Raura [ON HOLD]

Ross' POV

I enter the Hollywood Records building.

I need to find Laura and I think I know how.

I head towards the elevator and get off at the fourth floor.

I walk down the hallway and knock on the third door.

Someone opens the door, It's Calum.

"What are you doing in my office?"he asks, "You never come here."

"I...umm, can I come in?" I ask, nervously scratching the back of my head.

He looks at me skeptically, but opens the door for me.

I sit in the chair across from his desk and he sits on the other side.

"So.. What's up?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, I was wondering if you know where Laura and her sister are." I say.

He freezes momentarily then says, "Why would you ask me?"

"The day of the.. incident." I cringe and so does Calum. "I saw you go after them when they ran from me. You were the last person to talk to them.. Did they say where they were going?" I ask hopefully.

He nervously avoids my eyes, "Uh... no they didn't, sorry. But why do you wanna see them, if I may ask."

I know he's lying about not knowing where they are, I can see it. "I just wanted to apologize, and maybe fix things with them." I say.

"Oh, well that's nice of you." He says, "Listen I have a lot of work to do right now.. But if I hear something, I'll let you know."

"Okay, thanks." I say walking out.

When he closes the door after I exit, I instantly go hide around the corner of the hall.

He knows where they are. I'm gonna follow him until he leads me to them.

But one thing confuses me.. Why would he not tell me where they are? Why does he care?

Laura's POV

I walk into the Big Machine Records building and head for recording studio 11, where David told me to go.

As I was walking down the hall, when someone opened a door to recording studio 10 and almost knocked me out.

"Ow.." I say rubbing my face.

"I'm so sorry! Oh my god! Are you okay?" I hear someone say, their voice strangely familiar.

They help me up, and I say, "I'm fine, it was just a little-"

I look up at the person for the first time and I freeze.

I widen my eyes, "Taylor!? Taylor Swift?!"

"Hi." She smiles.

"What are you..? How did this..? What? Am I dreaming?!" I say shocked.

"No. You aren't." She says. "I'm here because I'm signed to Big Machine.. Didn't you know that?"

"No! I did not. Oh my gosh! I'm a new artist.. Just got signed." I say nervously.

OH MY FLIPPIN PICKLES! TAYLOR F-ING SWIFT IS RIGHT HERE!

"Oh! That's right! You're Laura right? Laura Marano?" She asks.

"Yeah.. Th-that's me." I blush.

TAY TAY KNOWS MY NAME.

"Oh cool, we're neighbors." She smiles. "I'm in studio 10. You're in 11.. right?"

"Yup. Oh gosh... This is so cool." I smile.

"Yeah, but I gotta go though, see you later." She says, hugging me.

"See you.." I say hugging back, "And just so you know.. I'm a HUGE fan! 1989 is off the hook!"

We pull away and as she walks away she says, "Thanks! Good luck on your first day! And cute shirt." She winks at me and leaves.

When she is out of sight. I fall to the ground and scream into my arm.

Holy shit I just met Taylor Swift! EEEEEEEEEP! God she's so hot. I would totally date her.

I smile, shake my head and get up. I skip into the studio.

David is there, looking at me strictly. "You're five minutes late."

"I'm sorry, but you will not believe this.. I just met Taylor Swift out there!" I smiled.

"Really?" He says, eyes wide. "Darn it, I wanted you two to meet her by surprise."

"Believe me, I was surprised." I smile.

"Okay well.. Enough about that.. Let's get to work."

I nodded and sat down with the writers. I pitched them one of the songs I remembered from my book and they loved it.

We spent the rest of the time tweaking it.

I was in heaven.

Seriously.. Writing and singing for a living? Amazing.

After an amazing session with the guys, I left the studio.

David still had work to do so he stayed behind.

I ran to my bug. I couldn't wait to tell Ness about Taylor.

Ross' POV

I'm in my car.

More specifically, I'm following Calum's car.

I don't know where he's heading, but hopefully he's leading me one step closer to Laura.

And it's not like I like Laura.. I promised myself that I wouldn't fall for a girl again. Not after Court..

I just uh.. want to apologize and return her book to her.. Yeah...that's it..

Calum pulls into a house. I park on the street. I'm guessing it's his house. He climbs out and goes inside. Darn it!

I bang my steering wheel and run my hand through my hair.

I was really hoping he'd lead me to Laura.

Just as I'm about to drive away, another car goes into the driveway of the house.

It's a light blue bug. A girl gets out of it, my girl- I mean Laura, yup that's what I meant.

