We Found Wonderland.
Taylor awoke to the familiar buzz of her phone, "I don't know how this thing still works, it goes off every five seconds." she said to no one in particular, her voice still groggy from sleep. She picked the device up, smiling at the cat stickers placed on the back.
It was a message from Karlie, her girlfriend of two years: "Good morning babe 😘 I have a surprise for you today! Breakfast is in the kitchen, just pop it in the microwave. Love you <3"
The clumsy girl stumbled out of bed, rubbing her eyes and stretching her limbs. She smiled when she entered the kitchen, heating up the plate she found sitting on the counter. Under the plate she found a small handwritten note in Karlie's handwriting, "Your driver is waiting for you when you're done, he already knows where to take you, don't worry about dressing up too much. Love you"
Taylor was officially confused, but she decided to go with it. She went to her room and threw on a pair of jeans and a top to match the cool weather.
Once downstairs she saw the car was already waiting outside the building.
"Good morning Miss. Swift."
"I've told you a thousand times, it's Taylor."
"Good morning Taylor," her driver corrected himself.
"Good morning," the girl smiled at the use of her first name, "I suppose my lovely girlfriend told you where we're going because she didn't tell me."
"Yes of course, Karlie gave me my instructions awhile ago." he responded, smiling.
"Well then, since one of us knows what's happening, let's go." Taylor responded as the car was started. They drove for about thirty minutes before they pulled up beside Taylor's favorite little shop, "This is where you get out, my job is done."
Taylor, even more confused now, thanked the driver as she stepped out.
"Enjoy your day." the driver said, pulling away.
Taylor walked in and was greeted immediately by an employee, "Hi Taylor! Karlie has told us everything that we are doing today, she also told us you don't know what's happening."
"No I do not, and I assume you're not going to tell me?" The blonde girl smiled at the employee.
"Nope, we promised Karlie it was all top secret." the brown haired employee responded.
"Of course she did, well let's get started." Taylor sighed.
"Okay! she wants you to but a dress for later, a really fancy one, so take your time and if you have any questions or have made your choice, I'll be right over their." She pointed towards the checkout area.
"Oh okay, thank you." Taylor went over to the section of the store with the long, fancy dresses. She began looking through them and picked a few to try on. She went into the dressing room and after a good hour of trying on the dresses and comparing them, she had picked the one she wanted, a long, red dress with a slit up the side.
"Is this the one you want?" The same employee asked,
"Yep." Taylor answered, pulling out her card to pay for the dress.
"Actually Ms. Kloss covered the payment already." She smiled at the singer.
"Oh okay. Do you happen to know where I'm supposed to go?" Taylor asked, realizing she had no idea.
"Yes I do, there is a car waiting outside, someone has already the dress in there, they are waiting on you." She pointed to the car smiling.
"Thank you." She waved goodbye as she made her way to the car.
"Hello Taylor" This driver was warmed of the girl's preference to her first name.
"Hi, I suppose you have more secret instructions from my girlfriend?"
"As a matter of fact I do. There should be a swimsuit of yours back there, you're going to need that when you leave." He said, and Taylor looked around for a second before finding it on the seat next to her.
"Okay. I assume I'll be instructed to put this on when I arrive?" Taylor asked.
"I believe so, here we are." Taylor once again got out of the car. "Thanks for the ride."
She looked up at what seemed I be a very fancy hotel, they had over the course of all the driving, made it to the New Jersey. She walked in and was greeted by a hostess who quickly showed her to a changing room so she could put on her bathing suit. When she walked out she was escorted to the elevator, "Right this way, we were told to send you up without explaining anything so, enjoy your night." The hostess pressed a button and sent Taylor up to the roof.
"Hey babe, looks like you finally made it." Karlie smiled. Taylor looked at Karlie, surprised then quickly excited to see her after the long day.
"This was really sweet and cute but I missed you." Taylor hugged Karlie tight.
"I know but were you surprised?" Karlie asked, her face showing her desire to succeed at this.
"Of course I was Kar. This was the nicest thing ever and I love you." Taylor said, her arms now resting around Karlie's neck.
"Well let's go swimming then I have another surprise." Karlie smiled, pulling Taylor to the pool.
The two girls swam and kissed for a few hours before Karlie announced that it was time for the next surprise.
"Room 113." Karlie handed Taylor a room key and kissed her cheek. "Someone will tell you what to do and where to go. Love you." Karlie said as Taylor got in the elevator.
"Love you too." Taylor replied as the door shut.
Taylor went to her room and before she went inside, one of the hotel workers was standing by her door and gave her simple instructions to get dressed and she would take her to her destination afterwards.
Taylor walked into the luxurious room to find her dress from earlier and some very fancy looking lingerie on the bed. She slipped the clothing on, along with matching shoes. When she walked back outside she was taken to the elevator, and when, a few floors later it opened again, Karlie was waiting for her.
Karlie was dressed in a black dress with cut-outs on her sides, exposing just enough of her abs to tease Taylor.
"Follow me love." Karlie led her into a her favorite Italian restaurant where they were seated and ordered their food.
"Are you going to tell me what this is all about?" Taylor asked, still very confused.
"You'll find out." Karlie smiled, and their food arrived.
They ate with conversation flowing and next thing they both knew, dinner was over.
All of a sudden Karlie stood up, "Taylor, today I sent you all over the place, buying a dress and then down to this random hotel in New Jersey, with no explanation, I really hope you had a good time, or at least that I am worth the little adventure." Karlie smiled, continuing on, "I spent so long planning this day because I wanted to make sure you remembered every second. I want you to remember every little thing about today." Karlie suddenly bent down on one knee, and very faintly, Love Story could be heard playing on the background, "Taylor Alison Swift you are my best friend in the whole world and the love of my life. Every second I spend without you is spent missing you, every second with you is spent wondering what I did to deserve you. You knew when we got into this it was risky. When I mentioned it being bad for your career, you pushed me against a wall, kissed me, and said I was more importantly than your career would ever be. From that moment on I knew I was hopelessly in love with you. I knew I couldn't handle losing you, and I thank my lucky stars everyday that you seem to need me too. Tay, would you marry me?" A small black box with a ring was pulled out, and Karlie held it up to Taylor, who was a crying mess at this point. The ring was gold with a large diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds, and engraved on the band was "We found Wonderland." A line from one of the first songs Taylor wrote for Karlie.
Taylor jumped into Karlie's arms, Yes, a million times yes."
