Lets do this

«LONG CHAPTER YES»

I laid on the ground with Carl beside me.I looked at the dying tulip in my hands, twirling it around. I looked at Carl, who was smiling at me.

"What?" I asked, smiling. He stood up, holding his Hand out.

"Follow me." He said. I took his hand and stood up. We walked out of the barn. The trees were still everywhere, and walkers were still trapped under them.

"God..." I mumbled. He squeezed my hand and looked back at me.

"You okay?" He asked.

"Will be." I said. He nodded and turned his head back around, almost tripping in the process. I stifled my laughter as he straightened himself up.

We walked to a clearing in the trees. The sun was rising, making the sky full of beautiful colours. I smiled at the sight.

"It gets better, ya know?" Carl said. I looked at him. He was looking at the sunrise.

"Yea I know." I said, looking back at the sky. "But not always." I added, sighing. Carl looked at me.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"This world isn't gonna get any better. Not anytime soon. Everything's just gonna get worse... One day-it could be really soon, it could be years from now- I'm gonna die. You're not, no. You're too strong for this world to get you. I mean, look at you. You're amazing... And I want to tell you now that...that when I eventually do di--"

"Stop, Melissa. Stop... You're gonna survive...we're gonna survive. Together. We're gonna beat this world together, I know it." He squeezed my hand lightly so I looked at him.

"Yea." I smiled. "Oh, look at what I found," I went through my bag. "A while ago... It was broken but my dad fixed it." I said, pulling out a yellow jewelry box. I showed Carl and opened it up, turning the little key. We waited for the little ballerina inside to turn and the music to play, but nothing happened.

"Well." Carl laughed. I chuckled and set it on the rock beside me. Footsteps caught our attention as a man came walking towards us with his hands up.

"Uh, sorry to interrupt." He said. We both shot up and pointed our guns at him. "Uh, I'm Aaron." He said nervously. "I need to talk to your leader. Rick, is it?"

"Who are you?" Carl asked.

"Why?" I asked, tightening my grip on my gun.

"Oh, I'm a friend. And I have good news." It was all silent until my music box began playing, and all attention suddenly was on that.

+++

"Guys!" I said while we brought the man into the barn. Everyone put their weapons up and pointed at him. "We found him alone. He gave us his weapons, and we tied his hands up." I said. Rick and dad walked up to him, putting us behind them. Rick patted him down, searching for weapons.

"Yea..." He said, pulling a gun from his jacket pocket. "Go search through his things and see what stuff you find." He instructed me and Carl.

Carl walked over to the mans bag and I followed. I heard bits and pieces of what rick and Aaron were saying, like how Aaron has a safe and secure camp for us to"audition" for with houses and walls and even solar powered electricity.

"I mean, audition makes it sound like a dance troop. We don't do that...well, only on Fridays but--" the next thing I saw, rick stormed up to Aaron and punched him in the face, knocking him out.

"Shut up." I mumbled to Aaron, looking back through his bag. Something orange caught my eye as I picked it up. It was a small, odd, bright orange gun. I walked up to rick.

"I've never seen this kind of gun before..." I said, handing it over to him. He examined it and sighed, patting my shoulder. Aaron was waking up again. Rick walked over to him and lazily held up the orange gun, showing it to him.

"How many people are in your group?" He asked. Aaron just looked at rick. "You've got a flare gun. Obviously to signal your people. How many are out there?" Rick asked demandingly.

"Does it matter?" He asked.

"Of course it matters." Rick said.

"Well, I mean, it matters how many people are actually out there, but does it matter how many people I say are out there? You won't believe whatever I say anyway. Twelve, fifty, four hundred and forty four, zero...whatever I tell you, you won't believe me anyways." He said. I rolled my eyes. Carl walked up to me and held my hand.

"I'm gonna ask you again, how many people are out there?" Rick said annoyed.

"One." Aaron sighed. Rick shook his head. "See, you don't believe me. I wouldn't believe me either." I walked away after that, walking to Judith.

"We'll go tonight, then." Rick said, talking about this camp. "But you and your partner aren't driving." He said.

"Wait, we're going after dark?" I asked. "You know how dangerous that is?"

"Oh well." Rick shrugged, walking off. I rocked Judith back and forth in my arms, glancing at the man every so often. Judith was crying and nobody could really do anything, anyways.

"I have a jar of Apple sauce. You have to feed her or the roamers will come and we all know I'll be the first to go." Aaron said. I looked at the glass jar of Apple sauce, walking over to it. I opened it up and put some on a spoon. I saw most-if not all-of the group looking at me. I looked at the spoon and then Judith. I walked over to Aaron, putting the spoon near his mouth.

"Aw, come on. You really think I'm trying to poison your baby?" He asked. I let the fact that he called her my baby go.

"But what happens if she gets sick? And, like you said, you'll be the first to go." I said.

