Laura's POV

Best sleep ever.

Oh my god the Worthy's have such comfortable mattresses!

And did I mention that their house is HUGE! I mean not as big as the Lynch's home, but still a mansion. 

Last night the Worthy's were so sweet. They gladly took Ness and I in and told us that we could stay there as long as we need.

And get this! They gave us their guest house! Our very own house, with our own rooms! God I'm so happy! (Don't get me wrong, I loved sharing a room with Ness but you know.. I need mah space.)

I got up and put on my dress from yesterday. That's my only piece clothes.

I then walk across to Ness's room and knock lightly. She answers right away and is already dressed. She had the same clothes from yesterday on as well.

"Come on!" She pulls me in, smiling.

I go in her room and my jaw drops.

A piano!

"What? Ness! How come you get a piano in your room! And a balcony!" I say running towards the balcony.

"This is your room silly." She states.

I look back at her confused.

"Yeah.. Yesterday you were so tired you just ran into the first room they showed you with a bed. Mine." She laughed.

I look at her with flushed face, "Oh... Well then.. Get out of my room!" I say jokingly.

"Alright." She plays along.

"Wait I need to tell you something. You have the best mattress in the house." We say in unison.

We both laugh. I run to my bed to test it for myself.

"Yassss." I say loving the mattress. It's just like the one in Ness' room.

"Move over!" Ness yells and jumps on the bed, pushing me off.

We laugh our beds off and I head to the piano.

She stays on the mattress with her eyes closed.

I sat at the piano, wishing I had my songbook.

But I try my best to remember the song I wanted to play and began:

That dream in dreaming but...
There's a voice inside my head saying, "You'll never reach it."
Every step I'm taking..

It's the climb!

I end it early. I couldn't remember the rest.

I hear clapping behind me. But not just one person.

I turn around and see Ness along with Calum and his parents there.

I'm so shocked I fall off the bench.

I quickly get up and smile at them, "Hi."

"Hi." They all say in unison, trying to hold in a laugh.

Sandy, Calum's mom, then comes closer to me and puts her hand on my shoulder.

I wish you could see her because seriously.. She's the cutest thing ever. She's so short compared to me. And I'm short af.

"Laura... Your piano playing and singing are impeccable." She smiles.

"Thank you." I say, smiling back.

"And especially thank you for letting us stay.. It's honestly a miracle that you'd share your home with us. You barely know us." Ness says.

"It's absolutely no problem. And, I have a feeling we'll get to know each other quickly." David said, looking at me and Sandy.

"So, what brings you hear?" Ness asks them, smiling.

"Oh yeah.. Umm we just came to bring you your own keys to the guest house." Calum says, handing Ness the keys.

"Thank you." Ness and I say.

It gets really awkwardly quiet and then David says to me, "I'll see you in the studio at six today."

He walks out, Calum waving at us and following behind him.

"Okay. Thank god they're gone." Sandy says to us.

Ness and I look at her confused...and a little shocked.

How could these words come out of this this sweet blue-eyed, red-haired, short, chubby woman that wearing crocs with socks. Hey.. That rhymed :)

"What?" I ask her.

"Yeah.. We need to go shopping." She smiles at me.

"Shopping? For what?" Ness and I say in unison, while looking at each other.

"New clothes, of course. Sure the boys didn't notice, but I know that you're wearing the same clothes as yesterday." She says to us, raising an eyebrow.

We look at her with red, embarrassed faces.

"You don't have to.."

"None of that. Anyways, this is a treat for me. I've always wanted a daughter and now I get two." She smiles.

I look at her adorable face and I can't help it. I start crying.

Why couldn't she be my real mom?

I hug Sandy and sob into her shoulder.
"Thank you.. So much." I whisper through my tears.

"Laura." Ness says pulling me away.

"It's fine." Sandy says looking at me, half smiling. "Let's go shopping. C'mon, and you guys can tell me all about your past."

"I don't think that's such a good id-" Ness starts.

"Oh yes it is. If you want to live in my guest house, that's my one condition." She says.

Ness and I look at each other and back at her.

"Okay. We'll tell you all about us." Ness finally says.
