all say back in awe. "I can also, you know, scream. It can knock out a regular person and send objects flying. I don't like to use it."

They all nodded, still watching you. "What else?" Pietro asked. You blushed. "I can also... manipulate... people." Their eyes widened. "Prove it." Pietro smirked at you. "Don't try me." You warned. "You can't do it, can you?" You grinned at his challenge. "Slap yourself in the face. Hard." .....

SMACK!

"Ow..." A deep red mark shown on his face the rest of the night.

You shrugged, giving him an innocent smile. "I told you not to try me." He smiled back at you, not even bothering to pretend he was mad.

One Year Later...

You grinned as you threw Cap's shield back to him. "Thanks!" He shouted as he leaped off the side of a tree to grab it. A soldier shot at you as you ran to help Nat. You turned around and smirked. "Cease fire and give me your weapons." His expression went blank as he immediately stopped shooting and ran to give you his guns and knives.

"I'm out!" Natasha shouted as she finished firing at a new wave of soldiers who were now on the ground. You threw the handgun the soldier had at Nat and she smiled as she caught it and began firing again.

Before you could run to help Clint, a speeding blue blur picked you up. "The fighting is over. Natasha and Clint have the last sector covered. If not, Captain and Stark have backup." Pietro explained as he raced for the helicarrier.

As you entered, he smiled down at you. "Where's Wanda?" You asked, dread flushing through you since you hadn't seen your practically sister/friend for half of the mission. "Right here." She smiled at you, waving her fingers as she stepped out from one of the side rooms. You ran up and hugged her. "I'm so glad you're okay." She laughed. "Me too. I'll leave you two alone before the rest of them come back."

As she walked away, winking at you, you turned back and smiled up at Pietro. "Kiss me." He looked back down at you with his signature smirk and glint in his eye. "You don't have to tell me twice." His husky voice sent shivers down your spine before his lips came down on yours.

Mission: Complete