After a long period of silence, he spoke again. "I hate applesauce. My mother used to force me to eat foods I hated to make me manly." I rolled my eyes and didn't move the spoon. He sighed and ate it. I looked at him closely as I ate the last bit that was on the spoon, not caring that a total stranger just ate from it. I walked back to the jar and put the spoon down, setting a crying Judith on the ground.

It was getting dark and the others have already found where Aaron's partner was. Some were driving with him, and some were driving with Aaron.

Me, rick, Michone, and Glenn are driving with Aaron in his car, while all the others, my dad, Carl, Judith, Noah, Maggie, Rosalyn, Damien, everyone else, is driving in the R.V with Aaron's partner, whom I have yet to find out his name.

"No, I want you to ride in the R.V with me." Carl said, grabbing my hand. I turned around.

"Carl, I'll be fine. Rick wants me to go with them because... I don't know why, actually. But rick asked me if I wanted to go with them so I said yes." I said, stroking my thumb over the back of his palm. Carl sighed, hugging me.

"I want you to be safe." He said.

"I'll just be right in front of you guys, I'll be fine." I reassured him.

"I love you." Carl said,

"I love you too." I mumbled into his chest. He kissed my head and grabbed my hand.

"Let's go." Rick said. We parted and walked to our vehicles. Glenn drove, while rick was in the passenger seat, while Michone sat in the middle of the back seat, and I sat behind Glenn and Aaron sat behind rick. It wasn't that squished, either. I held my gun in my left hand, and the other was propped up against the window.

"What's the camp like?" Michone asked. I looked over from the window and at them. Aaron took out pictures and handed them to her. We both looked at them.

There was fences with big beams supporting it so it never falls, there were houses, there were solar panels, water tanks, this seemed too good to be true, but what didn't these days?

"Why don't you have any pictures of your people?" I asked.

"...Well, I...--"

"Rick, did you ask him the questions?" Michone asked. Rick said he didn't.

"How many walkers have you killed?" She asked.

"Too many..." He replied, confused.

"How many people have you killed?" I asked.

"What?" He asked nervously.

"Answer," I demanded.

"Two... Two." He said.

"Why?" Michone asked. I looked over at rick, who I could tell was listening, but not looking.

"They tried to hurt me, tried to kill me." He said.

"This is insane we can't bring the kids here. This is--" rick began, but was cut off by a loud bang. We looked through the window and saw that we were literally driving through thousands of walkers. The car was full of blood. Walkers were banging on the windows as we drove past. We got in front of the herd and stopped driving. I quickly got out of the Car and looked for the R.V, which wasn't in sight. I put my hands on my head and blinked quickly to stop from crying. I started breathing heavily, looking around for the RV.

Everyone I love is in that RV and it's gone.

I saw a red light and I looked towards the direction of a water tower. Someone shot the flare gun. I smiled.

"By the water tower!" I said. Everyone nodded and rushed into the car. I looked behind me and saw the herd catching up to us. "Shit."

I jumped in the car as Glenn tried to start it. It wasn't working. Michone jumped out and took walker arms out of the grill of the car. The herd was getting closer, so Aaron just jumped out and ran towards the direction of the water tower. We quickly followed, shooting walkers that got too close for comfort.

Glenn and Aaron went missing suddenly, and there were too many walkers near us to go back. I began to worry about Glenn's safety.

"Melissa!" Rick screamed. I felt a cold hand grasp my arm and a walker was trying to bring it's teeth to my arm. I fell to the ground, bringing it on top on me. I was holding it just centimetres away from my face and my arms were becoming weak. I looked beside me and saw a rock. I shoved the walker to my side. I took it's head and bashed it into the rock, sending blood everywhere. I looked at rick and nodded, thanking him for telling me about the walker when he did because if he didn't, I would have been walker bait.

Rick shot his orange flare gun, sending a flare into one of the walker's eyes, lighting up its whole face. If you ignored the fact that were were killing walkers, it was pretty cool.

We saw Glenn and Aaron shoot down all the walkers.

"Glenn, you're okay?" I asked as we ran.

"Yea. Yea I'm fine." He said. "Had to bash in a walkers skull with a rock, but I'm fine." He said.

"I had to, too." I said.

+++

We found the RV in an alleyway near the water tower. I saw someone look over the corner, my dad, and quickly knock on one of the buildings doors. We got there and everyone ran out.

"Dad!" I shouted, running to him. He hugged me tightly. I saw Maggie hug Glenn, Carl hug rick, and everyone said their hellos.

I saw Carl and run up to him, hugging him tightly.

"Told you I'd be okay." I laughed. He nodded, hugging me.

"Eric! Where's Eric?!" Aaron yelled.

"Inside." Maggie said. He ran inside quickly. Me and rick looked at each other and quietly followed him inside a room, where Eric was lying with a bandage around his swollen foot.

"It's just a broken ankle, I'm fine." He smiled. Aaron nodded and kissed Eric. I smiled. I looked at rick, and it couldn't quite read his expression. He has a really good poker face.

