We may think that a simple, but truthful joke is harmless, but the scars it can leave on the receiving end can be irreversible.

We can apologize all we want, but they don't have to take it.

However, your latest victim can become a good friend, with love, patience, a willingness to listen, and ultimately, MERCY.

It's one thing to apologize, but it's another thing to befriend and guide the broken on the path to healing.
