Laura's POV

"Ross, I'd love to...but.." I start.

"But?" He whines.

I raise my brow at him and he composes himself.

I giggle, "But Ness will be home any time soon and I had plans with her."

"Can't you blow her off?" He smirked.

"No." I say, "I promised.. And she's my sister, you're my-"

"What? I'm your what?" He smirks even more, leaning closer to me.

"You're my f-friend." I say, my voice shaky.

"Right." He winks.

"Okay, you gotta go." I say pushing him out, my face red.

"Aww is Laur blushing?" He laughs.

"Ugh, get out." I say, pushing him out.

"Wait.." He pouts, "What about dinner here?"

"Well you lost that privilege." I stick my tongue out at him.

Before he can say another word I shut the door.

I turn, lean against the door and take a deep breath, while sliding to the ground.

What's he doing to me?

I try to control my red face and pounding heart beat and head for the basement.

What Ross didn't know was that I recorded our Jam session. :p

I can't wait to play it back.

Suddenly the door opens and Ness' face appears.

"Uh Laur? Can you help me with the groceries?" She smiles.

"I thought you were out looking for a job?" I laugh.

"I was. And I found one. Can't wait to tell you all about it, but can you please just help me?" She pleads.

"Fine." I give in, rolling my eyes.

I help her bring all the groceries into the kitchen and after that, we sit at the dining table.

"So, what's your new job?" I ask.

"Well.. I was walking around trying to find a 'Help Wanted' sign when a talent scout came up to me, he said that I was quote 'beautiful and made for the big screen'. He gave me his company's card and I called. They gave me an audition and I'm going to be an extra in the show, 'The Walking Dead'." She smiled.

"Oh. Woah. Ness that's insane! I love that show! But I can't believe it. Are you sure you're not being punked?" I ask, skeptically.

"Wow thanks for your optimism." She says. "I'm sure. I spoke to the show's casting crew and I'll start filming for the new episode in a week."

"It's not that I don't believe in you. I just don't believe them. But if you're sure then, I'm happy for you." I say, "By the way.. Is there any chance I can go to the set with you? I REALLY wanna meet Norman Reedus."

"I don't think I can...but I'll take you anyways if you promise to take me to Tay Tay." She smiles.

"Deal." I smile back.

"So what'd you do today?" She asks.

"Umm..oh you know...just worked on some new music for the label." I say.

Just then my phone vibrates.

I peek at it then look up at Ness. "Speaking of which..that's them."

"Oh Laura...always working with music." She smiles, "I'm gonna go take a shower now, you go ahead and talk to the label."

Once she's gone, I read the text again and smile.

Laur I had a blast today. You're doing great on the guitar. But I still wanna have that dinner. How about this Saturday at 7?

I bite my lip, I shouldn't go....but I can't resist.

I start typing faster than my mind has time to realize what I was doing. And before I know it, I press send.

Fine. I'll see you on Saturday. I had a lot of fun too. You're a good teacher.

Laura :b

Not one minute passed, when I heard my phone beep again.

No I'll see you tomorrow for another lesson. Then I'll see you Saturday. 😏

I rolled my eyes, and replied

My life doesn't revolve around you Ross, I have a meeting with my label. I wish I didn't tho... :/

Why did I send that?! 'I wish I didn't...' Ugh so stupid and obvious!

He replied, sending butterflies through my body.

Bye Ross. I gotta go. See you Saturday. :)

He replies.

God I can't wait for Saturday.

I then run down to the basement.

I turn on the Jam Session recording and laugh at all the stupid songs we wrote.

The recording gets to a part when I left to go to the bathroom, and it was just Ross.

I got really quiet and listened intently.

I heard him sigh and he began strumming. His voice soon followed suit:

I was speechless. Wow that song.....his voice.....Oh my god! He's amazing! How could he not share the song with me when I came back ?

Just then I heard a muffled noise come from the the recording. I didn't catch it tho, I was too deep in my thoughts. Out of curiosity, I played it back and my heart skipped at beat.

It was Ross' voice.

Ross had said: Laura... If you only knew..

Now I know why he didn't share the song...