"I got you something." Eric said, searching his bag. He pulled out a licence plate. "Since you lost your licence plate." He chuckled.

"I lost the car." Aaron laughed. Eric laughed too.

"Maybe it's for the best." Eric shrugged. Rick walked into the room. Aaron left the room, nodding to rick, saying a silent hello or something. I walked out with Aaron. Carl held my hand as rick walked back out.

"God, Judith needs something to eat..." I sighed, walking over to a crying Judith.

"And you guys will love it in Alexandria." Aaron said.

"Let's all get some rest. Long day tomorrow." Dad said. I nodded, walking over to a wall and sitting down, calming Judith down. Dad walked over to me and sat beside me.

"This guy killed two people." I said.

"We killed more." He sighed,

"He hesitated when we asked him about the people there. Look, I have the pictures." I said, pulling the Polaroid pictures from my bag. I showed him the ones of the houses and the empty streets.

"And?" He asked.

"And I asked why he didn't have any pictures with his people and he didn't answer," I said.

"So you don't trust this place?" He asked.

"No, this place could be great...even if it's just the two of them and they try to kill us, we can do what we have to do, and we could still have a safe place to live... It's just that I don't know if I trust these people..." I said. "I've developed trust issues ever since the CDC. 'Oh! Go to the Centre for Disease Control! They have the cure!' It's just bullshit. All that's left of the CDC is ash and rubble from whatever didn't get blown to pieces." I said. "Everything's just gone."

+++

We were sitting in the R.V. It's probably around noon right now. We found some canned food, so I'm feeding Judith some 's'getty O's' right now. Just basically alphabet soup...

Judith began crying and reached her hands out to Carl. I wiped her mouth and hands and passed her to Carl and she immediately stopped crying.

"Eat." Carl said, pointing to the spaghetti. I rolled my eyes and took a bite.

"Seriously, none of you have eaten more than just a granola bar lately-"

"Melissa, we worry about you. We've been eating more than you have. You need to take care of yourself. You're gonna starve yourself. Look at how skinny you are!" Carol said. I sighed, sitting down and eating the rest of the contents in the bowl.

"I don't get it. You used to love food before." Dad said.

"That was before I got used to being starved all the time and before I had to help take care of other people." I said.

"Exactly. You've been working your butt off non-stop and you're gonna tire yourself out." Glenn said.

"Why do you guys even worry about me? Like, I'm not worth it." I said. Damien rolled his eyes.

"We care about you like you're our family. I probably wouldn't be alive right now if it wasn't for you." He said.

"Judith wouldn't, either." Carl said.

"Or me, for that matter." He added.

"Me neither." Glenn said.

"I did save your life a few times." I joked, flipping my hair.

"Ah, a little cocky now, are we?" Tara joked. I laughed.

"Abe, look." Rosita said, pointing out the window. Washington. I saw the White House and frowned. How awkward and sad would it be to see the president as a walker? Having to kill him? Jeez. That would kinda just rub it in that there's no hope left.

"Almost there." Aaron said.

"What're you thinking about?" Carl asked.

"The president." I said and looked at him. He chuckled.

"Nice, I guess?" He said. I rolled my eyes and laughed.

"I've always wanted to go to Washington." I sighed, looking back out the window.

"Why didn't you say? Hell, I coulda taken you and Merle." Dad said. I looked at him.

"Forgetting that you need enough money to get three plane tickets, a place to stay, food, things to do... I knew we couldn't have went. Maybe one day." I said, shrugging. Dad sighed,

"Sorry you didn't exactly have the best childhood... At least not the one I hoped you'd get." He said.

"Dad, no." I said. He looked at me and smiled. I smiled back.

"Okay, we're here." Aaron said. I looked out the window and saw these big walls. I saw rick took tense, but then we heard children laughing, and his face softened. He looked back at me, Carl and Judith.

"Ready?" He asked. We nodded and grabbed our weapons, walking out of the car. We walked up to the fences. Rick grabbed Judith and smiled at her. She played around with his beard. I laughed.

Carl grabbed my hand and squeezed it. I looked at him.

"Let's do this."

I really don't trust Aaron very much... But I also really wanna see Alexandria like I've waited forever for this and now I have to wait a whole week to actually see it

I think corals gonna get a gurlfrienddd😏😏 idk but I mean if there's actually people there, there's GOTTA be SOMEONE his age. I'd go pretty crazy not seeing a person my age in the middle of the apocalypse for years.

And PHEW Glenn didn't get but he was SO close I thought he was done for sure. I'm really glad he didn't die also for Maggie's sake because I don't think she could loose anybody else.

And if they're going to the Alexandria Safe Zone, then something gonna happen because they can never stay somewhere for more than a season without something happening.

And where's Morgan?? Like, dude, you better be at Alexandria.

Did anyone else get really sad when they saw the RV?? Daleeee:(((
