Charms
Taylor awoke to the loud buzzing of her phone and quickly shut of the alarm. Normally she'd spend some time laying in bed convincing herself to get up but today she was out of bed in seconds. She hopped in the shower and then walked over to pick out what to wear, today was a big day, Karlie was coming back from London and Taylor had missed her wife so much.
"Dress? or maybe a skirt?" Taylor asked Olivia who was currently rubbing herself against Taylor's leg.
"The dress." Taylor answered her own question, selecting a white sundress and putting it on.
She then walked into the kitchen and had breakfast, no coffee.
"I have to pick up the flowers and the present and cook dinner." She said aloud to herself, planning out her day.
She slipped on some flats and went to the market to pick up the ingredients for Spaghetti and cookies. When she arrived back home to put away the groceries she received a text.
Karlie😘: "Hey babe! Are we still on for tonight?"
"Yeah! I can't wait. 😉" Taylor quickly responded, smiling with excitement for tonight.
K: "See you then! 😘"
Taylor smiled wider before going to get the last few things she needed for tonight.
She got home an hour later with a few presents for Karlie and some flowers, which she quickly put in a vase.
"Oh! I better make dinner." She said to Meredith, who just looked at her and went back to sleeping.
She quickly mixed together the dough for Chocolate chip cookies and put them in the oven to bake while she boiled the noodles and made the sauce for spaghetti.
She had just pulled the cookies out of the oven and drained the noodles when she heard the door open.
"One sec babe!" Taylor yelled, quickly putting together their plates and setting them on the table.
"Hello gorgeous." Karlie said when Taylor finally let her in their apartment.
"Hey beautiful." Taylor kissed Karlie's cheek, pulling her inside.
"I made spaghetti and your favorite cookies." Taylor announced, pulling out Karlie's chair.
"Chocolate chip?"
"Of course." Taylor smiled at the excitement that lit up those green eyes.
"This is the best back-from-a fashion show present ever, I love you so much." Karlie said to Taylor as she sat down.
"Oh there's more." Taylor smirked.
The two girls began eating, discussing Karlie's time in London and the album Taylor was working on.
"Are you ready for your first present?" Taylor asked, standing up to retrieve the first gift.
"I've been ready the whole nig- wait first? as in more than one?" Karlie asked.
"Yes as in more than one." Taylor laughed, handing Karlie a long black box.
Karlie opened it to see a charm bracelet with charms dangling from it, each of which she could already tell represented a moment in their relationship. "Oh my god Taylor you didn't have to." She had tears filling her eyes.
"Trust me, I wanted to." Taylor looked at her wife with all the love in the world filling her eyes.
"Here's your next gift." Taylor handed her a small charm, clearly meant for the bracelet.
"I don't understand, why a bottle?" Karlie asked, confused.
"That brings me to your third and final gift," Taylor handed her a small envelope.
Karlie opened it and immediately understood the charm, felt silly for not realizing it, and began crying. It was a sonogram.
Taylor brought Karlie's hand to her belly.
"It worked?" Karlie asked, referring to the treatment to get Taylor pregnant.
"Yes, I've got a healthy little baby growing in me." Taylor answered, her own tears threatening to spill over.
Karlie looked up at Taylor, her eyes filled with joy and love and tears,
"We're going to have our own little family."