I run out of the car with the songbook and call her name.

"Laura!"

She turns around confused and her eyes widen when she sees me.

She looks so beautiful. Even more beautiful than before. Her hair and face and clothes are just.. Wow.

I felt drool on my mouth and wipe it off quickly.

I reach her, breathlessly. "Laura..here."

She looks at what I'm holding out to her and smiles.

"My book! Ross, where'd you find it?"

God I love it when she says my name.....Ugh Ross snap out of it.

"You....uh...dropped it, the other day..." I say scratching the back of my neck.

"Oh..umm..thanks for returning it..." She smiles, blushing.

"No problem." I smile.

"Wait.. Did you look through it." She eyes me, suspiciously.

"Weeeeelllll." I start, "I'm not gonna lie,   I did look through the songs. They're amazing by the way. But I didn't look at the parts labeled 'For Me' I swear I didn't. I'm sorry for looking through your stuff." I say looking at the ground.

Her fingers raise my chin, sending butterflies all over my body. She looks at me. "Okay... I forgive you.. Only because I would've probably done the same thing." She giggles, making my heart skip a beat.

"Wait.. How'd you find me?" She asks.

"I followed Calum here. He looked really guilty when I asked him where you were.. So I thought he knew."

"Oh." She says, "Well, um thanks again."

She starts walking away, but I pull her back.

"Laura I'm really sorry for what I did to you." I start.

"Ross.. Don't." She says, staring to walk away again.

I step in front of her again. "Please just.. Let me explain."

I give her my puppy dog eyes and they seem to work.

"Okay. You got two minutes."

I nod, "Laura.. I'm really sorry. I have no excuse for what I did to you. I just let Riker and Ryland convince me that it was the right thing to do but.. I was wrong.. really wrong. I feel so horrible for messing up your chance at making it, and I can't imagine how you must've felt. I know I have no right to come here and ask for your forgiveness, but I'm begging you Laura. Give me another chance. I want to make things right with you."

"Ross..." She starts.

"And Rydel, Rocky and Ratliff had nothing to do with it. It was all me, Riker and Ryland."

"Oh god.. I need to apologize to them.. I was so mean to them, I should've let them explain." She starts.

"You don't have to..they don't hate you, they hate me. They haven't talked to me since the incident."

"And they sent you here to apologize?" She asks.

"No Laura.. I came here on my own... I want your forgiveness and to get to know you better."

"Why?" She asks, more to herself than me.

"I honestly don't know. All I know is that I haven't been able to stop thinking about you.. And my heart says this is the right thing to do." I say grabbing her hand.

She blushes and says, "Ross.. I-I forgive you. And as for the hanging out thing.. I'll have to think about it. This is all a lot to take in."

"Thank you Laura. Here, my number." I say handing her a piece of paper.

She takes it and smiles, walking away.

"Wait." I say.

"Yeah?" She asks.

"Why, are you staying at Calum's?" I ask, biting my lip.

She smiles, "Well, he felt really bad for me and he got me an audition for Big Machine Records... And get this.. I got signed! Ness and I didn't have a place to stay since we quit our jobs and his family took us in."

"Wow! You got signed! Congrats!" I say, pulling her into my arms. "I'm so happy for you.." I whisper.

"Thanks.." She says, hugging back.

After we realized what we were doing, we pull away.

"Okay.. So text me." I say awkwardly.

She nods and we start walking away from each other backwards, and looking into each other's eyes.

When she is out of view I turn and run to my car.

This couldn't have gone better.

I drive my car back home with a huge smile on my face.

I can't wait for her response.

One hour later,

Laura's POV

I didn't tell anyone about my encounter with Ross. I knew they wouldn't be happy with me forgiving him so quickly.

I just think that everyone needs a second chance.. So I'm giving Ross one more chance to show me who he really is.

It was so sweet of him to return my book.

And when he held my hand and we hugged. I felt like I was flying.

Gosh he's so cute.

I told Ness about me meeting Taylor and she flipped out.

As to be expected.

I'm in my room working on a song right now.

From the corner of my eyes, I see the guitar I bought earlier today and an idea pops into my head.

I pick up my phone and text Ross. I added him as a contact.

Ross' POV

I'm in my room playing guitar when my phone beeps.

I look at it and smile.

Hey Ross, it's Laura. I made my decision. How about you swing by tomorrow at 3 and give me a guitar lesson?

I add Laura's number to my contacts and respond:

I'm there ;)
